In a global economy it is important to understand what project management is and how it functions in a contemporary company. This report includes an empirical case study of a project flow, which was conducted in the department Packaging Concept (PC) which is a part of Stora Enso. As all of PC´s customer enquiries are unique and must be considered an individual project, PC continuously works in projects. An analysis of the project flow was conducted based on interviews at and visits to PC as well as relevant documents distributed by the department. The report gives an understanding and analysis of how PC works in projects.

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate potential associations between usage of the cash flow statement report and time perspective in which companies? acts and set goals. Method: Our approach is quantitative, using empirical data summarized in a statistical procedure. The result is thereafter analysed through the developed analysis model from which conclusion is drawn. Results: We have in the investigation stated that the usage of the cash flow statement report varies depending on the time perspective in which companies? acts.

Detta  examensarbete  undersöker  skillnaden  i  tre  olika  nybörjargruppers  upplevda flow  då  de  spelat  Magicka  (2011)  med  motståndarantal  som  den  enda  skiljande variabeln.   Undersökningen   baseras   bland   annat   på   Csikszentmihalyis   (1990) flowteori och Caillois (2001) teori om att tävlande slutar vara roligt då det  urartar i kaos.  Syftet  med  examensarbetet  har  varit  att  hitta  när  mest  flow  uppstår  då nybörjare på Magicka (2011) spelar mot  en viss motståndartyp, samt om  detta flow bryts  när  för  många  motståndare  introduceras.  Undersökningen  har  visat  att  nio motståndare har resulterat i betydligt mer flow än tre, medan skillnaden mellan nio motståndare  och  18  har  varit  obetydlig.  Examensarbetet  har  dock  inte  lyckats kvantifiera  var  flow  övergår  till  kaos  med  den  testgrupp  och  motståndartyp  som använts.  Framtida  forskning  skulle  exempelvis  kunna  undersöka  på  vilket  sätt  ett varierande  motståndarantal  skulle  påverka  flow  för  en  mer  erfaren  testgrupp  som spelar mot andra motståndartyper..

Starting out as a minor form of amusement, the game industry has become one of the most lucrative andsuccessful in the entertainment business competing against giants such as television, movies and music.As the internal competition within the developer community grows companies work hard at discoveringnew ways to attract and keep customers. By having a playcentric approach focusing on user experiencethey hope to achieve that goal. This thesis describes the process of designing a game with focus on theplayer. We apply the concept of flow on game development and investigate through research throughdesign if we are able to create a game that keeps the player in flow.Play tests showed several elements such as control issues and too difficult challenges early in the game,affecting the possibility for players to experience flow while playing. These negative factors came to becalled flowleakers.

In 2013 a new emission standard for heavy trucks was introduced and hence a number of new parts was brought in to Scania CV AB. This created a need for modifications in the silencers flow. The flow is highly complex involving several suppliers, call off methods and different models of silencers. The aim for this project was to improve the existing silencers flow. The flow, from supplier to assembling, has therefore been mapped.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur elever i en vanlig svensk mellanstadieklassupplever flow i sitt lärande och vilka faktorer som påverkar upplevelsen av flow.För studien valdes en kvalitativ metod i form av enskilda intervjuer. Tre pojkar och treflickor i en klass 4 på mellanstadiet fick berätta vilket deras favoritämne var, och sedanbesvara frågor om hur de upplevde sitt favoritämne och hur de upplevde de övrigaämnena. Frågorna var skapade utifrån de olika faktorerna som påverkar flow enligtMihaly Csíkszentmihályis flowteori (Csíkszentmihályi, 1993).Resultatet av min undersökning visar att eleverna som intervjuades upplever flow iskolan, och då mest i favoritämnet. Det finns även exempel på motsatsen där entusiasmoch flow saknats i skolarbetet. Faktorer som har betydelse för att flow ska uppkomma ärbland annat rätt svårighetsgrad på uppgiften så att utmaningen anpassas efter individen,rätt tid och arbetstakt för genomförandet av uppgiften, möjlighet till medbestämmandeoch inflytande för den som utför uppgiften samt eliminerandet av störmoment underarbetet med uppgiften.Undersökningens resultat visar att flow har betydelse för elevens motivation och iförlängningen sannolikt också för elevens lärande.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka relevansen i tre olika teorier som förklarar hur Flow kan upplevas på en arbetsplats. Teorierna är skapade efter forskning från Csikzentmihaly, Hofstede samt Maslow. Undersökningen har skett på två olika arbetsplatser inom två olika yrkesgrenar för att finna om eventuella skillnader mellan dessa två arbetskontext kan påverka upplevelsen av Flow. Det ena företaget kategoriseras som en affärsmiljö och det andra företaget rubriceras som en kontorsmiljö. Tre hypoteser skapades som var för sig testade de tre teoriernas effekt på Flow.

Profitability must be obtained through low manufacturing costs, high quality and short lead times. One of the companies on the market is Sandvik Coromant, manufacturer of tools and chips for metal cutting. This master thesis investigates the methods of manufacturing for boring bars at the manufacturing unit GVH4 at Sandvik Coromant in Gimo, Sweden.

Most companies have a bottleneck in their production, that is a constraining re-source. When the demand is higher than the capacity in the constraining resource it is impossible to produce the demanded output. This problem leads to delayed deliveries, unhappy customers and ultimately to decreased revenue. Bottlenecks therefore has a significant role in production and must be handled thereof.MW Power in Sävsjö, Sweden designs and manufactures water and steam boilers for the customer's unique needs. MW Power invested in a new plasma cutting ma-chine but the machine has not reached the expected capacity.

Detta arbete har utförts för att undersöka frågeställningen ?Hur bör ett dataspels tutorial designas för att spelaren ska lära sig samtidigt som den främjar uppkomsten av flow??. För att besvara detta har teorier inom pedagogik, lärande av spel, användbarhet och flow samt mer generella teorier kring spel studerats för att skapa en teoribildning inom området. För att testa detta har ett spel med två olika tutorials skapats. Detta spel har sedan använts för att, med hjälp av två testgrupper, samla data om hur spelare lär sig samt deras flowupplevelse.

The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of activities, flows and waste in a company's production process. By performing a value stream analysis, non-value adding activities are identified in a production process and then the suggested improvements that can reduce lead times will be stated. The value-stream mapping identifies the flow of information and the flow of material in a production process and this provides the basis for the identification of non-value adding activities.We conducted the study at Lammhults Möbel AB in Lammhult Sweden, where the production flow of Spira-21 has been investigated. This to identify any non-value adding activities that affect the flow negative and consumes time and money in a non-value adding way.A reasonable approach for the project was taken by studying the methodologies and theories. We conducted interviews and site surveys at Lammhults Möbel AB where the flow of information and material in the production process were investigated.

Detta arbete syftar till att undersöka hur Csikszentmihalyis teorier kring optimala upplevelser, eller flow-upplevelser, kan appliceras på praktisk speldesign. I arbetet kombineras Csikszentmihalyis definition av begreppet flow med Jenova Chens riktlinjer för flow-uppmuntrande design i singleplayerspel för att ge underlag för framtagandet av ett brädspel i vilket applicerbarheten hos deras teorier och riktlinjer på multiplayerspel undersökts. För att teorierna och riktlinjerna effektivt skulle kunna undersökas utvecklades det tre olika versioner av brädspelet som alla innehåller olika element som, enligt Csikszentmihaly och Chen, bör alstra flow. Ett flertal spelgrupper fick spela dessa tre versioner och via enkätundersökningar och intervjuer förmedla hur de upplevde de olika versionerna, både som individuella produkter och i jämförelse med varandra. De data som erhålldes från dessa undersökningar indikerade på att nivån av kontroll spelaren har över sin spelsituation spelar en väldigt avgörande roll i hur han eller hon upplever spelaktiviteten i sin helhet..

The focus of this report has been to find correlations between raw material powders and press data, comparisons have also been made between raw materials and powder blends.The rheometer can show information of how a powder act in flow conditions, together with air and with pressure. Analyses has been done comparing the rheometer data with press parameters (for example: rejected orders, weight variations and the compaction pressure) with the goal to find correlations between the powders flow properties and the powders compaction in production.The measurements and analyses have been showing that the powder flow properties depends on the powders composition and that properties like flow rate, aeration and permeability varies between powder blends and batches of the same powder sort. It seems to exist a correlation between the pressure force and the flow rate of a raw material.

A good flow of information in organizations is one of the key aspects of how we define a well-functioning organization. The information flow could be internal as well as external between actors within as well as outside of the organization. In a logistics organization this flow of information is equally important as in any other kind of organization. In this paper we have explored information flows in logistics organizations by applying, boundary spanning and the mobile-stationary divide perspective. In boundary spanning the main goal is to erase or relocate some of the boundaries within an organization, in our case to make the flow of information internally as well as externally better.
