Undersökningens syfte är att studera video som inslag på matematiklektioner genom att titta på elevers kunskapsutveckling, åsikter och lärares åsikter.En video om Pythagoras sats har producerats och visats i klassrummet och det har sedan gjorts diagnostiska prov i experiment- och en kontrollgrupper. Det har även gjorts en elevenkät och lärarintervju. Resultatet visade att eleverna var ganska positiva till video men att filmen inte hjälpte något märkbart. Lärarna ansåg det vara svårt att få in video i matematiken eftersom det går så fort. Slutsatsen är att video kan användas som tillsats till undervisningen ibland, men inte som ensam ersättning till annan undervisning..

This essay concerns the interpretation of house plans in three-aisled longhouses and hall-buildings, in Scandinavia during Iron Age. Full scale house reconstructions need a better basis of interpretations to understand the patterns of roof supporting post holes in excavated house plans. This has led to the thesis, presented here, that the layout of house plans during Iron Age is based on geometrical proportions. In order to prove this, geometric house plans were applied and compared with excavated house plans in 11different case studies, including the fortification of Fyrkat Denmark. It was found that all house plans in the case studies indicate, that the geometrical proportions 1:2, 1:3 and 2:3 of a given circle must have been used for the basic layout of the roof supporting post holes, using a compass and a straightedge.

The purpose of the case studies is to gain insight into their campuses advantages and disadvantages. This finally results in an interpretation of how the Blekinge Institute of Technology campus can be planned. A campus is the area of land on which a college or university and its surrounding buildings resides on. Campus as a concept meant a field at first, it later evolved at American universities due to their design of college campuses.

Many companies today are investing in various computer-based tools to support their planning, decision making or communication processes. However, end users are often reluctant to accept the available information systems, which mean that these investments are extremely risky. Understanding why users choose to accept or reject an information system has proved to be one of the most challenging problems in this research area. Previous studies have focused on users' beliefs and attitudes regarding use intentions, but the results have, however, been both mixed and incomplete. In this study, I have used the Swedish youth? s use intention of mobile banking and a quantitative study was performed based on five different hypotheses derived from previous studies.

I detta arbete undersöks identitetsskapande i en lärarledd skolkontext. Syftet är att undersöka och gestalta hur två pedagoger på en skola för grundskolans senare år säger sig arbeta med och förhålla sig till elevernas identitetsskapande under de aktiviteter som de leder. Undersökningen har gjorts genom kvalitativa intervjuer som berört pedagogernas uppfattning av hur de arbetar med och förhåller sig till identitetsskapande. Därefter har vi tolkat och gestaltat innehållet i intervjuerna i panoramabilder som animerats till film. Estetik, genus, elever i årskurs sju och styrdokument är tydligt återkommande teman i intervjuerna. Organic animal husbandry has received a lot of criticism lately. The aim of this literature review was to examine if the rules and principles of organic pig farming give better or worse welfare in comparison to the conventional systems in Sweden. Health, physiology and behaviour have been used as indicators of welfare in this study. This is due to the importance of using more than one indicator in welfare assessments. Studies have shown that organic pigs have more remarks on joints when slaughtered, but these remarks can be reduced by vaccination against erysipelas.

It has been shown in several studies that preoperative anxiety may cause adverse effects in the postoperative course. Nurse anesthetists have a key role in creating a safe environment and the opportunity to use different interventions to reduce the degree of anxiety.AimThe aim of the study was to examine which interventions may reduce anxiety in adult patients before and during both general, local and regional anesthesia.DesignSystematic literature review with a quantitative approach.ResultsSeveral studies indicate that gabapentin and pregabalin can reduce anxiety before and during anesthesia. The anxiety reducing effect appeared to be dose dependent. The naturopathic drugs Citrus aurantium blossom and Passiflora incarnata Linneaus were found to reduce anxiety before anesthesia.

Several bulls in Sweden are culled because of lameness. Studies of beef bulls have shown that osteochondrosis is an important underlying cause of hind limb problems (Persson, 2003; Dutra, 1998). Osteochondrosis in horses, dogs, swine, poultry and man are well documentated in the literature, but there are few studies in cattle. The prevalence of osteochondrosis in dairy bulls in Sweden is unknown. The aim of this study was to investigate the presence and localisation of osteochondrosis in the hindlimbs of dairy bulls. This study consists of 48 one-year-old bulls divided into four groups related to which farm they came from.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how students who study with Problem-based learning PBL in a distance learning course perceive the support from the university library. I first went into adult education, PBL and distance studies, one at a time, and then took a look at the combination of problem-based learning in distance studies. During the investigation, I conducted five interviews using a phenomenographic method to understand how the students perceived the support they received from the university library. The university library gives a lot of support but what I noticed while I was writing was that it is difficult to reach the students with the information regarding the help that is available to them. I give some example on how to develop the support and find that the students have a wide range of different needs for support from the library depending on their individual situation, social context, academic ability, location and course of study.

SammanfattningSyftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka relationen mellan historiska spelfilmer och historiemedvetandet. Vi fokuserar på hur ett antal lärare på högstadiet och gymnasiet förhåller sig i relationen mellan spelfilm och historiemedvetande i syfte att framställa en matris för undervisning med hjälp av film. För att göra detta har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer.Vi har alla ett historiemedvetande vilket innebär att vi kan förhålla oss till ?då-nu-framtid? och applicera tidsperspektivet på våra egna liv. Det samlade kulturarvet och de gemensamma såväl som individuella livserfarenheter blir en del av vårt historiemedvetande.

The purpose of this developmental research was to test the new way of working when the students were to take part in planning of cooking during the lessons in home and consumer studies, because the aim of the school is to teach the students to take the responsibility for their studies. The two first lessons should be used by students in the group to plan and organize their meal. During the third lesson the students must be responsible for cooking ready their meal and afterwards they must evaluate the results. The results of this new way of working was new for the students and they thought it was fun to be responsible for cooking during these lessons in home economics. The students in the groups were of wixed ability and they developed their knowledge from the levels of their ability.

Jag intresserar mig i stort för berättande av olika slag och vems berättande som får ta plats. En del berättelser omvärderar vår förståelse av världen, medan andra förstärker den förståelse och ordning som redan finns.
