För att transportera bränsle från tanken till motorn används på tunga fordon idag vanligen en mekanisk pump, driven av och placerad på motorn. Anledningen till att ha en direktdriven pump är främst att det anses som den mest robusta lösningen för den relativt enkla uppgiften som bränsletransport och liten tryckökning anses vara. För att klara av motorstart och driftsfall med höga bränsleflöden är dagens pump överdimensionerad för det behov som finns större delen av tiden.Önskvärt vore att kunna reglera bränslemängden kontinuerligt, för att minska pumparbetet i de punkter matarpumpen idag har överkapacitet. En elektrisk pump kan regleras att endast pumpa bränsle efter behov och erbjuder även andra fördelar, som t.ex. fri placering, möjlighet att använda en mindre pump och tilläggsfunktioner genom mjukvara, exempelvis priming och automatisk avluftning.Projektet har genomförts i form av en förstudie med konceptgenerering för placering av komponenter och provning av dagens system för kravspecifikation.

My goal with this thesis was to investigate how educational material in the subjects of history, geography and social studies relate to the fact that Sweden has a history marked by prejudice and racism.I have chosen to focus on four areas in the Swedish history that I think deserves some special attention, these four areas have been: the Swedish slave trade on the island of Saint Barthelemy in the eighteenth century, Swedish eugenics and oppression of the Sami people, forced sterilization services during the twentieth century and Sweden's aid and concessions to Nazi Germany during World War II. With these areas in focus I?ve studied three textbooks in the courses Geography A, Civics A and History A to se how they deal with prejudice and racism in the Swedish history.The result I have come to is that none of the books addresses all four of the areas I?ve focused on. Even if the books are taken as a whole the image that they convey is not adequate. In the event that the four areas that I?ve focused on been mentioned the information have been scant and rarely, if ever, has Sweden been paired with phenomenons like racism, slavery, colonialism, eugenics, forced sterilization, etc.

Syfte: Huvudsyftet med studien är att undersöka om avkastningen på den svenska aktiemarknaden påverkas av terroristattacker. Delsyftet är att vid en eventuell påverkan undersöka om reaktionen skiljer sig mot landet där attacken skett samt hur lång tid det tar för de olika aktiemarknaderna att återhämta sig.Teoretiskt perspektiv: Den teoretiska referensramen utgörs av teorin om den effektiva marknadshypotesen samt behavioral finance med fokus på flockbeteende.Avgränsningar: I studien undersöks åtta olika terroristattacker och dess påverkan på aktiemarknaden i Sverige och landet där attacken skett.Metod: Studien är kvantitativ och använder ett deduktivt angreppssätt. För att besvara frågeställningarna tillämpas en eventstudie där två eventfönster används. Ett eventfönster på en dag och ett längre på elva dagar samt en estimeringsperiod som omfattar 30 dagar. Insamlad data används för att mäta den avvikande avkastningen som eventuellt uppstår efter att en terroristattack ägt rum vilket säger om attacken haft någon påverkan.Slutsatser: Terroristattacker har en påverkan på den svenska aktiemarknaden och i de flesta fall är påverkan negativ.

The ambition of this project is to make an overview of the Swedish upholstery industry and to make a suitable complement to the Carl Malmsten upholstery collection.The Swedish furniture industry employs about 20 000 people in 815 companies. Totally the branch had a turnover of 17,5 billion Swedish krona in the year 2000. Of these 815 companies most of them are small family driven companies with low-tech industry. 10 % of the 815 companies stand for 60% of the production. These are large-scale companies and have a hi-tech industry, even compared with other types of industries.

Introduction: The number of hearing impairments in Sweden is increasing. The largest increase is seen in ages 25-44. There are reasons to believe that these impairments are noise induced. Leisure time noise is not controlled in the same manner that industrial noise is. An ongoing conflict between city council officials and rock club owners, musicians and music event organizers about sound levels at smaller live music clubs exceeding the national sound level restrictions created the need for an acoustic intervention project.

This thesis explores in which ways the portrayal of the event known as the Stockholm bloodbath has changed during the period 1869-1996. This is done through textbook analysis. In Sweden, history has been a school subject since the 17th century, and has throughout its history had a formative role in the Swedish school system. In the middle of the 19th century it was specifically stated that the aim was to help students nurture a sense of national pride and love of country. The aim of the study is to investigate how nationally loaded events have been portrayed in text books, as well as if and how the evolution of said textbooks reflect the evolution of the history subject as a whole.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera festivalen Piteå Dansar och Ler (PDOL) utifrån dess image och experiencescape samt att lägga fram förbättringsförslag för PDOL utifrån dessa begrepp. Ordet experiencescape beskriver området inom vilket en vara eller tjänst produceras och konsumeras. Många av festivalerna i Sverige genomgick en kris under åren 2009-2010 och redovisade stora förlustsiffror, men det var även vissa festivaler som lyckades skapa vinst. Vårt studieobjekt PDOL var en av de festivaler som redovisade förlustsiffror i miljonklassen dessa år och hotades med nedläggning. PDOL valde att inför 2011 fortsätta med festivalen efter en omorganisering.

How is the change implemented in practice?? What do banks think this change will mean for the future?Method:The study was conducted with the help of a qualitative scientific method. We conducted interviews with representatives of four banks, and made use of secondary data in the form of scientific literature and scientific articles.Result & Conclusions:Organizations implement changes in order to adapt and achieve balance with their environment but also within the organization itself. Our study shows that the decision to introduce cashless branches is mainly a result of banks' efforts to become more cost efficient.

Uppsatsens syfte är att studera hur fem individer, på en specifik arbetsplats, upplever att arbeta tillsammans i ett team samt vilken effekt teambuilding har på relationerna i gruppen. Studien är gjord med en kvalitativ ansats, där intervjuer och observationer har utgjort det inhämtade materialet. Efter att teamet varit iväg på en ?kick-off?, som kan liknas till ett teambuilding event, och tagit del av motivations och inspirations samtal, upplevde respondenterna att de förstärkt teamet och förde dem samman. Denna studie undersöker vad det är som egentligen håller ihop en grupp individer med olika bakgrunder och som till mesta dels spenderar tid tillsammans under arbetstid och på arbetsplatsStudien visar att det finns likheter mellan Goffmans teorier om ett teams gemensamma mål samt rollframträdande.

In this two-years masters thesis the information practices of former interns are examined in relation to a possible lack of certain kinds of information in the prison environment. The essay is positioned in the research field of information practices which means its looking at all kinds of information, formal and informal. Since the essay is in the field of information practices it means the focus lies in how information is taught whithin contexts and groups. Information is not looked at solely as an individual process but is seen as a collective experience.The method of the essay is that of the qualitative research interview. Besides taking an interest in information practices i investigate whether access of information in prisons could be improved and whether the library organisations could be a part of those improvements.The result of my research shows that information in the prison coming from the correctional institution is not perceived as well functioning.

Bakgrund och problemformulering: Revisions-­ och konsultbyrån Grant Thornton genomförde i september 2008 en undersökning med 400 VD:ar i svenska företag. Resultatet visade att svenska företag är tämligen duktiga på att kunna fo?rutspå omvärldsförändringar men att det alltför sällan leder till någon form av strategisk planering och handling. Företagets Chief Financial Officer (CFO), som ansvarig för ekonomifunktionen och som den med bäst insyn i företagets finansiella ställning, har en nyckelroll i företagets förmåga att hantera omvärldsförändringar. Det är därför vitalt att CFO arbetar strategiskt och kan vidta snabba åtgärder vid behov och därmed inte bedriver en reaktiv styrning där åtgärder vidtas först när problem redan har hunnit uppstå.

Media brings attention to the concept of preschools being in large need of more male teachers. In order to implement an increase of male teachers, various methods have been employed, most of which are based on the concepts of gender and equality. In question however, are the views of present teachers on the need for male teachers, and their expectations of those men! Or in other terms: What particular type of men are requested? And how does this correspond with the gender patterns induced by male teachers in their daily practical work? The purpose of this survey is to analyze expectations of male teachers and their role in the preschool context, through a gender perspective. I want to shed light on this purpose based on two questions: What ?kind? of men are requested by the present teachers? and Which gender patterns will the men induce to their daily work chores, and to their interaction with the children? The survey was conducted by means of interviews, polls, and observations, and the results were obtained from two preschools of which one in particular has extended focus on gender issues.

Examensarbetet har genomförts på Volvo Lastvagnar i Umeå, VLU. Uppgiften var att göra en förstudie angående automatisk inmontering av instrumentbräda i lastvagnshytt. Denna studie är ett naturligt steg i den produktionsförändring som kommer att ske sommaren 2004. Idag monteras hytter på 16 stycken kortflöden med tillhörande arbetslag och detta arbetssätt ska bytas ut mot en kontinuerligt driven bana eller line som det ofta kallas. Med denna förändring vill VLU uppnå de rationaliseringskrav som ställts av Volvos ledning för att få fortsätta montera hytter i Umeå.

På lång sikt är en ekonomisk tillväxt driven av teknologiska förändringar samt innovationer. Teknologin har gett oss möjligheten att bli innovativa genom helt andra vägar, där fler samarbeten sker över gränser. Open Innovation är ett fenomen som bygger på öppet samarbete mellan organisationer och externa aktörer. Mer transparens och öppenhet för externa kunskaper kan generera nya värden och bidra till den interna utvecklingen. Förekommande exempel på detta sorts samarbete är många, där syftet kan vara att tillsammans skapa nya produkter och eller utveckla nya marknadsföringsvägar.
