Bergvik Skog is one of the leading forest companies in Sweden who use airborne laser scanning for forestry information. They utilize laser data retrieved by the Swedish National Land Survey to describe the forest holdings and facilitate planning for thinning and final felling operations. However, the possibility to identify stands with clearing needs by using laser scanning data has not been tested in a large scale. The data used in the current study are field data from The Swedish National Forest Inventory in combination with laser data from the Swedish National Land Survey acquired in 2009. The collected data is used to find one or several laser variables that best describe the relationship of the field measured samples with clearing needs.

After I heard that two deadly accidents in farming 2003 were created by work with cattle, I got the idea of writing this degree project. So far there are not too many reports written about safety for the worker nor the animal. Therefore it will fit in with a report about safe handling of free stalled cattle. The Swedish Board of Agriculture would also like to do an information material about outside stalled cattle with this degree project as a background. The collecting of material was made by visiting farmers. The goal was to visit 15 ? 20 herds and when this is being written 19 herds have been visited.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka orientalistiska tendenser i religionsläroböckerna som används på gymnasieskolorna i centrala Örebro. Edward Saids bok Orientalism är grunden till de fyra hypoteser som utgör undersökningens centrum. Dessa hypoteser berör vi- och dem- inställningen i böckerna, maktspelet mellan öst och väst, västs tankar om islam som outvecklad, oförutsägbar och farlig och synen på islam och muslimer som en grupp.Metoden i undersökningen är ett litteraturstudium av de aktuella religionsläroböckerna, av Kjell Härenstams och Jonas Otterbecks tidigare forskning och av övrig litteratur vilken är relevant för undersökningen. Undersökningens fokus ligger på vilka orientalistiska tendenser som finns i läroböckerna i beskrivningen av islam och dessa ställs mot både Lpf 94 och Kursplanen för religionskunskap.Vid undersökningens genomförande uppmärksammades exempel från alla fyra hypoteser. Dessa visade sig framför allt i en del ordval och formuleringar som många gånger inte upplevdes som objektiva beskrivningar av islam och som ibland även presenterade motsägande information om religionen.Kjell Härenstam är den som tidigare har forskat mest kring det han kallar för ?skolboks-islam? och utgör därför den litteratur som användes i en jämförande analys av resultatet i denna undersökning.

Studiens syfte är att få en ökad förståelse för och kunskap om elever med 20,0 i slutbetyg på gymnasiet. För att uppnå syftet formulerades följande två frågeställningar; Vad krävs, enligt tio respondenter, för att uppnå, vilka är drivkrafterna och vilket värde har det gymnasiala slutbetyget 20,0? samt hur tio respondenter beskriver sin väg till slutbetyget 20,0 på gymnasiet? Metoden som använts är intervju av kvalitativ karaktär. Studiens empiri består av svar från tio respondenter med 20,0 i gymnasialt slutbetyg. Empirin relateras till forskning om betyg och bedömningar, urval, differentiering, kunskap, högpresterande elever etcetera.

  Purpose/Aim: To achieve a deeper knowledge and better understanding of how Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama use rhetoric figures and body language to convince the people that they are the individual who should be elected as the democratic nominee and if and in which way Internets characteristics take practical expressions in the supply of videos on YouTube and Barack Obamas and Hillary Clintons official websites.Material/Method: Quantitative content analysisMain results: Hillary Clintons and Barack Obamas ability to spread out exactly the information they want on their official websites takes expression in form of videos with only positive information. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama try to create a form of advertising on their official websites through the publication of these videos. Internets special characteristics are highly visible and realized in the videos on YouTube. Users are very active which take expressions in creative creations of videos. On YouTube there also exists negative information about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Communication, information and marketing are three of the main prerequisites for companies that want to increase their turnover. The everyday work for a Forest Manager within the forest owners? association Mellanskog consists to a large part of interpersonal communication, either by close vicinity contact or by phone calls. Interpersonal communication is time consuming and resource intensive. If the flow of information, communication and marketing does not function well then there is a lack of a base for development.

The aim of this study was to investigate people?s ability to detect deception and if variables such as birth order, personality and suspiciousness affect this ability. The study was conducted at Växjö University with students as participants (n = 278). A film of two people arguing both for and against their own personal opinions was constructed and participants assessed credibility on a categorical scale (Honest/Dishonest). Neither birth order nor level of suspiciousness revealed significant differences as pertains to credibility attribution.

Partikelverb är semantiskt och syntaktiskt komplexa och är något andraspråksinlärare lärsig behärska sent i andraspråksutvecklingen. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur oftaelever som läser svenska som andraspråk på gymnasiet använder partikelverb i skrivenproduktion i jämförelse med elever som läser svenska. Analysmetoden bygger på ett antal kriterier som utarbetats med stöd från tidigare forskning. Materialet för studien utgörs av 12 elevtexter som hämtats ur det nationella provet från 2012 i svenska 1 och svenska som andraspråk 1 på gymnasiet. Resultatet visade inga stora skillnader mellan informantgrupperna, vilket inte överensstämmer med tidigare forskning.

Recent studies indicate that teaching the theory of evolution in Swedish secondary schools is not as uncontroversial as expected considering that Sweden is often described as one of the World?s most secularzied countries. A recent study indicates that Swedish teachers have a varity of tactics to avoid coming in conflict with their students or even parents of students that believe they have a rightto dictate how evolution should be taught. This study had fourmain aims; the first being to analyse both the previous curriculum and the new to see how the teaching of evolution is adressed, and if any changes have been made in the curriculum. The second being to look into how teachers interpret the curriculumand if they have noticed any changes in the new curriculum which have had an affect on their teachingmethods? The third being if teachers have met resistance when they teach evolution and the origins of life, and if so, how do they deal with these conflicts? The fourth and final aim of this study was to see if instances of conflict are on the rise as indicatedin the literature.The results of this study indicate that there has been no siginificant changes made in the curriculum with the exceptionthat the new curriculum is more clear and precise as to what teachers are expected to teach and that pseudoscience, such as intelligent design, has no place in science classroomsexcept when teachingthe philosophy of science.

Indusec AB is a companythat develops security solutions.Together with the Police of Sweden theyhave gotten the assignment to develop anapplication based on one of theiralready existing product Inferno soundbarrier. This application is supposed tobe mounted on a ballistic shield thatthe police use, the application consistsof a speaker box (the sound barrier) anda trigger with wire. The trigger withwire is the part that will be addressedin this thesis. The application willthen be used as a tool to surprise atarget at various skirmishes.The project consists of three majorphases, pre-study, concept generationand modeling.

An inquiring study of literature has been conducted, about the human colour perception (theimpression of colours). The colour has been examined, both as conscious and subconscious signal,and reasons for it?s influence have been exammed.The practical parts of the degree project have been carried out in active collaboration with thecustomer, The Association Hedemora Assistansservice (HASS), which offers handicapped persons astimulating spare time by personal assistance. We conducted 10 semi-structured interviews with first line managers in Swedish public healthcare organizations. A result is reached by a thematically constructed analysis were citations are presented and analyzed. Result & Conclusions: The study shows through the model that has been used that first line managers are highly affected by administrative tasks that can be linked to New Public Management. The participant managers see these related tasks as important for the organizations and natural in their profession. Contribution of the thesis: The study contributes with an increased understanding of the managing of first line managers and how it is affected by New Public Management related administration through a perspective that is lacking in previous research.
