Examensarbetet är utfört på Duroc Rail AB som bedriver sin verksamhet på Notvikens industriområde i Luleå. Duroc Rail underhåller tåghjul vilket innefattar tre renoveringsförfaranden: svarvning av stommar, revision av lagerboxar samt omstomning av hjul. Vidare finns det tre olika typer av lager, sfäriska lager, cylindriska lager samt TBU lager. Dessa tre lagertyper kräver i sin tur olika maskiner och tillvägagångssätt för att utföra revisionerna. Syftet med examensarbete var att förbättra verkstadslayouten med fokus på materialhanteringen.

Detta arbete har haft som mål att ta fram de kostnader som är knutna till logistik vid Holmen Paper AB, Wargöns bruk. Arbetet har även resulterat i ett antal förslag på åtgärder för att minska logistikkostnaderna och på så sätt skapa bättre konkurrensmöjligheter för Wargöns bruk. Arbetet har utförts genom litteraturstudier samt intervjuer med berörda personer inom Holmen Papers organisation.Kostnadsposterna som behandlas i detta arbete är lagerföringskostnader, lagerhållningskostnader, transportkostnader, administrativa kostnader samt övriga kostnader. I samtliga fall har en ingående analys gjorts för att ta fram vilka kostnader som skall ingå i de olika posterna. Kostnaderna har sedan satts i relation till det försäljningpris som Holmen Paper AB, Wargöns bruk hade år 2003 på sina produkter i form av rullar och ark.Holmen Paper AB, Wargöns bruks totala logistikkostnad för år 2003 var 108,7 miljoner kronor, motsvarande 15,7 % av omsättningen.

I tillverkningsindustrin har driftstopp ansetts som en stor inverkansfaktor på produktionens prestation. Driftstopp hindrar produktionen från att utnyttja sin fulla kapacitet. Ett sätt att öka den operativa tiden i en monteringslinje är att identifiera orsakerna till driftstopp och därefter eliminera eller reducera dessa. Nära noll driftstoppstid är det ultimata målet för producerande företag.Syftet med examensarbetet är att bidra till kunskapen om hur driftstoppsorsaker kan identifieras och reduceras i monteringslinjer.För att kunna besvara syftet har två frågeställningar formulerats.1. Vilka möjliga orsaker finns det till att driftstopp uppstår i monteringslinjer? 2. Vilka åtgärder kan tillämpas i monteringslinjer för att reducera driftstopp?Examensarbetet har genom intervjuer, observationer, litteraturstudier, dokument och en egenutformad felrapport insamlat data för att finna svar på frågeställningarna.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att studera vad som skiljde de tre norrbottniska tidningarna Norrbottens-Kuriren (NK), Norrländska Socialdemokraten (NSD) och Norrskensflamman (Flamman) åt i rapporteringen gällande den så kallade Enbomprocessen under år 1952, och hur de olika tidningarnas politiska inriktning påverkade rapporteringen. Uppsatsen har avgränsats till dessa tre tidningar hemmahörande i Norrbotten då Norrbottens län var hemvist till den spionanklagade Fritiof Enbom och hans medanklagade. Även Norrbottens geografiska läge är intressant. Närheten till Finland, som i allra högsta grad var offer för Sovjetunionens expansion under det Kalla kriget, reflekteras i den dåtida politiska situationen i Norrbotten då detta län var det överlägset kommunisttätaste i Sverige. Fokus i tidshänseende ligger på februari 1952 då Fritiof Enbom greps och augusti månad samma år, då domarna i målet förkunnades.

Vid akut insjuknande eller skada upplever människor starka känslor och trots försök att bemästra situationen behöver de akut hjälp. Syftet med denna intervjustudie var att beskriva upplevelser som patienterna i glesbygd gjort under tiden när de insjuknat akut eller skadat sig och använt sig av landsvägsburen ambulanssjukvård. I studien deltog 14 personer från en kommun i norra Sverige som varit i behov av och nyttjat ambulanssjukvård. Intervjuerna spelades in på band och skrevs sedan ordagrant ut till text. För att analysera intervjutexterna användes kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Det finns två miljöer som kontrasterar i Ronja Rövardotter. Borgen och skogen. Borgen kan stå för kulturen och tryggheten, medan skogen står för friheten men också det farliga. Skogen blir också en fostrare som lär Ronja om livet och om sig själv, sina egna rädslor och förmågor. Det är också i skogen Ronja lär sig medkänsla och medmänsklighet.
