An environmental review has been carried out at FORIA AB, a transportation- and machine service company, to analyze the company?s environmental aspects from the transportation segment. This report describes the essential background and the methods of identifying and evaluate the environmental aspects. It also describes how the work with the environmental aspects often vary between different actors. The design of the ISO 14001 is intentionally broad in order to apply on all sorts of activities and organizations.

The soybean can be used in multiple ways, and its high oil content makes it suitable for extraction. Soy bean meal, a by-product of the oil extraction, is a good source of protein with a high feeding value, and is therefore used in a number of different animal feeds. Further, soy bean meal has a low production price, which is one of the reasons for the extensive export of the product. There is a great demand for vegetable-based proteins, especially in the organic production where synthetic amino acids are banned. However, the current production of soy beans is not environmentally sound and that combined with the long transport distances amplifies the need of finding a locally produced protein source.

The purpose of this thesis has been to build a parameterized model of a prototype motor in the program Solidworks, to use in future optimization of aspects of effectiveness and weight. The result were two models. The first model were one minor part of the whole design in 2D, to be able to optimize and study the minor part with a faster loss simulation. The second model was the whole design in 3D. The whole model were done with the three programs Solidworks, Comsol and Matlab.

To be competitive in the corporate climate of today it is important to have effective logistic activities. A common resource within the internal logistics is forklift trucks, which are used to lift and transport material. It becomes more and more important to decide whether to buy, lease or rent the forklifts to obtain an optimal economic situation. Many companies have issues with internal pricing. It is difficult to price products and services correctly. It is common to price the overall instead of what it really costs.The purpose of the thesis is to present a model for the acquisition of forklifts for internal logistic operations, regarding financing and internal pricing, to obtain economic effectiveness and an optimal forklift fleet size. The study focused on a specific research question, and for this purpose interviews with experts were held, observations were made and a literature study was done.

Many researchers emphasize the increasing strategic importance of supply chain management, but there is still a lack of concrete guidance for managers faced with strategic decisions in supply chain. Within decision-making theories, the rational decision-making model is the most commonly used. This because of its suitable foundation, enabling a structure to the complex decision process. The rational decision-making model is today not developed to include the aspects of strategic decision-making made in supply chain. The purpose of this research is to adjust a structured rational decision-making model, making it applicable for strategic decision-making in supply chain.

To analyse the Public Library Websites Andersson and Skot-Hansen?s model of roles for the Public Library has been used. This model in¬cludes four roles for the library: the library as a cultural centre, a knowledge centre, as an information centre and as a social centre.
Måltiden; näring för gemenskap : En kvalitativ studie kring den äldres upplevelser av måltidssituationen på ett särskilt boende.
The aim of our study was to examine how the elderly experience their meal situation in a sheltered housing. We have used a qualitative approach. We conducted individual interviews with six elderly in a sheltered housing to collect our empirical material. To reach the purpose of this study we tried to answer the questions: which factors affect the elderly person?s experience of the meal and which significance does the meal have for the elderly? To reach deeper understanding for our collected material we used Maslow?s theory of human motivation, the two concepts of Tönnies; gemeinschaft and gesellschaft, disengagement theory and the concept of Bourdieu, called habitus.

The purpose of this developmental research was to test the new way of working when the students were to take part in planning of cooking during the lessons in home and consumer studies, because the aim of the school is to teach the students to take the responsibility for their studies. The two first lessons should be used by students in the group to plan and organize their meal. During the third lesson the students must be responsible for cooking ready their meal and afterwards they must evaluate the results. The results of this new way of working was new for the students and they thought it was fun to be responsible for cooking during these lessons in home economics. The students in the groups were of wixed ability and they developed their knowledge from the levels of their ability.
En fallstudie om äldres uppfattningar om måltiden på ett äldreboende
Vårt syfte med denna fallstudie har varit att undersöka hur några individer på ett äldreboendeuppfattar måltiden utifrån FAMM.Fallstudien är uppbyggd på semistrukturella intervjuer och icke deltagande observationer.Urval: Det var totalt 10 medverkande som var i åldern 85-100 år. Alla medverkande boddepermanent på äldreboendet och var utvalda utifrån deras förmåga att kunna kommunicera dåstor del av de boende hade utvecklat demens. Intervjuerna samt observationerna analyseradesmed en kvalitativ analysmetod.I resultatet framgick att måltiden är ett komplext ämne och de äldre hade svårt att uttrycka sinåsikt gällande den. Utifrån intervjuerna framgick att de äldre på detta specifika boende varnöjda med de flesta aspekterna gällande måltiden. De var nöjda med rummet där måltiden åts,personalens engagemang uppskattades och de var nöjda med maten som serverades.
Kostansvarigas uppfattningar om införandet av ekologiska livsmedel i skolmåltidsverksamheten
The purpose of this study was to examine how food managers of Östergötland County disucss around their possibilities of reaching the government´s orientation towards 25 per cent of the food - procured, prepared and cooked in the school meal - coming from certified organic production. The study was a cross-sectional study in wich a qualitative approach was used. The sample consisted six food managers in Östergötland. Data processing was done through a semantic content analysis. The result showed that involvment and intrest were significant factors for the introduction of organic food in the school meal. The three municipalities with the highest percentage of organic food used the SMART - concept.

Search terms that were used were: breakfast,breakfast quality, children, glycemic index, energy intake, obesity.Selection criteria: Randomized controlled trials and cohort trials, breakfast eatingindividuals, children and adolescents under 18 years old, reported glycemic index. Outcomemeasurements: Energy intake.Data collection and analysis: Six original articles met the inclusion criteria and werereviewed by the SBU audit template for randomized and controlled studies. There after onearticle was excluded because of very low quality of the study.
?Äter jag inte stark mat är jag inte riktigt människa? : en pilotstudie om mat- och måltidskultur i förhållande till ?proper meals? för fem singalesiska kvinnor boende i Sverige
En typiskt singalesisk måltid tar lång tid att göra, den ska bestå av flera smårätter och gärna med kryddor från hemlandet. Har den kulturella måltidssynen hos de singalesiska kvinnorna förändrats, förstärkts eller påverkats av att vara i ett annat land och i så fall varför? Är det fortfarande den singalesiska husmanskosten som anses vara ett ?proper meal?? Syftet är att undersöka fem singalesiska kvinnors egna uppfattningar om ämnet ?proper meal? från ett singalesiskt perspektiv och undersöka om deras uppfattning har förändrats under tiden de bott i Sverige. Studien är kvalitativ och för att undersöka hur singalesiska kvinnor uppfattade och tänkte kring dessa frågor har en pilotfokusgrupp samt en skarp fokusgrupp skulle utgjort metoden för datainsamling. En lunch eller middag ska enligt denna studie vara singalesisk och därigenom bestå av en kött- eller fiskrätt, serveras med ris och två till tre grönsaker som tillbehör för att den ska vara en riktig måltid både till vardagar och helger. Kopplingen till ?proper meals? kan göras från ett singalesiskt perspektiv för vardags-, helg- och även festmåltider.
ABB Gate Model : En processledningsmetod för ABB:s produktutveckling
Organisations tend to focus more and more on product and process development to increase their competitiveness. Several major organisations, among them ABB, have developed models aimed to more effectively control and manage product development processes. ABB is using its standardised model ABB Gate Model for this. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze how the introduction of ABB Gate Model has affected the outcome of decisions and also the decision-making in the product development process. The study is limited to elucidate the version of ABB Gate Model handling product development projects.

It has long been discussed how to use music in a new way in the field of food and elderly, and in this study, the authors wanted to test this. Music is the language of emotions. It?s a powerful tool, but its effects are difficult to predict (Theorell, 2009). Malnutrition in the elderly is a serious condition that often gets overlooked (Edfors & Westergren, 2012).
