Upplysningar om socialt ansvar - Vad påverkar vilka upplysningar som lämnas och hur dessa kommuniceras?
Corporate Social Responsibility has been defined as the responsibility towards stakeholders and the society in whole and the expression was founded in the 1950´s. Reporting in corporate social responsibility has been termed corporate social disclosure and has been divided into three areas: environment, ethics and human resources. The aim of this study is to explain variations in corporate social disclosure and the different media used by corporations to communicate these disclosures. A survey was conducted, which included all Swedish corporations listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, and all public-owned corporations. The results show that corporate characteristics such as size, industry and profitability can explain some of the variation in social disclosures and also have an effect on the extent and variation of the media used.

The purpose of our study is to examine whether social welfare secretaries experience obstacles in work to do their tasks in a way that they, from their own values, thinks is right. And if so, what are the reactions and what strategies do they use to manage this. The study is based on a qualitative method. The data consist of interviews, with five social welfare secretaries, which all work in southern Sweden. The social welfare secretaries both work at a children- and youth department and at a social allowance department.

The aim of this study is to examine what social workers consider as ?challenging behaviour? among adolescents, but also to examine the connection between investigation and intervention in cases where such behaviour is being displayed. The questions of the study are to examine what social workers think of the instrument of assessment BBIC (Children?s Needs in Focus) and how the usage of BBIC affect social workers understanding of challenging behaviour. Moreover, it is a qualitative study and the respondents are all social workers with various length of professional experience who work with making decisions in juvenile welfare cases.

?CSR and political consumption ? a study of Nike?s and Puma?s CSR-reports?The purpose of this dissertation is to examine if political consumption has influenced multinational corporations to improve their Corporate Social Responsibility reports and policies more, than a company who has not been a target for political consumption.This dissertation is a content analysis of Nike?s and Puma?s first (Nike 2001, Puma 2001) and latest (Nike 2007/09, Puma 2007/08) CSR- reports. Archie Carroll?s model of Corporate Social Responsibility is used as theoretical framework in this study. The model is used to focus on four areas within CSR; economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic.
Reklambyråer & Samhällsansvar : en studie av reklambyråers förutsättningar för ett socialt ansvarstagande
Background: Research results show that the potential of corporate social responsibility (CSR) has increased. That means there is a growing pressure on Swedish companies to act with responsibility: general public has a positive attitude towards companies that communicate their CSR. Advertising agencies have been criticized by their way to manage the question of social responsibility. One of the characteristics of an advertising agency is their anonymity; even though their products are extremely visible, it is rarely clear who gave rise to an advertising production. If this is put in relation to CSR in general, we find ourselves in a contradictory situation when CSR in many cases is about exposure of the responsible corporation.
Politiska mord- en rättfärdig strategi i kriget mot terrorismen?
After the 9/11 attack the United States declared war against terrorism, which launched a conflict between indefinable transnational networks and states. In this war it became clear that the strategies used in traditional wars between states were not sufficient. New strategies have been discussed, but without any concrete results.In this thesis assassinations of terrorist leaders ordered by states is being presented as a possible strategy in the war against terrorism. Assassinations have been used in all times to shift political power but is today not morally accepted. This thesis aims to show that when used under the premisses of the just war theory, the strategy can be equally morally justified as any traditional war.
Skolan - klassfrämjande eller klassutjämnande : En undersökning om vad tre lärare tänker om elevers hanterande av den ansvarstagande elevrollen.
Children from different backgrounds, cultures and home environments attend school everyday. The educational system of today focus on the importance for every individual pupil to take responsibility, in order to gain knowledge. From an early age should the pupils learn how to work independant and take responsibility for their education. My questian, and what I have decided to discuss in this paper, is wether everyone has the same opportunity to gain knowlwdge and learn trough this method. In preperation for this essay I read litterature where the authors claims that this kind of educational system is not for everyone, but it benefits those pupils that comes from a middleclass background.So, is our school system fair and equal? Can everyone, no matter what social and cultural group they belong to, get the education thay have right to? In order to get a deeper understanding I interviewed three teachers that works in different schools.
Att förändra med moral: Konsten att utnyttja utrikespolitik som medel för den inhemska opinionen.
Det skedde i mitten av sextiotalets Sverige en remarkabel förändring i den svenska utrikespolitiken. En aktivering tog form som innebar ett större svenskt deltagande internationellt. Det yttrade sig framförallt i en stark moralisk hållning med kritik som vapen.Vi frågar oss om aktiveringen kan betraktas som ett sätt att ta fokus från inrikesproblem. Är förändringen en taktik av Socialdemokraterna för att stärka sin maktposition? Genom en ?mest lika?-analys jämför vi perioderna 1945-1964 och 1965-1976 för att hitta förklaringar till förändringen.
Ord mot handling: att genom samtal väcka reflekterande tankar
hos elever rörande deras beteende mot andra
Detta utvecklingsarbete genomfördes under vår slutpraktik på två olika högstadieskolor i Norrbotten. Syftet med vårt arbete var att se om vi genom samtal med eleverna kunde väcka reflekterande tankar rörande deras beteende mot andra. Vår metod gick ut på att i halv- och helklass samtala om vissa utvalda områden rörande etik och moral. För att se om vi uppnått det syfte vi eftersträvat har vi använt oss av loggböcker, enkät och intervjuer. Resultatet vi fick visade att eleverna upplevde detta utvecklingsarbete som viktigt och att de kunde se vissa positiva förändringar i klassens beteende.

The investigation resulted in the execution of three focus group interviews with four students in each group from three different classes.

Due to the increase of the emission of greenhouse gas and climate changes more and more customers demand environmentally sustainable products. The increased demand of sustainable products from cradle to grave is something that has affected the food sector. Many retailers within the food sector feel that they are less or more forced to be environmentally friendly. Nowadays many retailers have chosen to show customers and stakeholders that they want to ?do good? by publishing annual sustainability reports.
The Swedish food market has been one of many markets investing in being environmentally friendly.
Corporate Social Responsibility - en del i marknadsföringsstrategin : en fallstudie av ett svenskt och ett brittiskt fastighetsbolag
Denna uppsats behandlar fenomenet och begreppet Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Begreppet används synonymt med företags samhällsansvar och innebär att företag frivilligt vill medverka till ett bättre samhälle. Utgångspunkten är Carroll och Buchholtz mångciterade modell The Pyramid of Corporate Social Responsibility, som förklarar CSR utifrån fyra ansvar: ekonomiskt-, legalt-, etiskt- och filantropiskt. Fokus ligger på CSR som en del i ett företags marknadsföringsstrategi, med betoning på det ekonomiska-, etiska- och filantropiska ansvaret. Problemformuleringen lyder: Hur ser chefers uppfattningar om Corporate Social Responsibility, som en del i marknadsföringsstrategin, i ett brittiskt respektive svenskt fastighetsbolag ut? Syftet är att ta reda på svaret på problemformuleringen samt att se om det finns likheter och skillnader i de båda studerade företagens chefers uppfattningar om CSR.
Etiska och moraliska värderingar i samband med pensionering av ridskolehästen
I samma takt som ridskolor rekryterar hästar måste de också avveckla hästar på grund av att hästarna blir gamla och inte orkar med arbetet. Att veta vad som är rätt att göra med hästen när den pensioneras kan vara svårt och det finns väldigt lite fakta om avveckling. Många faktorer spelar in, bland annat etik och moral. Syftet med studien var att ta reda på hur ridskolor handlar och tänker ur ett etiskt och moraliskt perspektiv när man ska pensionera ridskolehästen. Det har även undersökts vad ridskolorna har för syn och värdering på hästar, elever och samhälle eftersom det kan tänkas påverka deras moraliska och etiska värdering vid pension av ridskolehästar.I studien har kvalitativ metod använts genom telefonintervjuer med sex ridskolor utvalda över hela landet som är anslutna till Svenska ridsportförbundet.
Den gröna konsumentmakten - medborgarens ekologiska insats
The aim of this thesis is to form a theory of the green consumer power and to distinguish whether this phenomenon could indicate a movement toward the ecological citizenship. To do so, scientific theories regarding the responsibility of companies have been used, as well as the public choice theory, to link individuals as citizens to individuals as consumers. The motives of corporate environmental responsibility, along with consumers ability to bring pressure in different dimensions, are later drawn on as indicators applied to empirical information. The largest producer of ecological products in Sweden, Arla Foods, is employed as case study to explore if the green consumer power can and does exist. The ecological citizenship uses the ecological footprint, to define in what ways we can minimize our part of environmental degradation.The study seems to strengthen the theory, consumers do have a power to make companies go green and they tend to use it increasingly.
