According to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) shall at least a mean of 10 trees per hectare including riparian zones and other areas with high biological values be left in final felling. In addition large clear areas should not be created and all retained trees with high environmental value shall be spared. To leave trees in final felling means a lower cutting volume and hence a lower income from the cutting, but it also means that the production in the next generation becomes less because of competition. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect retained trees have on the production in the new generation of forest, and to investigate if there is any way to lower this effect. The environmental care has also been estimated by the amount left in final felling.

This report is a result of a degree thesis at Luleå University of Technology together with Stram AB in Växjö. The project aimed to develop a size reducible bed, that gets small when folded and has a new slim design. The development of the new folding bed had the purpose to give Stram AB new ideas of how guest beds can look like and be used in the future. Information about Stram´s products and also information of other similar products on the market was gathered. A visit at a store, internet and interviews gave grater insight of the market, and of customer needs.

This report describes a final thesis done during the spring of 2008 as part of the bachelor degree in computer engineering degree at the School of Engineering in Jönköping.The client is working in the consulting business and is involved in, amongst others, work regarding information security. Within this field they perform so called Threat, Risk and Vulnerability assessments. Today these assessments are done by a predefined method, but many details are controlled by the person documenting the project. A wish was made that the implementation was standardized, it should also ease the task of estimating the need for time and money. The solution for this seems to be a software tool.

This thesis suggests an explanation for how it is possible for individuals living in an unsafe neighborhood to expressa highlevel of security. Araby is the district in Växjö municipality withthe highest level of insecurity. Within the district, there is acategory of individuals in security-measurements showing a high degree of security. Inhabitants living in house in Araby also seem to show a higher level of security than inhabitants in the same accommodation in other neighborhoods in the municipality.The study's purpose is to understand how individuals belonging to an unsafe neighborhood can experience a high degree of security.Qualitative data were collected from an observation in Araby and from interviews with individuals living in house in the district.Previous research has shown that security in the surrounding area depends on several factors, such as disorders, the degree of social control and personal opinions. Thestudy shows how a distinction to places and people in the district can explain the degree of security.

This master thesis consists of an investigation of the profitability per hectare in privatly owned forest land. The investigation is based on data collected from Skogsstyrelesen, Riksskogstaxeringen and Skogsforsk. During the last twenty years the prices on pulp wood and saw log have substantial decreased, but during the same time the the volumes from final felling have increased and the cost for felling has decreased, this investigation shows how the netprofit per hectARE after final felling has changed between year 1980-2005 This investigation shows that that the netprofit has stayed on a stable level during the years 1985-2005 even though prices pulp wood and saw log decreased. Much indicates that the demand of swedish pulp wood and saw log will continue to be strong or even stronger wich will give increased prices and an higher netprofit after final felling in the future.

This report will try to evaluate the use of rented concrete casting moulds, which are used to build walls and system of joists. The evaluation is only examining the economical aspects.The cost of using concrete casting moulds is a big part of the total production expenses. Therefore it is important that the calculated price not exceeds the final costs of the casting moulds. The calculated price is the price used in the process of making an offer.The evaluation consists of a comparison of the calculated price and the final costs for three building projects. This essay looks into the concept of self-efficacy and its implications for work performance. The participants in this study work for a call center company situated in the southern part of Sweden. The hypothesis is that a high degree of self-efficacy exerts a positive effect on work performance. Furthermore, the study seeks to identify the factors that give rise to work satisfaction among the participants. The results of the study show that there is a negative correlation between high self-efficacy and work performance.

I föreliggande arbete redovisas ett försök med arbetssättet Storyline i franskundervisning på gymnasiet. Syftet var att undersöka hur elevernas utrymme och förmåga att uttrycka sig muntligt utvecklas när man använder ovannämnda arbetssätt. Under fem veckor fick 19 gymnasieelever arbeta i grupper och tillverka varsin person som de sedan skrev olika texter kring och presenterade för varandra. Den inledande undersökningen visar att eleverna anser att de talar för lite franska på lektionerna. I utvärderingen efter försöksperioden är eleverna övervägande positiva till arbetssättet, men de anser inte att Storyline är bra för att träna den muntliga förmågan.

This report was written as a result of a Bachelor Degree Project at the School of Technology and Society at University of Skövde, first semester 2007. The assigner was Tibrokök in Tibro, Sweden. The commission was originally to design a sliding door concept for kitchen. Later it was expanded to also include bathrooms.During the feasibility study of the project Internet was used as an information source. Kitchen brochures and magazines were ordered from different companies to give inspiration and ideas.

This thesis is a study of the indicated connection between degree of market orientated solutions and range of formal actions against corruption in Swedish municipalities. The indicated connection points in the direction that municipalities with a high degree of market orientated solutions have a higher range of formal actions against corruptionthan municipalities with a low degree of market orientated solutions. In this thesis the indicated connection is studied by analyzing documents fromand interviewing representatives of two Swedish municipalities with differentdegree of market oriented solutions; Botkyrka municipality representing a lowdegree and Nacka municipality representing a high degree. The results of analyzed documents and interviews show the range of formal actions taken against corruption by the municipalities.The empirical results of this thesis is that Nacka municipality have a higher range of formal actions against corruption than Botkyrka municipality has, a result which corresponds with and confirm the indicated connection between high degree of market orientated solutions and high range of formal actions against corruption..

Uppsatsen ämnar undersöka hur gymnasielärare med ämneskombinationen svenska/engelska ser på användandet av dramapedagogik som metod i sina ämnen. Uppsatsen bygger på intervjusvar från åtta kvalitativa intervjuer gjorda med svensk/engelsklärare på två olika gymnasieskolor i Kalmar under våren 2008. Resultatet visar att många lärare är positiva till dramapedagogik men att det är få som använder det i en större utsträckning. Skälen att inte använda drama är enligt de intervjuade framförallt okunskap, tidsbrist samt organisatoriska svårigheter..

SammandragLena Edander, 2013: Bedömaröverensstämmelse vid Nationella provet i svenska för gymnasiet kurs 1, skrivdelenI denna undersökning studeras hur hög bedömaröverensstämmelse som nås då fem av varandra oberoende bedömare betygssätter 30 elevtexter skrivna vid det nationella provet i svenska 1 för gymnasiet. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på hur hög bedömaröverensstämmelse som nås, men även att försöka finna svar på varför lärarnas bedömning emellanåt varierar.För att undersöka detta har lärarnas betygssättning av elevtexterna sammanställts och beräkningar av bedömaröverensstämmelsen genomförts med avseende på procentuell överensstämmelse, korrelation samt standardavvikelse. Resultaten av beräkningarna har sedan analyserats och slutsatser angående orsaker till avvikelser i betygssättningen har gjorts angående tre elevtexter där bedömningen varierar mycket.Resultatet visar att en överensstämmelse på 35 % nås mellan lärarna. Orsaker till varierad bedömning av de tre utvalda elevtexterna står att finna bland annat i olika tolkning av uppgiften samt olika tolkning av matrisens aspekter. Slutsatsen blir att lärare bör sambedöma elevtexter för att få en mer rättvis betygssättning.

The definition of procrastination can be described as a behavior with deliberate postponement of tasks or commitments despite expected negative consequences for the individual and his or her environment. This study examined how widespread this behavior is among students in higher education in Sweden. Using a web-based survey, data was collected for analysis. A statistical program, SPSS, was used for evaluation of the collected data. The purpose of this study was to examine whether there are differences in the degree of procrastination between students located on campus versus students who do their education at distance.
