Grundtanken i deliberativ demokrati är att politiska beslut skall grundas på en fri och förnuftig deliberation mellan fria och jämlika medborgare. Målet med denna deliberation är att nå en rationell konsensus, och kräver att deltagarna sätter sina personliga intressen, värderingar och perspektiv åt sidan, samt fokuserar på det allmänna bästa. I denna uppsats presenterar jag teorin bakom, och framför kritik mot den nuvarande utformningen av deliberativ demokrati. Denna kritik går huvudsakligen ut på att deliberativ demokrati inte fullt respekterar samhällets pluralism, eftersom den antar orimliga normer förhur politisk kommunikation får bedrivas, och därmed riskerar att marginalisera vissa människor. Jag diskuterar också hur en alternativ demokratimodell, som bevarar grundtanken i deliberativ demokrati, skulle kunna vara utformad..

Lagen om besöksförbud infördes 1988 för att förbättra skyddet för personer som förföljs och trakasseras. Den har under åren genomgått flera reformer och utvidgats genom bland annat två nya typer av besöksförbud: Särskilt utvidgat besöksförbud och besöksförbud avseende gemensam bostad. Antalet ansökningar om besöksförbud fortsätter att öka och år 2006 översteg ansökningarna 10 000 medan antalet beviljade ansökningar sjunker något. De förväntningar som lagen om besöksförbud gett hos många ställer höga krav på polisen och rättsväsendet när det gäller att följa upp besöksförbudet och se till att det efterlevs. Lagen har dock ofta varit omdebatterad som ett uddlöst verktyg som endast ger de som ska skyddas falsk trygghet samtidigt som rättsväsendets arbete med besöksförbuden och dess uppföljning fått kritik.

Syftet med denna studie är att se huruvida en verksamhets skolkoder uppfattas och påverkar lärare-elevrelationen. Utifrån ett sociopsykologiskt/kulturellt perspektiv så undersöks lärare och elevers relation utifrån kontextuella ramar. Studien har sitt avstamp i argumentationer för hur relationen mellan lärare och elev i dagens klassrum är av stor vikt i främjandet av personlig utveckling. Lärare och elevers relationsbygge är en dynamisk process som ständigt testas i det direkta mötet. Det handlar om hur överenskomna regler skapas genom sociala band mellan olika individer och hur man förhåller sig till den andre och kollektivet utifrån dessa regler.

The main purpose of this essay is to investigate professional artists experience of the need and use of information in their creative work. I have collected the material through qualitative interviews with four professional artist working with different materials and techniques. One of the results of the study is that the artists first of all used information as a source of inspiration in their creative work. They gathered their information from various scources, for example; pictures, exhibitions, visual arts, books and novells, depending on what project they are working with. Other important information scources were colleges, especially for the technical information need.

Vid ett oplanerat generationsskifte när arvingen är omyndig är risken stor att den reella beslutande makten tillfaller en oönskad person. Anledningen till detta är den betydande förmyndarförvaltning en efterlevande förmyndare kan utöva över tillgångar den omyndige fått via legalt arv/testamente eller gåva. De möjligheter som ett borttestamenterande av förvaltningsrätten ger, kan tyvärr ge en falsk känsla av trygghet för testator. I flertalet av fallen finns möjlighet för den efterlevande förmyndaren att utnyttja laglottsmöjligheten föra att tillskansa sig beslutande makt över företaget och på så sätt motverka testators vilja. Trots att lagstiftaren på olika sätt försökt att trygga den omyndiges situation genom regler för hur förmyndare och överförmyndare skall handla anser jag dessa regler vara otillräckliga.

De sista 90 åren har omkring 35 poliser dödats i tjänsten i Sverige, varav 2 stycken de sista åren. De flesta av dessa har skjutits ihjäl, 2006 beslagtog polisen 1243 vapen. Från år2000-2006 var 7344 poliser borta från jobbet en dag eller mer p.g.a. våld eller hot om våld. Detta har i sin tur gett ett intresse för hur poliser från utryckningsenheten och elever från polisutbildningen ser på ett av det materiella skydd som ska skydda dem från en del av detta nämligen polisens skyddsväst.

Shorter hospital stays increases the need for well functioning post hospital aftercare. Persons close to the patient are often involved in the aftercare and need information about self-care. This need is frequently not satisfied. The aim of this study was to investigate if the next-of-kin of patients cared for at the thoracic clinic at Uppsala University hospital, have received information about self-care and how they perceive the information they have been given. METHOD: To investigate this, questionnaires were sent out by mail.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine the information needs of reporters at a Swedish daily newspaper, and see if they are met by the information resources provided by the newspaper. It examines if there are resources which are not used and why. The examination is based on Henczel?s model for information auditing.

This thesis treats the information the insurance company is going to give the policyholders just before the insurance is to be concluded and soon thereafter. The purposes that have been mentioned is for both the information to consumers and companies.The conclusion that can be made after the analysis is that the information is of great importance for the policyholder, both for consumers and companies.

The aim with this study was to examine which information sources are used by the librarians in the process of changing automated library system and why. Furthermore it was of interest to examine whether there are any correlations between variables environment, information quality, information availability, information need and information sources. I used a quantitative method that was carried out in form of a nationwide survey. Questionnaires were sent out to all the Swedish libraries that had change library systems sometime between the years 2000.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore how the internal information processing and management is carried out within a unit of Viskafors municipality. Furthermore, to explore and make recommendations of how the organisation can improve its internal information management. To get a full picture I have interviewed people at different levels of the organisation. The main findings showed that there was a dysfunction in the internal information processing and management. For example the study showed that the internal information did not reach out to the different parts of the organisation due to insufficient information processing.

Companies have in the past decades changed fromtraditional manufacturing organizations into serviceorganizations. For these service organizationsinformation and competence have become animportant resource. The traditional view oninformation is that an employee use and search forinformation to reduce uncertainty for their decisionmaking. Even though information is strategicallyimportant for organizations, information is not valuedin any way. Hence, this thesis aims to valueinformation in terms of the utility it brings to theorganization.The conclusion is that four factors are important whenvaluing information in terms of utility.

Renkavle har under lång tid varit ett stort problem för lantbrukare i stora delar av norra Europa och har etablerat sig på större arealer även i Sverige. Genom sin bio-logi är renkavle mycket väl anpassad till odling av höstsådd spannmål, speciellt i kombination med reducerad jordbearbetning. Det finns en ökande trend av både höstsådd spannmål och reducerad jordbearbetning som talar för att problemen med renkavle kommer att öka framöver. Även den pågående klimatförändringen mot ett varmare klimat i Sverige förbättrar förutsättningarna för att renkavle ska etablera sig längre norrut. Renkavle är ett ogräs som kräver en mycket hög grad av kontroll för att inte öka kommande år eftersom fröproduktionen hos renkavle kan vara mycket stor.

The purpose of this Master?s Thesis is to examine the information use and information behavior of the scientists at the company ?Forskningsbolaget?. For this purpose an Information Audit was carried out using both interviews with six managers and a questionnaire, which was sent out to the entire population of 213 scientists. After finding out what information the scientists use and how they obtain it the aim was to answer the question of to what extent the company?s Information Centre can meet these needs.
