Abstract Title: Coaching Leadership - A win-win situation? Level: Final assignment for Master Degree in Business Administration Author: Helena Gustafsson Supervisor: Pär Vilhelmson Date: 2012 ? mars Aim: The purpose of this study is to examine how companies use the coaching leadership and how the employees perceive to have a manager who uses this way to lead. Method: The study was conducted as a qualitative study in which interviews was an important feature. The information I gathered is the basis for analysis and final discussion. The material has been collected through personal interviews with two managers and then I send questions to the employees by e-mail that they responded. This is to get such an interesting empirical data as possible.

Statistics Sweden is an administrative agency that delimits built-up areas and produces statistics regarding them. The statistics provide information about the area of the built-up areas, their population number, number of gainfully employees working in the built-up areas, and of buildings. Now Statistics Sweden wishes to extend such statistics by producing a measure regarding how well developed the service is in each built-up area.This study is a contribution to this statistical improvement work and the purpose is to ? by employing geographical information systems and cluster analysis ? classify the Swedish built-up areas according to 1) service width and 2) service degree. A particular built-up area has a high service width if it has many different service functions, such as pharmacies, schools and grocery stores.

 A villas price depends on several important factors. By statistical data, a mathematical multiple regression model was modeled. The model has important explanatory variables such as living space, renovation year and standard points has been taken into consideration, in order to assess their impact on the final price for private homes.By using a statistical program,Minitab 16, the final model was selected with eight explanatory variables. The regression for this model explains up to 67.3 % of the variation on the final price.The results showed percentage wise that the standard points had the greatest impact on the price, there after renovation year and then living space..

SammanfattningSyftet med det här examensarbetet är att genom en läromedelsanalys jämföra betygsmålen för EN 1201 (Engelska A) med sex utvalda läromedel, varav tre läromedel för yrkesförberedande program samt tre för studieförberedande program, för att granska om de satta målen uppnås. Det har även undersökts huruvida läromedel avsedda för studieförberedande respektive yrkesförberedande program innehåller skillnader med avseende på hur de behandlar betygsmålen.Resultatet visar att inget läromedel når upp till alla mål och det är främst två mål som fattas i läromedlen: (1) att jämföra kulturtraditioner/levnadssätt/samhällsförhållande samt (2) elevers reflekterande över lärandet. Även texter och övningar utifrån elevers studieinriktning saknas ofta. Grammatik får stor plats i läromedlen fast att det inte finns med som ett specifikt mål.Slutsatsen är att lärare inte enbart kan stödja sin undervisning på läromedlen utan det krävs en professionell tolkning av målen och en lokal arbetsplan för läraren att stödja sin undervisning på. Inspections within the building industry are surrounded by a rigorous set of rules presented in AB 04 and ABT 94. There are several types of inspections but the final inspection has the biggest legal implications and is important in many aspects, since it?s the one that ends the contract time for the contract i.e. when the contract is passed on from contractor to the client. It is also a confirmation on how the contract has been carried out and that the potential guarantee times after the contract will start to apply. The objective of the following report is to find out what different types of inspections there are as well as a legal understanding about what happens before, during and above all after the final inspection.

Real options analysis is a method for assigning value to flexibility in decisions, coming from uncertainty in future outcomes. This thesis ascertains to what degree this method is superior to traditional net present value analysis, with regards to ease of implementation in relation to the benefits from being able to measure the total value. Real options analysis is evaluated with a case study of the Swedish online gambling market, and conducted with the binomial framework of Copeland and Antikarov (2003). The authors find the sensible use of real options dependant on the specific situation to which it is applied, i.e. a certain degree of future uncertainty and managerial flexibility is necessary for justification of the increased workload.

In this report a model was constructed in order to determine how a number of covariates influence the gross domestic product, GDP. The covariates were chosen depending on their expected influence on GDP, for example education and life expectancy. The data used in this report are collected from the World Bank. The model to describe GDP has been calculated using multiple line arregression. In order to reach a reliable final model the number of covariates has been gradually decreased to eliminate insignificant covariates.

Syftet med föreliggande uppsats är att undersöka hur lärare och elever på gymnasiet resonerar kring lyrikanvändning på gymnasiet. Två lärare och fyra elever har intervjuats, och resultatet av författarens tolkningar av intervjusvaren är att en framgångsrik lyrikundervisning bygger på lärarens engagemang och på varierande undervisningsmetoder. Lärarnas olika tolkningar av styrdokumenten medför också att de väljer att fokusera på olika saker i sin undervisning. Det förefaller emellertid inte vara så att eleverna anser att de kan ha någon speciell nytta av lyrikundervisningen i framtiden..

Studien undersöker om elever som tränar mycket i skolan och på sin fritid presterar bättre betygsmässigt på gymnasiet än de elever som inte är lika aktiva. Kan dessa olikheter mellan de elever som tränar mycket och en kontrollgrupp skilja sig åt i avseende på LOT, PANAS, SE och HAD. Hypotesen som testas är: Träning korrelerar positivt med bra betyg. För att utreda om hypotesen stämmer har elever på gymnasiet fått fylla i en enkät. Enkäten innehåller dels flera psykologiska test, PANAS, LOT, SE och HAD, men även ett formulär där deras betyg ska skrivas in.Resultatet för studien visar att hypotesen stämmer.

Med utgångspunkt från att det finns en antydan till en berättelse i datorspelet Final Fantasy IX argumenterar denna uppsats för att spelet innehar en narrativ struktur. Diskussionen förs genom att undersöka om vi kan uppfatta spelet som en text; om det är möjligt att applicera Gérard Genettes teorier om berättelsers hastighet samt om det är möjligt att urskilja en dubbel kronologi i spelet. Som teoretisk bakgrund används datorspelsforskning, textteori, narratologi samt termer hämtade från ny medieforskning, vars ändamål är att undersöka om vi kan utläsa en berättelse i Final Fantasy IX..

Denna uppsats är en undersökning och en jämförelse av redigeringsprogrammen Avid Media Composer och Final Cut Pro X. Utgångspunkten i analysen är användbarhet och användaren. Saker som tas upp och diskuteras är teknikutvecklingen och konkurrensen mellan redigeringsprogrammen. Den historiska aspekten presenteras och förklaras för att lägga en grund till hur det ser ut i dagsläget. Några av de sakerna som jag kommer fram till är att teknikutvecklingen ofta sker på användbarhetens bekostnad och att användaren ofta måste anpassa sig efter tekniken.

The project was carried out in cooperation with the department of product development IOS at IKEA. The work included improvements of a new existing product that Ikea soon will release on the market, Observatör, a wall bracket for flat screens. The product is supposed to fulfil the needs within this market for IKEA. However, since Ikea was not satisfied with it, our work was to carry out the improvements that were specified in the beginning of the project. Another task in the project was to develop a side-product that is supposed to be used together with Obeservatör for storage of DVD/decoders.The project included labour as problem definition to final technical drawings and a prototype.

Background: Diabetes is a common disease where the degree of self-management is of paramount importance. Individual factors influences both cooping and general wellbeing among diabetic patients. Glycemic control is known to be important but other factors ought to be considered. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe how individual self-management influences the general wellbeing among adult diabetic patients. Method: This literature study is based on scientific articles.

This degree project is made for Cervera in Norrköping and Linköping. The task was to create a professional interactive homepage for the company where the company's range of products can be presented. Besides a homepage aimed towards potential customers, an online Internet-application where the company's employees can update, erase, and create posts that are stored in the database was created. The main programming languages have been PHP and HTML in combination with databases in MySQL. The final result was a functional, professional and informative homepage with a simple and pedagogical application for the employees.

Animal welfare can be measured in several different ways; for example by using animal-based measurements. It has been shown that register data from the Swedish Official Milk Recording Scheme can be helpful when identifying herds at risk of having poor animal welfare, which led to a development of the advisory service of ?Ask the Cow? and the web report ?Animal Welfare Signals?. The aim of this project was to find out if register data from ?Animal Welfare Signals? can be used as a screening tool for detecting herds at risk of having poor animal welfare and in need of an ?Ask the Cow?.
