Denna uppsats har undersökt genus- och jämställdhetsfrågorna på lärarutbildningarna i Sverige med betoning på Lärarhögskolan i Stockholm och Södertörns högskola. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om lärarutbildningarna är utformade så att könsrollerna reproduceras och befästs, eller om lärarutbildningarna är aktiva aktörer som försöker bryta de snäva roller som könen är hänvisade till idag. Syftet är också att diskutera vilka konsekvenser lärarutbildningen och dess hantering av genus- och jämställdhetsfrågor kan bli på grundskolan.Metoden är kvalitativ och materialet baseras mycket på sekundära källor bortsett från två intervjuer. Resultatet visade att lärarutbildares uppfattningar styr innehållet och arbetssättet mer än utbildningsplaner och kursplaner. Både på lärarutbildningarna, men också på grundskolan, är det enskilda eldsjälar som undervisar i dessa frågor.

Why participate? Many studies focus on explaning non-participation in politics. The political parties are loosing members and the particiaption of young people are given extra attention. This thesis is about young people who do participate in party politics. The question is how they experience their participation and how they feel that they can have a politcal influence by being a member of the youth section of a political party.

Studiens syfte var att få en inblick i vad pedagoger anser om samlingens funktion i för-skoleverksamheten samt hur de uppfattar barnens möjligheter till inflytande och delak-tighet i samlingen. Vi ville ta reda på om pedagogerna ser samlingen som ett verktyg för barninflytande och hur detta i så fall synliggjordes i samlingen. Vi närmade oss vårt problemområde utifrån frågeställningar som rörde pedagogernas åsikter om samlingens funktion i förskolan och hur barnens möjligheter till inflytande och delaktighet synlig-görs i samlingen. För att vidga perspektivet på samling i förskolan gjorde vi en historisk tillbakablick och en kortfattad forskningsöversikt. I den teoretiska utgångspunkten valde vi att använda oss av Vygotskijs teorier i ett sociokulturellt perspektiv, där samspel och kommunikation är grunden för lärande och utveckling.

Denna uppsats syftar till att, ur ett lärandeperspektiv, analysera NPM-litteraturens syn på lärande och organisation. Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ litteraturstudie som ställer lärandeperspektivet i relation till NPM-diskursen. Vi kom fram till att NPM-litteraturens centrala områden, i termer av decentralisering och mål- och resultatstyrning, innehåller goda förutsättningar för lärande. Dessa förutsättningar framställs implicit och behandlas inte uttryckligen. Komplexiteten i NPM-reformerna har inneburit svårigheter att implementera de nya idéerna i organisationerna.

The purpose of this paper is to examine different methods for organisation and retrieval of pop and rock music recordings, and the problems concerned with this organisation. The focus is the question whether values towards pop and rock music influence the organisation of music in major Swedish record collections. As a background for this discussion, the study also discusses how music is organised in these collections, and what kind of problems are associated with their organisation. Also included in the paper is a minor investigation of how problems with the organisation of pop and rock music are dealt with in library and information science, and how values towards pop and rock music are dealt with in society in general. The main focus of the study, however, is an empirical study of how values towards pop and rock music manifest themselves in the pop and rock organisation of six Swedish institutions with major collections of music recordings.

This thesis explores the effect of using a new media in the marketing mix. SL, in cooperation with Clear Channel, has covered the outside of an entire carriage, 46,5 meters long, in an underground train with an advertisement for a company. This new form of advertising has taken place in the Stockholm Underground system during spring 2005. The five companies participating in this project are MTV, the Aftonbladet/Sportsbladet, Eniro 118 118 SMS, Heinz and the Gallerian.An empirical study has been carried through to survey the motive for companies to market themselves, their brand and product/service, by using the outside of a carriage on an under-ground train as a gigantic, mobile bill¬board. The study also investigates the commuters? attitude regarding this form of advertising.

This thesis studies how the Swedish government articulates social exclusion within the spring budget of 2007. Through a discourse theoretical approach, inspired by Ernest Laclau and Chantal Mouffe, the empirical findings are reconstructed through the nodal point of labour and two chains of equivalence, based upon the duality between employment and unemployment. By viewing social exclusion as a phenomenon concerning discourse, identity and politics, this duality forms the basis of a deconstructive and hegemonic analysis.I argue that the term social exclusion is a powerful and flexible political concept in that it obscures ideological assumptions and objectives as well as draws attention away from alternative social concepts. Throughout the thesis social exclusion is stressed as a social category constituting the relation between individual and society. Hence I argue that it is of vital importance that the values underlying its usage are made explicit and that social exclusion as a floating signifier is made an object of academic analysis..

The aim of this essay is to illustrate a fundamental question; what is a democracy allowed to do to protect itself from enemies? I´ve chosen to analyze the conflict between the two values; individual integrity and state´s security. The individual integrity refers to every person's right to have a protected sphere, and the stat´s security refers to its right to protect itself, and these two positions are often time incompatible. This conflict of value is shown in a normative analysis, where depending on which perspective or normative logic is seen as primate, it gives different conclusions to what a democracy should do to defend itself.To demonstrate how severe the threats are against the society, I choose to examine a specific part of the organized crime, the outlaw motorcycle gangs. They have a special position in affecting the legal system because they have an explicit aim to influence the judicial system with scaremongering and threats.

This master?s thesis is about freedom of information ideas in the European Union data retention directive, 2006/24/EC. The directive means that data about electronic communications services will be retentioned. The aim of the thesis is to examine what ideas related to freedom of information that appear in the directive and how these ideas belong to the ideology of freedom of information that is common within the library community and to the juridical restrictions. In the light of surveillance tendencies that have occurred over the last years, the most well-known is probably the USA Patriot Act, it is interesting to study how freedom of information ideas appears when surveillance is legislated.

The purpose of this study was to get an idea of ??how the leaders in the real estate industry perceive and manage boundless working conditions. Questions that were answered were how the leaders in the service influence and control the employees' working conditions. Also how the communication strategies are designed to facilitate the work towards common goals, when tasks are not limited to the workplace. The study examine if boundless working conditions is characterized by unspoken expectations.

The present research examined both automatic and controlled processes in newpapers ability of priming racial stereotypes via the portrayals of people of foreign extraction. The automatic process were examined through articles which; a) involved an illegal act or b) the act was not illegal but morally questionable. Swedish-born subject?s explicit opinions against foreign people were also measured through ?The Modern Racial Prejudice Scale?. In the experiment participants read four different articles which included; Swedish person/noncrime, foreign person/noncrime, Swedish person/crime and foreign person/crime.

Syftet med studien var att ur musiklärares perspektiv skapa en bild av elevers förutsättningar att uppnå kunskapskraven i musik i årskurs 9, enligt kursplanen Lgr 11. Fem musiklärare intervjuades i ämnet. Intervjuerna transkriberades och utifrån lärarnas svar valdes för uppsatsen relevant innehåll ut som sedan redogjordes för i resultatdelen av uppsatsen. I diskussionen relateras dessa slutsatser till i bakgrunden beskriven forskning. Uppsatsens huvudresultat är att elevers förutsättningar och resultat framför allt beror på läraren och dennes förmåga att skapa god undervisningsmiljö samt att lärarnas förutsättningar i form av tid, lokaler och musikutrustning påverkar vad som ingår i undervisningen och elevernas möjlighet att uppnå kunskapskraven.

Syftet med min undersökning har varit att undersöka hur man kan använda sig av serietecknande och tecknade serier i undervisningen med elever som har Svenska som andraspråk och vad elever och lärare anser om detta. Syftet har även varit att undersöka om - och i så fall - hur arbete med serietecknande och tecknade serier kan främja språkutvecklingen. Undersökningen har baserats på fyra lektioner då eleverna fick arbeta med serietecknande och tecknade serier. Dessa lektioner fick eleverna utvärdera. Dokumentationen gjordes genom dagboksanteckningar, kvalitativa intervjuer med deltagande elever och lärare samt elevernas skriftliga utvärderingar.

Introduction: We are facing an aging population, which means that the incidence of age related diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, are expected to increase. In the current situation there is no cure for the disease, whereupon it is important to develop preventive strategies. Objective: To examine the association between Alzheimer's disease and physical activity. Method: A systematic literature search was done to identify the current state of knowledge from the year 2006 onwards. The reason for this limitation was that the SBU commissioned a systematic literature review in 2006, where the relationship between physical activity and Alzheimer's disease could not be determined.

The stakeholders for requirements elicitation need to be identified at an early stage and their knowledge is the basis for what is to become a requirements specification. Just because a stakeholder holds a lot of expertise and knowledge it does not mean that the stakeholder can communicate the knowledge in a clear way. Validation of knowledge means that knowledge is valued and recognized in a structured way. People and organizations can evolve by exchanging knowledge, experience and skills.  The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of knowledge management between requirement elicitation and external stakeholders.
