The mobile jukebox is an idea for a new kind of smartphone application that would allow users to dictate the music playing at various establishments. The mobile nature of the innovation allows for the possibility of a more ubiquitous service. Conducting a quantitative as well a qualitative study, the authors have found significant interest in this innovation service among potential users and potential distributors of the service. Furthermore, it is shown what aspects are important for decision makers to make a decision on whether to integrate the service into the operation of potential distributors of the service.  .

Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att identifiera de verktyg som ett svenskt industriföretag kan använda sig av inom konceptet Lean. Rapporten ska även ge en beskrivande bild av hur ett svenskt företag kan utveckla de olika verktygen för att anpassa dem i sin verksamhet. På grund av allt mer ökad konkurrens i läkemedelsbranschen har Sweden Operation valt att implementera Lean i sin verksamhet. Detta väljer de att för att skapa en effektiv produktion med minskade resurser och ökad kvalitet. Metod: Uppsatsen bygger på en deduktiv ansats där individuella intervjuer har genomförts dels med de medarbetare som arbetar dagligen med konceptet dels med de som sedan konceptets införande på olika nivåer i organisation har varit involverade i implementeringen av Lean. Resultat & slutsats: Fabriken som vi studerade i uppsatsen har förändrat sin organisation genom att tillämpa Lean. Ledningen hade tagit grundkonceptet och anpassat de delar man ansett värdefulla för sin organisation.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to evaluate bookmobile service as a decentralised library service. I have made a qualitative interview survey, with seven Swedish municipalities participating, all providing bookmobile service in their rural parts. The purpose with the interviews is to examine their bookmobile service. I have also studied articles on bookmobile service, and decentralisation through small library units in library journals, to get an insight into how the work with decentralised library service is done in Swedish municipalities. In this thesis answer is sought to the following questions: - Which decentralised library services are suitable for inhabitants and institutions in sparsely populated areas, considering factors such as number of inhabitants, proportion of old people and children, demographic changes, economy, possibilities to cooperate with other municipalities? - What is the current bookmobile service situation in Sweden, taking seven municipalities in the region of Småland as a starting point? My conclusions are that each municipality must decide which decentralised library services that best suites their needs.

Konkurrensen bland företag i dagens samhälle har ökat på grund av den ständigt växande marknaden och dess globala räckvidd. Företaget Toyota är känt för att ha utvecklat konceptet lean inom produktionssektorn. Under det senaste decenniet har även tjänstesektorn börjat tillämpa lean. Lean är ett diffust begrepp som kan tolkas olika eftersom konceptet kan uppfattas som ett arbetssätt, en metod eller också som en filosofi och kultur. Grundtanken bakom lean är att minska slöseri och öka kundnöjdheten.

Nowdays an efficient production is critical to achieve for companies competing on the market for steel cutting tools. One of such companies is Halmstad based Tooling Support Halmstad AB that manufactures threading-taps, threading-dies and parting off tools, towards a centralized warehouse in Schiedam, Holland. The large amount of different products, approximately 2500 is a big contributor to the problem along with a new order system that creates a demand of low setup times. Previously the company was forwarded orders through quarter based prognoses which enabled planning of the production over a longer time span. Currently the newer order system ZENIT is in use and the company thereby gets their orders weekly.

Den ökade konkurrensen som skapats under det senaste århundradet har gett upphov till att företag försöker finna vägar för att stärka och bibehålla sin ställning på marknaden. Lean har med åren blivit ett framgångsrikt ledningssystem som spridit sig från Japan och bilindustrin till övriga världen och till andra sektorer. Implementeringsmöjligheterna har diskuterats och analyserats i ett flertal artiklar som beaktar implementeringsprocessen och dess problematik. Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka skillnader och likheter i framgångsfaktorer vid en Lean-implementering, som identifierats i teorin, inom ett detaljhandelsföretag i en svensk kontext. Omfattningen har begränsats för att få en fördjupad förståelse för problematiken kring implementering, därmed saknar studien generaliserbarhet. Studien är utformad som en kvalitativ fallstudie och empirin har inhämtats med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer.

I en global marknad blir det allt mer viktigt fo?r svenska industrier att effektivisera sina produktionsprocesser genom sta?ndiga fo?rba?ttringar och en offensiv kvalitetsutveckling. Shiloh Industries i Olofstro?m vill o?ka sin konkurrenskraft genom att fullt ut implementera filosofin Lean Production i sin verksamhet och i enlighet med detta ska en helt ny produktionslayout tas fram. Studien syftar till att finna aspekter fo?r beaktning vid utformning av en produktionslayout som finner sto?d i Lean Production.

Examensarbetet har utförts på Sandvik Coromant i Gimo, GH. Produktionsenheten tillverkar hårdmetallskär för borrning, svarvning och fräsning. Arbetet syftar till att undersöka metoder för att minska material i arbete samt förkorta ledtiderna på enheten. För att uppnå en resurssnålare produktion undersöks möjligheterna för Lean Production och andra arbetssätt som anses ge förbättringar av flödet. Som grund till arbetet ligger intervjuer av personal på enheten i Gimo, litteraturstudier samt ett besök på ett företag inom Sandvik koncernen som lyckats med att minska material i arbete samt förkortat sina ledtider.

Allt eftersom världen blir mer globaliserad ökar konkurrensen på marknaden. Detta sätterpress på företag vilket leder till stora behov av effektivisering. Företaget Toyota har verkatframgångsrikt på marknaden, detta har medfört att deras verksamhetsstrategi fått storuppmärksamhet. På grund av dess resurssnåla och effektiva tillvägagångssätt kom dennaverksamhetsstrategi att kallas Lean. Lean berör alla delar i en verksamhet, en del företagbörjar endast tillämpa Lean-produktion.

The objective of this thesis is to map the resources and methods used at the department OPPC, at AstraZeneca, and derived from that give suggestions on possible solutions that will increase their productivity.Mapping of the product flow, as well as gathering of process data, has mainly been done using observations, but consultation with the process technicians has also played a great role. Further have theoretical methods been used, based on literature studies, within the areas of Lean production and statistics.The work has incrementally gone forward since the steps taken has been restricted by the irregularity of production which led to the need of creating a fictive production flow. This has affected the lead-time calculations in the way that they are meant to give an indication, rather than an absolute truth, on how different methods described shall be used.The current state analysis showed multiple areas of improvement when defining capacity as value adding time in relation to total throughput time. Using the "standard scenario" as a basis showed that the actual production flow only constituted 50% of the total project time. Further it showed that the workflow contained more non-value adding activities than value adding activities, which is a result of how the work is distributed within the department as well as in the different projects.

The aim of this report is to increase the knowledge and understanding of the problems within the production at AQ Enclosure systems, and thereby achieve a more stable flow throughout the whole process, a better working environment and better competition advantages. The internal flow along with the external cooperation is very important for the company, because it views flexibility and short leadtime as it is the most important competitive means. The part of AQ production that?s been investigated is the manufacturing of ATM-machines, where the costumer is Banqit. This company is a rater small company with about 4 % of the world market of ATM-machines.In order to achieve the aim of the report extensive interviews have been carried out with employees at AQ.

Sjukvården har stora krav på förbättrings- och effektiviseringsarbete. På många sjukhus ilandet implementeras lean som ett sätt att uppnå dessa mål. Här liksom i allt förändringsarbeteär det viktigt att följa upp och utvärdera resultatet.Syfte:Att undersöka om vårdtiden förändrats för patienter som genomgått hjärtkirurgi(kranskärls- eller hjärtklaffskirurgi) samt om de upplever någon skillnad påutskrivningsinformation och uppföljning efter hemkomst, efter att lean införts.Metod:Deskriptiv tvärsnittsstudie. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 60 patienter opereradeföre (n=30) och efter (n=30) att leanmodellen implementerats. Svarsfrekvensen var 95 %.Resultat:Ingen skillnad har påvisats i vårdtid före och efter leaninförandet.

Lean Production är ett koncept som finns, i mer eller mindre utsträckning, i många företag idag. Konceptet bygger på ett antal principer bestående bland annat av standardiserade arbetsprocesser som syftar till att minska allt slöseri som inte tillför något värde för kunden. Att implementera konceptet i en verksamhet innebär en planerad organisationsförändring och kräver för ett lyckat resultat ett ledarskap som kan motivera de anställda. När ledarskap diskuteras i samband med organisationsförändringar, talas det ofta om transformativt- och transaktionellt ledarskap. Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva samt analysera vilka aspekter av ledarskap som är speciellt framträdande under olika implementeringsfaser av Lean Production. För att besvara detta, samlades empiri in genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer på fyra företag, verksamma inom tillverkningsindustrin i Sverige.

The thesis explores an ongoing dialectical process between different levels of employees including top management to workers of Scandinavian Airline Service (SAS) regarding a new change program and to find out the possible social construction among them. In particular, it searches for the constructed reality of SAS ground service employees at Malmö Airport with regard to the preparatory stage of SAS Strategy 2011. A possible ambiguity in dialectical process is explored as it relates to an organization?s ability to effectively influence the understanding and identity of its employees through discourse.

Detta examensarbete har utförts i samarbete med Löfqvist Engineering i Örebro. Uppgiften har varit att utföra en simulering av en stor automatiserad produktionslina som ska användas vid tillverkning av avgassystem till lastbilar. Utifrån denna simulering skall exakta cykeltider för produktionen bestämmas. Dessa tider kan sedan användas av Löfqvist Engineering för att verifiera tidigare uppskattade tider.Arbetet inkluderar en litteraturstudie om Lean Production och hur det fungerar ihop med automation. Det finns även med lite bakgrundsinformation om Just In Time, olika filformat och robotsimulering i allmänhet för att ge en bättre överblick av ämnet.Programmet som har valts för att utföra simuleringen är Tecnomatix Process Simulate och den inbyggda Line Simulation modulen.
