Alla börsnoterade företag inom den Europeiska Unionen måste sedan år 2005 följa den gemensamma redovisningsstandarden IFRS vid upprättande av företagets finansiella rapporter. Problem uppstår om dessa företag följer reglerna i IFRS i olika grad vilket innebär att den finansiella informationen som lämnas inte är fullständig. För en investerare innebär detta att det kan vara svårt att kontrollera hur beräkningar och bedömningar utförts om inte all information som ska finnas med är inkluderad. Tidigare studier visar att det finns en skillnad i hur mycket information som generellt lämnas i upplysningar i noterna till de finansiella rapporterna mellan länder, och att skiljaktigheten beror på bland annat kulturella skillnader. Tidigare forskning har endast undersökt upplysningar i stort och ej fokuserat på specifika områden som är svårtolkade i IFRS.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att kartlägga huruvida upplysningskraven i IAS 36 p 134 uppfylldes i koncernernas årsredovisningar på Large Cap-listan. Om vi fann att upplysningskraven inte efterlevdes, hade vi för avsikt att utreda i vilken utsträckning och varför. Vi bestämde oss för att göra två undersökningar och valde att använda oss av både den kvalitativa samt den kvantitativa metoden. Deduktiv ansats var grunden i vår uppsats och vi valde att utnyttja den kvalitativa forskningen för att förtydliga de resultat vi erhöll genom den kvantitativa forskningen. I litteraturgenomgången gick vi igenom regleringen av redovisningen.

Couch grass (Elymus repens (L.) Gould) is a severe weed in Sweden, and since both the use of herbicides and cultivation should be decreased, it will become increasingly problematic to control couch. The present work is meant to, by literature studies and an experiment, give some answers to the question if cutting and competition can depress the growth of couch. The experiment was carried out in the growing season 2001 at Ultuna, Uppsala, in plastic boxes. The design was three-factorial randomised complete blocks. The factors were plant combination, nitrogen level and cutting strategy.

Problem. Sponsorship has increased continuously during the 21st century, however, at the same time the public interest of traditional promotion has been diminishing. The meaning of sponsorship is a very diffuse and therefore the concept needs to be investigated. Due to the multitude of sponsorship and its impreciseness about its financial value, it is difficult to evaluate sponsorship for companies, especially when there is a difficulty in choosing a decent method for evaluation.Purpose. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the concept of sponsorship, motives for sponsorship and evaluation of sponsorship according to the theory and give empirical examples of how these areas are being managed by companies.Method.

Background: The world of sports possesses a lot of knowledge when it comes to leadarship and coaching. Coaching as a term is relatively new to the business industry and something that is up and coming among alot of companies. Leadership and coaching are two terms that can be combined with each other both in sports and in the business industry.Objectives: This study aims to compare leadership in sports and in the business industry. The purpose is to see if they can learn from each other and how they define the term leadership.Method: Interviews were chosen as a method in this study. Six individual interviews were performed and there were three leaders from the business industry and three leaders from the world of sport participating in the study.

Stockholm has in recent years experienced a strong population increase but despite that fact, the demand for housing has not been followed by enough housing contracts. According to forecasts, growth in population will further be continued upward. With more condominiums than rental units on the market, new apartments are too expensive to live in. This creates unsustainable problems for those in lower classes of society. Creating a housing market in the periphery of Stockholm is not sustainable from a social perspective.

Uppsatsen syftar till att beskriva och analysera utformningen av nyckeltalsredovisning i svenska publika företag, främst med utgångspunkt i sektorstillhörighet samt utveckling över tid. Uppsatsen består av tre delundersökningar som syftar till att kartlägga, upptäcka eventuella trender samt gå djupare in på företag som skiljer sig från mängden. Empirin har samlats in med hjälp av en inventeringslista, en trendlista och slutligen två telefonintervjuer. Nyckeltalsredovisningen är förhållandevis enhetlig även om vissa företag och branscher uppvisar vissa avvikelser. Slutsatsen är den att företag på A-listan presenterar i genomsnitt ca 26,5 nyckeltal.

The purpose of this thesis was to illustrate the connection between personal networks and entrepreneurial business in the music industry. It also aims to examine how and why entrepreneurs in the music industry use personal networks in their entrepreneurial business activities. In order to explore the extent to which entrepreneurs in the music industry obtain support through personal networks, a case study was conducted based on interviews with entrepreneurs in various areas of the music industry. The study has shown that entrepreneurs in the music industry clearly see distinct advantages through the use of their personal networks, especially in terms of an enhanced supply of resources and through an increased amount of business opportunities. Personal networks have also shown to constitute a considerable amount of moral support for the entrepreneurs in the development process of the entrepreneurial business.

Det kan finnas flera orsaker till krisen som den globala finansmarknaden upplever idag. Orsaker som nämnts är bristfällig riskhantering och alltför komplexa finansiella instrument. Vissa anser att redovisningen spelar en betydande roll i finanskrisen. De menar att det saknas transparens i redovisningen, vilket bland annat gör att det inte går att utläsa vilken risk ett företag är exponerat för. Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka huruvida det finns ett samband mellan redovisning och den aktuella finanskrisen.

This thesis investigates how energy is used in three public baths today and suggests measures that could reduce the energy demand. The results show that there is a great poteltial for energy savings i public baths, and that it would be interesting to examine some of the proposed measures further..

Earnings management är ett fenomen som enligt studier har ökat i omfattning under senare tid tack vare förändringar av redovisningsprinciper. Detta har gett företag möjligheten att med ökad subjektivitet bedöma värdet på sina tillgångar, vilket kan utnyttjas för att manipulera redovisning och justera resultat i önskad riktning.Den här studien syftar primärt till att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan variablerna earnings management och pressade resultat bland de noterade bolagen på Nasdaq OMX Stockholm, även kallad ?Stockholmsbörsen?. Det sekundära syftet är att undersöka om detta eventuella samband är vanligare förekommande bland mindre företag samt om någon bransch är överrepresenterad. En kvantitativ metod har använts där data från bolagens årsredovisningar har hämtats och sedan granskats.

Learning organizations and organizational development are interesting subjects that does not examine municipal organizations and private organizations an equal amount.  Furthermore, there exists little research on the effects of competence development for individuals in a leadership role within organizations. Because of this, we wanted to examine the impact of competence development in business modeling and how it affected local government activities. Competence development is used by organizations to develop their business and achieve a greater competitive advantage, but does competence development for individuals in a leadership role lead to organizational development? This paper examines competence development in the form of a business modeling course via the Bitstreamproject and the effects that occur within three municipalities as a result of the competence development. By interviewing three participants and four coworkers within different municipalities and studied the data from the Bitstream project, we can not conclude that competence development within business modeling leads to organizational development, only that it exists a tendency for it.

The role of small businesses is fundamentally important for the economic development in countries. Within this context, business incubation is used as an entrepreneurship development instrument to promote and support new firms in the early stage of their existence. However, research in the field tends to disregard the perspectives of incubatee entrepreneurs. The performed investigation is based on interviews with entrepreneurs from two different business incubators at Swedish universities. This study uses a Situated Learning Theory (SLT) as a theoretical framework, to examine the entrepreneur's experience of the learning environment in a business incubator.

The purpose of this paper is to fill the gaps in current research on trade shows. The business-to-consumer aspect has been greatly ignored by academic theorists. We are aiming to make an exploratory study into during-show promotion practices. We will also create a continuation of the Hansen (1999) framework. In order to analyze "during-show promotion" two business-to-consumer trade shows; the ITB in Berlin and EuroHorse in Göteborg were visited.
