There is a growing awareness that multinational companies have opportunities to influence political conditions. Ethical activities made by multinational companies and ?Corporate Social Responsibility? (CSR) can therefore function as a positive input in society. The primary purpose of this master thesis is to investigate CSR´s contribution to strengthen human rights, and thereby to democratization. The research questions are listed below:1.

Syfte: Det övergripande syftet med denna uppsats är att ur ett moraliskt perspektiv ge  en vidare och mer ingående förståelse för marknadsföringen av läkemedel samt  att utforska om det finns anledning att skilja mellan reklam och information i läkemedelsbranschen.Metod: Problemet i denna studie belyses via en kvalitativ ansats. De metoder som använts  för datainsamlingen har varit semistrukturerade intervjuer med representanter  från Läkemedelsindustriföreningen samt observationer av annonser i Läkartidningen  och reklamfilmer på TV4. I arbetet har det använts en egenframställd  mall för att koda och sammanställa datamaterialet från reklamobservationerna.  Det empiriska materialet från både intervjuer och observationer har sedan  analyserats via kontraproduktivitetsteorin samt en modell för etisk revision.Resultat: Marknadsföring av läkemedel bedöms av författarna till denna studie vara en  moraliskt rättfärdigad handling. En av anledningarna till detta är att läkemedelsföretagen  genom sin forskning bidrar till ett ökat välbefinnande för samhällets  medborgare. Forskningen finansieras till viss del av försäljningsintäkter, vilka i  sin tur har större chans att öka då marknadsföring bedrivs.

This thesis is about the effect of political efficacy on societal participation among youths aged 15 to 29. It takes a starting point in the gloomy view of the decline of political participation among citizens in the western world, especially pointing out youths as a threat to democracy. This is a broad subject to take on so my aim becomes a bit more specific. The aim of the thesis is therefore to investigate if belief in ones own capacity and in the responsiveness of the political system affects the actual participation among youths in Europe, independent of a set of alternative predictors. Moreover the thesis is divided into two sub-investigations, one qualitative and one quantitative.

Presently environmental and ethical matters are in the centre of attention and companies producing sustainability reports have become more common. It has also started to become more and more ordinary to assure these sustainability reports by an external part. However, the amount of assured sustainability reports differs a lot between different countries.There can be several reasons for why the companies chose to get the sustainability report assured. Previous studies state that the choice to produce sustainability reports can be re-lated to theories like the legitimacy theory, stakeholder theory and the agent theory. Other aspects that can affect the decision to construct a sustainability report can according to prior studies be different company characteristics and the national culture in the country in which the company is operating.

Detta arbete handlar om Etik och Moral och om hur helt vanliga människor agerar i för dem ovanliga situationer. I vardagligt tal används ofta etik och moral som synonyma begrepp men det handlar egentligen om olika saker. Man använder begreppet moral när man syftar på grundläggande åsikter ifråga om vad som är rätt eller fel. Lagen (1988:870) om vård av missbrukare i vissa fall (LVM) är en tvångsvårdslag och är den enda lagen som avviker från frivillighetsprincipen i socialtjänstlagen, vilket ger socialsekreterarna möjligheten att gå emot individens fria vilja. Studien syftar till att belysa de faktorer som kan bidra till vilka svårigheter socialsekreterare kan ställas inför i relation till LVM-lagstiftningen, individens rättssäkerhet och självbestämmanderätt. Syftet är också att problematisera socialsekreterarnas tillvägagångssätt gällande tillämpningen av LVM-lagstiftningen och om mål och syfte uppfylls. De teoretiska utgångspunkter som används för att kunna analysera det empiriska materialet är teorier om socialsekreterarnas handlingsutrymme och etiska dilemman som kan uppstå i relation till klienten samt teorier om makt och motivation. För att samla in det empiriska materialet användes semistrukturerade intervjuer med olika socialsekreterare, därmed fångades socialsekreterarnas egna erfarenheter upp kring arbetet med LVM i praktiken.

Today there are over 100 000 stray cats in Sweden and of these 10 000 are found in Gothenburg. There are several instances that try to reduce the number of stray cats. The problem for stray cats is primarily the suffering they may face in hunger, cold, predators, diseases, parasites, accidents, etc. The cats receive no veterinary care and may die from a simple infection that easily can be cured with antibiotics. Stray cats also can spread diseases to domestic cats, be a sanitary problem and compete with other small predators on prey. Authorities working with stray cats are the Country Administrative Board and the police authority.

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskorna har en central roll i samarbetet kring vårdandet i livets slutskede. Det etiska har stor betydelse i detta sammanhang. Maktlöshet, osäkerhet och otydlighet skapade etiska konflikter i vården generellt i samband med kommunikation, relationer och samarbete. Här beskrivs vad vård i livets slutskede innefattar, sjuksköterskans roll, etik i vårdandet och vad etiska svårigheter är.Syfte: Denna översikts syfte var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av etiskt svåra situationer inom vård i livets slutskede.Metod: Studien är en allmän litteraturöversikt som syftar till att skapa en översikt över det nuvarande kunskapsläget inom ämnet. Översikten bygger på elva artiklar, som har granskats och analyserats kritiskt.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the reasons a religious minority leader has to convert to a larger religious group and how the leader chooses to communicate this event in certain daily press. In March 2014 the leader and founder of the Christian and charismatic movement ?Livets Ord? (Words of Life), Ulf Ekman, announced his decision converting to the Roman Catholic Church after a 10 year long process of thinking. The communications of Ekman?s linguistic language in the articles are discussed through two discourse analyzing perspective, Laclau & Mouffe?s and Fairclough?s.
