The following thesis is examining compliance with EU-law from a member state perspective. The variation in the compliance level between the member states from 1995 to 2005 is analyzed to prove the fact that the Nordic member countries during the measured time period experienced a low number of infringements. The infringements that did occur were resolved faster and more efficient in the Nordic countries then in the other member states. The theory used to explain the Nordic compliance rate is divided between external and internal pressure in a pull and push model. The external pressure is illustrated with argumentative persuasion from the EU-commission to the individual member states; how the state responds to the persuasion in order to act compliant.

Women are subordinate of men in the society, this is visible both in work places and private lives. Equality between the sexes is daily discussed in politics and the private sphere. As this is a hot topic which is debated within many areas, one of those is film production, we chose to write this essay about how the view of women has changed in movies over time. If equality doesn?t exist within the film media, then it will be hard to change the society?s point of view.

This essay is about the tactical basic principles as they are mentioned in the Swedish Doctrine for land based operations (2005) and the German side during the battle of Verdun 1916. The purpose of this essay is to clarify whether the used doctrine is appropriate to use on future attrition battles.        This is done by a case study of the German side during the battle ofVerdun. In this case study indicators of the basic principles are then identified and analysed with the starting point at the two questions that the essay is based around. The essay starts with an introduction where above is attended, in the second part the basic principles, the background to the battle and the battle itself is described. Finally the tactical basic principles are analysed and discussed based on the questions that the essay is based on.In the analysis and the discussion the conclusion is drawn that the tactical basic principles were present on the German side during the battle of Verdun and that they are of a general character and may be applied on both attrition warfare of 1916 and modern battles of attrition..

Studiens syfte har varit att undersöka hur kommunicerade värderingar hos ett företag påverkas av en avreglering. Uppsatsen undersöker hur Apoteket ABs kommunicerade värderingar i årsredovisningar har förändrats efter avregleringen och om dessa ligger i linje med grundmålen för avregleringens syfte. Det teoretiska avsnittet behandlar värderingar, kommunicerade värderingar, kommunikation, värderingar sammantaget med avregleringar samt apoteksmarknadens avreglering. Studien baseras på en innehållsanalys av Apoteket ABs årsredovisningar där blocken 2005-2008 samt 2010-2013 noga studerats och jämförts med varandra. I årsredovisningarna har antal textstycken kvantifierats efter sex utvalda värdeord från regeringens mål med avregleringen.

The purpose of this thesis is to test whether firms have target capital structure, and if so with what speed they adjust toward this target. Findings that support this purpose are also in line with the trade off theory. One of the key elements of this thesis is the method used, which successfully enables fulfilling the purpose. The panel data method captures the data characteristics of the cross sectional and time series dimension. By using this approach the dynamic effects of capital structure can be studied, thus if there actually is an adjustment towards a target the speed can be estimated.

Syftet med denna rapport var att undersöka vilka hinder som fanns då en skola skulle försöka integrera tjugotalet elever i olika åldrar som inte talar svenska i sin undervisning. Forskningen på detta område är sparsam även om Franzén (2001), Wikström (1996) samt Skolverket i sina rapporter (2003, 2005) presenterat teorier om hur vägen in i den svenska skolan ser ut. Fyra perspektiv antogs och styrdokument, skolledning, lärare och en elev användes på olika sätt för att informera om den pågående integrationsprocessen. Intervjuer och observationer av skolledning, lärare och elev pågick under fyra veckor i oktober år 2006. Det visade sig att svårigheterna för eleverna att få en fullgod undervisning, dvs.

The purpose of this study was to highlight LGBT asylum-seekers experiences of expressing their sexual identity or gender identity in the country of origin and in the asylum process in Sweden. By interviewing people who got permanent residence in Sweden because of gender or sexual orientation in Utlänningslagen (2005:716) we have been able to explore their own experiences from expressing themselves. This study analyse these experiences from a social psychological perspective, from this analysis we aimed to obtain a deeper understanding of how the experiences from the country of origin affects on the experiences in the asylum process. This study shows that LGBT asylum-seekers often is facing negative reactions from the environment in the country of origin, these reactions can limit their possibilities to express their sexual identity or gender identity in the asylum process in Sweden. The negative reactions they experience in the country of origin have contributed to that many LGBT people internalize feelings of fear to express themselves, feelings that often stays when they come to Sweden to seek asylum.

Books and reading are important elements in cultural policy. On 1 January 2002 VAT on books and magazines was reduced from 25 per cent to 6 per cent. The purpose was to increase reading in all sections of the population. A special Book Price Commission was appointed to follow and examine price trends and to work for an enhancement of reading in all groups of the Swedish population. But what form of reading are the BPC talking about? With a theoretical point of departure in the theory of power and discourse by Michel Foucault the aim of this thesis is to explore if there is an existing discourse about reading and, if so, how this discourse is operating in the BPC reports.

Concentration problems have been discussed from a variety of angles and have been problemized in different ways. One approach is to place the major part of the problem on the child independent of its environment. The terms used as an explanatory model are ?attention disorder, impulsiveness, difficulty at finding suitable activity levels, difficulty in understanding rules and instructions? (Kadesjö 2007). Others place the root of the problem in the environment prevalent at pre-school and school.

Goodwill accounting has for a long time been, and with the implementation of IFRS in 2005, has become an even bigger issue. Critics mean that reporting of goodwill impairments is subject to discretion that can be used by the managers. We have applied a study made by Carlin and Finch (2009) on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm during 2006-2012. Our study contains 50 of the 255 public companies at 2012-12-31. The purpose of the study is to investigate if companies use an opportunistic discount rate when testing for impairment in goodwill and if the relation between goodwill and net profit before taxes, goodwill intensity, is an incentive for opportunism.

AbstractAim: The aim of the study is to analyze ten different columns written by Linda Skugge, in order to see what kind of rhetorical means she uses to get her message across. It is also to examine if, and to what extent, these means are of female nature, and to see what kind of persona Skugge uses in order to be trustworthy.Method: Rhetorical analysis of ten columns written by Linda SkuggeMain results: The study has shown that Skugge´s rhetorical strategies differ from the ones recommended in theories about female speech. Skugge writes with a lot of character and emotionally based arguments, which, according to the theories, is more of a male way of speaking. Under det senaste decenniet har en förändring skett i formerna för samhällsstyrning, vilket ofta beskrivs som en övergång från government till governance (Hill, 2007: 18-20). De governancebetonade styrprocesserna vilar på andra demokratiideal än det traditionella representativa, nämligen det deliberativa ? vilket i praktiken innebär såväl begränsningar som möjligheter för demokratin. Ett brett deltagande, närhet till medborgarna och effektivitet tycks vara de nya ledorden för statlig styrning (Ostrom, 1994; Carlsson & Berkes, 2005; Píriz, 2005), samtidigt som forskare befarar att andra demokratiska kärnvärden såsom ansvarsutkrävande och politisk jämlikhet riskerar att hamna i skymundan (March & Olsen, 1989: kap 7). Hur övergången till nya styrformer påverkar demokratin, ur en legitimitetsaspekt, är en aktuell fråga i Sverige då governancepräglade styrprocesser såsom samförvaltning blivit ett vanligt inslag i den svenska förvaltningsmodellen.

Detta är resultatet av en studie som har utförts vid motorprovningen på Volvo Aero Corporation i Trollhättan. Motorprovningen provar flygplansmotorer, komponenter till dessa och rymddetaljer samt utför underhåll och utveckling av Volvo Aeros testceller, TC. Till dessa testceller kommer ett antal olika motormodeller för prov snarast möjligt.Motorprovningen står nu inför vissa större beslut om att eventuellt lägga ner en av testcellerna och överföra dess motorer till en annan testcell. Motorprovningen har idag inget verktyg för att mäta hur stor kapacitet de olika testcellerna har, och om denna nerläggning då är möjlig. Huvudsyftet i denna studie är identifiera de variabler som påverkar tiden för att genomföra ett motorprov och med hänsyn till dessa variabler bygga en beläggningsmodell.

Sedan den 1 januari 2005 ska alla noterade svenska företag följa de internationella redovisningsstandarderna IFRS/IAS i sin koncernredovisning. En bransch som har påverkats av detta är byggbranschen som i sin redovisning av entreprenader ska använda sig av metoden successiv vinstavräkning. När denna metod används beräknas intäkterna utifrån entreprenadens färdigställandegrad. Vid fastställandet av färdigställandegraden rekommenderas och används en beräkning utifrån produktionskostnader. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om det finns andra beräkningsmetoder som ger ett mer rättvisande resultat utifrån redovisningens kvalitativa egenskaper och grundläggande principer.

I denna uppsats utreder jag hur inställningen var till ett förbud mot slöja i de svenska skolorna. Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka vilka tankar och inställningar som framkom i Sverige bland skolledningar, politiker och ungdomar med utländskbakgrund under åren 2003 till 2005. Uppsatsen syftar även till att se till vilka eventuella skillnader som finns mellan Sverige och Frankrike, där debatten om slöjan startade redan under slutet av 1980 talet och där man sedan 2004 genom lag har förbjudit slöja i de statliga skolorna.Uppsatsen bygger på en hermeneutisk metod och med hjälp av politiska dokument, debattartiklar och forskning om ungdomarnas inställningar till slöjan i de svenska skolorna, har jag genom min textanalys och tolkning nått mitt syfte. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att inställningen för ett förbud mot slöja i skolorna var väldigt svagt i Sverige. Individens frihet betonades mycket, men elevernas situation kom ändå under tidsperioden att ändras genom en ny diskrimineringslag..
