Uppsatsen syftar till att, ur ett genusperspektiv, undersöka hur manliga och kvinnliga författare beskrivs och det utrymme de får i två antologier för gymnasiet. Uppsatsen brukar två analysmetoder, den kvantitativa metoden används då antal omnämnda författare anges i siffror, och kvalitativ metod med hermeneutisk inriktning används vid undersökningen av hur manliga och kvinnliga författare beskrivs. I studien framgår tydligt att kvinnliga författare marginaliseras medan de skrivande männen är många till antalet och får stort utrymme. Studien visar vidare att männen beskrivs med högre värderade epitet än kvinnorna. Adjektiv som furstlig och mästerlig är vanliga när det gäller beskrivandet av män, medan beskrivningen av kvinnliga författare är deras biografi, privatliv och verk i fokus..

Åsikten att kvinnan anses vara underställd mannen är inget nytt fenomen. Detta synsätt har präglat både det svenska och oändligt många andra samhällen under hundratals år. Sverige anses av många vara ett av världens mest jämställda länder när det gäller mycket, så även skolsystemet. Skolans värld är majoriteten av människorna i Sverige en del av under en tidsperiod av livet. Men hur återges då det jämställda svenska samhället för eleverna? Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur kvinnor och män framställs genom fotografierna i läroböcker för historia på gymnasiet.

Library and information science (LIS), being a research area characterized by theoretical discord and definition disarray, provides an interesting field of inquiry. Its content, boundaries, scope and superior identity are not clearly stated. This Master s thesis focuses on a thus far unexplored perspective on the discipline: a conceivable statistic and causes- and- effect relationship between the LIS students appreciated identification with the superior identity of the discipline, and the chosen vocational direction within the field. This relationship is examined through testing a working hypothesis on the results of a major quantitative questionnaire survey. The theory behind our research derives mainly from Thomas Kuhn and Richard Whitley.

Den här studien har haft sin utgångspunkt i historieläroböcker för gymnasiet. Läroböcker används i stor utsträckning i undervisningssammanhang. Enligt styrdokumenten ska alla läroböcker förmedla demokratiska värden, vilket är ett av skolans centrala uppdrag. För att lyckas med det här krävs också att en ökad förståelse för vad odemokratiska värden innebär. Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka hur väl historieläroböcker behandlar dylika värden.

Vi har i detta examensarbete genom en enkät undersökt vilka undervisningsmetoder som förekommer på gymnasiet i kurs A i matematik på 10 skolor i Malmö och Lund. Resultatet visar att den traditionella metoden med genomgång vid tavlan följt av lösning av uppgifter i läroboken dominerar helt med 75 % av totala tiden. Andra arbetsformer som arbete i grupp och laborativt arbete används i liten utsträckning. Enligt matematikdelegationens rapport är det önskvärt att förändra dagens situation och det finns även en sådan vilja inom lärarkåren. Ett stort hinder är tidsbrist.

Ocean Modules Sweden AB is a small business active in the field of underwater technology. Thecompany was contacted by the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) in order todevelop a new system that would conform to their specific requirements. Two students at theRoyal Institute of Technology (KTH) were consulted in conjunction of this project in order to aidthe development and conceptual design of the system.The primary users of the system are the divers of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal division (EOD)- a branch of the Swedish Armed Forces. The purpose of the product was to incorporate allnecessary functions required by the EOD divers into one single system. The main functions arecommunication between the surface operator and diver, video recording, still imaging, positioning,navigation and ocean floor mapping with sonar.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur tre religionslärare uppfattar religionsmötets betydelse och konsekvenser i undervisningen på gymnasiet. Med religionsmöte avses här då en grupp elever gör ett studiebesök hos något religiöst samfund eller då en religionsrepresentant besöker skolan och för ett samtal med eleverna i klassrummet.För att uppfylla syftet genomfördes en kvalitativ intervjustudie med tre religionslärare. Resultatet visar att lärarna har flera syften med religionsmöten i undervisningen. Det primära är att eleverna skall få en förståelse för den troende och den religion som denne representerar. Man vill även med religionsmötet bryta elevernas eventuella fördomar.

This report was written as a result of a Bachelor Degree Project at the School of Technology and Society at University of Skövde spring 2007, together with Jede AB in Mariestad. The report covers the development of a door to a coffee vending machine that is under construction, and will in a chronological order describe the project from ideas to final product.The project started with a rather extensive feasibility study that thru market research and user tests sorted out the opinions of potential customers, concerning today?s available assortment. Technical areas concerning materials and manufacturing methods were also scrutinized for the consideration of the possibilities of a future production.The next step was to constructively generate ideas and thoughts that later on could grow to be potential solutions. After several weeks of hard work and pieces of good advice and recommendations from the assigner, four comprehensive concepts were built up.

Al Gore may have helped put global warming on the agenda. However, it is not a new subject. Neither is so called green marketing a new phenomenon within branding and communication. As more and more companies establish environmental strategies there exist beliefs that the environmental focus is becoming a triviality, which is the reason for this study. Implementation of words such as ?environmentally friendly?, ?green? and ?global warming? is becoming more and more widespread and frequently used within marketing communication.

This is a master degree thesis at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) betweenÅngpanneföreningen and Programma. KTH is the examiner, Programma is the client andÅngpanneföreningen is mentor for this project.Programma has a product called TM1800 that has problems with EMC; the problem is thatthis product does only pass the CE-check with a small safety margin. This problem can besolved by reducing the radiation from the electric components in the product or by reducing offix base frame. In this degree thesis the focus is only on mechanical redesign.The main problems right now depends on the long distance between the screws, there is anisolating layer on most of the parts and the forces between the joints are too small. The mainfocus is to solve these three problems.The best solutions are when the whole base frame is more or less redesigned instead of onlyredesigning some of the connection points.

The purpose of the study is to analyse the representations of Jewish festivals and how they affect the teaching in three textbooks for Religious Education 1 in Secondary Upper Education. The textbooks are Religion och livet (2007) written by Börge Ring, Religionskunskap för gymnasiet (2009) written by Lars-Göran Alm and Religion 1 för gymnasiet (2012) written by Lennart Göth, Katarina Lycken Rüter and Veronica Wirström. The basis for the study is the phenomenological perspective as described by Émile Durkheim and in particular Carl-Henrik Grenholm and Karl-Johan Illman. It tells that religion cannot purely be understood as a religious belief without its rituals. This phenomenological perspective on religion both the curriculum and syllabus encourages.

Detta examensarbete undersöker hur lärare på ett yrkesförberedande ? och ett studieförberedande program strukturerar sin undervisning av litteraturhistoria i kursen Svenska B på gymnasiet samt hur de läroböcker som används på respektive program är uppbyggda och vad de innehåller. Metoden som används är textanalys av kursupplägg och läroböcker. Resultatet visar på att det finns skillnader mellan de två programmen både vad gäller kursupplägg och läroböcker. Läroböckerna skiljer sig åt genom att den som används på det yrkesförberedande är enklare uppbyggd och tillgängligare för en elev än vad den svårare och faktamättade läroboken som det studieinriktade programmet använder.

People working with handling parcels in terminals are often victims of musculoskeletal injuries. This is largely due to the hazardous lifting of too many parcels which are too heavy and unsuitable work postures. The human body?s ability to lift and grasp objects is so outstanding that developing a device with the same capability is very difficult.The goal of the project has been to develop a technical device that will improve the handling of parcels with regard to ergonomics. The area of concern was the lifting of parcels between the conveyor belt and the cargo space of the freight car.

Swedish doctrines emphasises the use of maneuver warfare in combat. Therefore we need tounderstand how a modern state can transform maneuver theories in doctrine into combat practice.United States Marine Corps, a joint armed force in itself, has participated in both Desert Stormand Iraqi Freedom and has since the 1980?s used a maneuver warfare concept. The aim of thisessay is to describe and explain to what degree USMC has conducted maneuver warfare in theIraq wars 1991 and 2003 according to maneuver theory, in the light of how maneuver warfareis thought to be conducted in accordance with then present warfighting doctrines. Theconclusions are that USMC has followed their doctrines in part; the Desert Storm warfaredeviated more from doctrine than the Iraqi Freedom warfare regarding maneuver warfare.

This final thesis is initiated by the wood fuel department at the Swedish forest company Sveaskog as part of a project which also involves two other final thesises. The overall goal of the project is to investigate Sveaskog´s possibilities to produce and sell different wood fuel assortments in Västerbotten and the southern parts of Norrland. The aim of this thesis is to investigate how much wood fuel Sveaskog can produce in the area during the next five years and what that would cost. Furthermore the thesis will investigate the total possible supply of wood fuel from all other possible producers in the area. Treated assortments are forest residues from final fellings, whole trees from direct wood fuel thinnings, non industrial wood and industrial by-products from sawmills. The main effort to investigate Sveaskog´s production possibilities has been made to calculate the possible annual amount of forest residues and fuel from wood fuel thinnings that can be produced.
