Facebook är ett populärt nätvert som många använder sig av i dagens läge. I och med att Facebook är en plats där man ständigt interagerar med andra människor är jag intresserad att ta reda på hur självkänslan påverkas av ett aktivt Facebookanvändande vilket även är syftet med hela uppsatsen. Mina frågeställningar är:Hur påverkas självkänslan av att använda Facebook?Vilka specifika funktioner bidrar till att påverka självkänslan?För att ta reda på detta har jag använt mig av kvalitativa intervjuer som jag har utfört på fyra aktiva användare. I min analys har jag kommit fram till att Facebook påverkar självkänslan både positivt och negativt.

The aim of this essay was to examine children's experiences of having a pathological gambler as a parent, which consequences this led to socially, economically and emotionally, if those children got any help and in that case where and what kind of help.Central questions asked where:* In what way did the child experience consequences from the parent's gambling?* How did the child experience the gambling parent during the gambling period?* In what way did the gambling affect the relationship between the parent and the child?* How did the parent's gambling affect the child socially, emotionally and economically?* How did the child handle this?* What help did the child itself think it required?* Where did the child got help?This is a qualitative study of nine today adult persons that grown up with a pathological gambler as a parent. The method is qualitative semi structured interviews.The results of the study are that all of them experienced large consequences socially, emotionally and economically. The consequences varied depending on the total situation in the family. The result shows that all of them have got coping abilities and they have applied more to emotion-focused forms of coping than to problem-focused coping..

Aim: The aim of this study was to determine whether or not there is evidence for the usage of ginger as an antiemetic in patients experiencing chemotherapy related nausea, based on available scientific literature.Methods: The original articles were found by using search engines PubMed and CINAHL. The selected articles were then analyzed based on their content, quality and results. Based on the results from the content analysis the articles were placed in four different themes.Results: In the first theme two of the articles found that ginger had significant effect on chemotherapy related nausea, when used in combination with regular antiemetic treatment. Two other articles said that it does not. In the second theme four studies found that different forms of ginger lessens nausea, in contrast two other articles found that it does not have any increased effect on said nausea.

The purpose of this paper is to study how people without home experience social services and how they experience their space of action when they meet social services. In order to answer these questions, a qualitative approach has been used. The empirical material consists of five interviews with people who have contact with social services because they are homeless. To support my analysis of the space of action for the persons being interviewed, I?ve used two theoretical perspectives, power analysis by Michel Foucault and Rational Choice.

Syftet med detta projekt var att utveckla en design åt projektet Meal Planner för att få barn mer engagerade i matvalet. Designen fokuserar även på att hjälpa föräldrar i kostvalet och motverka matneofobi hos barn. Matneofobi är en tveksamhet eller motvilja till att prova nya maträtter vilket kan hindra barn från att äta maträtter som är potentiellt nyttiga och näringsrika för barnet. Tre teorier hittades som kan användas för att motverka matneofobi. Dessa kallas i denna uppsats för exponering, association och presentation.

Sammanfattning:Denna rapport är en del i utformandet av ett konstnärligt förhållningssätt till hantverk. Det ären presentation av hur en konstärlig process kan se ut då den grundar sig i varmsmidetskaraktäristiska egenskaper. Den beskriver hur materialets egenskaper utnyttjas genom intuitivthantverksmässigt formande och driver ett konstnärligt arbete framåt. Det konstnärliga arbetethar gått ut på att undersöka och gestalta någonting som från början inte formulerats i ord.Detta sker genom en rundgång mellan handens formande, materialets förutsättningar,människans sinnen, hennes upplevelser, tolkning av dessa och tillbaka till händernasformande.Rapporten för en diskussion som grundar sig i påståenden formulerade i två förarbeten och depraktiska erfarenheter projektet gett. Diskussionen behandlar olika konstnärliga och estetiskakvalitéer och hur dessa genom material och teknik uppstått.

This thesis takes on a broader perspective of the modern age phenomenon we call spam. One of the aims of this thesis is to present and to compare the variety of methods used in the day-to-day fight against spam, as far they have evolved today, but also to present and discuss some alternative methods for suggested future use. The properties of a common e-mail spam are analyzed to show how the components that make up the structure in an e-mail can be used to classify spam. Furthermore I explain the naïve Bayesian classification methods, the signature-based method, the commonly used rule-based method and the challenge and response method and discuss these. The widespread use of blacklists is also explained and a close new variant to blacklisting, Turntide is presented and discussed.

Research shows that people with burnout experience a high degree of impairments in a range of cognitive functions including memory, attention and concentration. The overall aim of the present study is to investigate whether there is a correlation between subjective estimates of cognition and cognitive performance with objective tests in people with burnout with a focus on working memory and executive functions. Three specific questions were addressed; First, what cognitive problems are described and to what degree? Second, is the performance of executive and working memory tests related to self-reported cognitive problems? Third, are the self-reported cognitive problems related to measures of psychological distress? The study included 77 patients, 65 women and 12 men, with a mean age of 43.48 years. The results show that patients with burnout perceive themselves as having significantly impaired cognition in everyday life, which is clearly evident on the basis of the self-assessment forms PRMQ and CFQ.

Inkorporering av extern data i datalager är problematiskt och problematiken bekräftas av aktuella undersökningar inom området. Detta har medfört att det utvecklats olika former av stöd för att bemöta och analysera problemen som organisationer ställs inför.För organisationer är det i högsta grad viktigt att dess beslutsfattare är välinformerade och klarar av att selektera information från stora mängder data. Det är i dessa sammanhang som en datalagerlösning är en viktig hörnsten för att stödja analys och presentation av data som ursprungligen är lagrad i olika datakällor (både interna och externa). Genom att inkorporera extern data i datalagret uppnår datalagret en betydligt högre potential och således kan även organisationer och framförallt dess beslutsfattare utvinna stora fördelar.Strand (2005) har tagit fram riktlinjer för att stödja inkorporeringsprocessen av extern data i datalager. Dock saknas en utvärdering av riktlinjerna.

Många småföretagare sköter inte själv all sin redovisning utan köper hela denna tjänst eller delar av den från en extern redovisningskonsult. Det finns många faktorer som kan påverka hur denna information förstås och används i småföretag. Kunskapsnivån hos småföretagaren kan vara en faktor, men även vilken kommunikation denne har med sin externa redovisningskonsult samt vilket sätt som informationen presenteras på. Studien genomfördes genom ett antal intervjuer med småföretag samt en redovisningskonsult. Vår studie visar på att denna redovisningsinformation presenteras på ett för dessa småföretag förståeligt och användbart sätt.

Syftet är att ta reda på hur de utvalda företagen utformar presentationen av den frivilliga informationen i sina årsredovisningar för att kommunicera med användarna. Vi har bedrivit en kvalitativ dokumentstudie av fem årsredovisningar. Genom att beskriva vilken frivillig information företagen valt att lyfta fram och hur den har presenterats har vi sökt svar på frågan i vår problemformulering. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att de årsredovisningar vi har undersökt och beskrivit har alla innehållit en hel del frivillig information både om företagets verksamhet och dess omvärld. Kreativ utformning har använts i relativt stor utsträckning för att presentera den frivilliga informationen på ett tilltalande sätt.

In the old university of Turku there were written about 4 400 theses. About 1100 of them havefound their way to Linköping in Sweden. This paper describes these theses, new variants whichwere found and some characteristics of their provenance. They are compared with the largebibliography over theses from Turku by Vallinkoski. A couple of theses with completeinformation which have not been available since 1827 were found.

This is a report founded on a project by Atlas Copco called NYSTAB.  The application Nystab is a calculation program that can calculate the stability of the rockdrill-rigs made by Atlas Copco. The original version of Nystab is stored in a database from 1997 and the code is made in an old version of Visual Basic. My assignment was to develop the application in to a newer programming environment and make it last better in the upcoming years. The software I decided to use to accomplish this project is C# .NET in Visual Studio and Microsoft Access 2010. All the code is written in C# with some insertions from ADO.NET which helped me to easier connect the code with the database.The coding part was split into two pieces; the first was to develop the application scale done with Windows Forms, the second was to write the code for calculations in the application.

This report studies the possibility of using some sort of radio sender and transmitter in order to position skis lost in powder snow. It is concluded that a RF-solution on the 433 MHz frequency should be the most efficient. Different forms of directional antennas are examined and studies show that in theory the best suited is the so called ?Yagi-Uda antenna?. A solution based on using a Receive Signal Strength Indicator value together with the above mentioned directional antenna is developed.

The purpose of this master thesis is to identify some phenomena that may contribute or work against the individual musician?s opportunities to contribute with their personal musical intuition in the orchestral work. I want to investigate under which conditions and in what context the orchestra environment gives musicians opportunities to take musical initiatives. I will also test a method to develop and work with musical intuition in a staged trombone audition called blåst. My wish is to highlight orchestra musician's perspective and experiences and to discuss where in an orchestral musician?s everyday work the artistic and authentic musical initiative appears and how we are going about it.
