The functionalism started in southern Europe after world war one and got its breakthrough in Sweden with the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930. Poverty caused many people living in overcrowded conditions which the functionalists wanted to change by using less expensive materials and giving healthier living conditions to the people. The industrialization brought new materials and working methods which made this possible. The Swedish functional style is recognised by its light plaster facing and nearly horizontal roofs. Also the garden design of that time was influenced by the functionalistic ideas. The garden was now introduced as a pleasure garden for not only the rich but for everyone.

Denna studie fokuserar på sponsring inom kultursektorn utifrån den sponsrade partens perspektiv. Syftet med studien är att analysera hur aktörer inom kultursektorn går tillväga för att identifiera och attrahera potentiella sponsorer till sina verksamheter. Studien är avgränsad till sponsring inom kultursektorn i Sverige och de aktörer som undersöks är Bonniers Konsthall, Riksteatern, Skansen och Way out West. Undersökningen bygger på en flerfallstudie där intervjuer har genomförts med representanter för varje aktör. Studiens övergripande teoretiska referensram är hämtad från Managerial Theory och de koncept som används är marknadsföringskonceptet och marknadsföringsmixen.

SammanfattningDenna studie syftar till att undersöka autonoma och kontrollerade motivationsfaktorers förekomst hon erfarna respektive oerfarna anställda inom säljande organisationer. Detta har undersökts genom en kvalitativ studie med semi-strukturerade intervjuer som grund. Tre olika säljande företag och fem anställda på varje företag valdes ut för att utföra denna flerfallsstudie. Materialet analyserades sedan genom en abduktiv analysmetod i form av Well Grounded Theory.Resultatet visade vissa samband mellan särskilda motivationsfaktorer hos de erfarna anställda respektive de oerfarna. Gränsen för att vara erfaren anställd är dragen vid 7 år på arbetsplatsen.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the distribution of medieval ballads as semiotics of intertextuality in modern Swedish literature, here represented by August Strindberg, Erik Axel Karlfeldt, Kerstin Ekman and Katarina Frostenson. They are famous authors from different epochs, ranging from the period called ?the modern breakthrough? in the 1880s until the postmodernism of the present time. My aim is to expose their attraction to medieval balladry, and their different ways of using form, language and style from this old poetry in poems, prose and plays, explicit as well as implicit..

?Mechanical debridment ? A studie in irrigation optimization? is a final thesis which was executed by Fredrick Ekman, in close collaboration with the other group member Mikael Johansson, during the spring 2012. The thesis was carried out through Karlstad University Faculty of Technology and Science in the study program of Innovation and Design Engineering (180 ECTS credits). The client of the project was Medilink AB located in Lindesberg, and the contact person was Nils-Erik Söderström, Chief Executive Officer. The project was supervised by lecturer, Lennart Wihk, and examined by lecturer and professor Fredrik Thuvander at Karlstad University.

Det finns idag många verktyg och ramverk för att utveckla spelapplikationer. I den här rapporten kommer jag utvärdera Phaser.io som är ett öppen källkodsramverk för att utveckla webspelsapplikationer.Resultatet av det här examensarbetet är en prototyp av spelet Equamem som jag har utvecklat utifrån min handledare Erik Berglunds spelkoncept och design. Equamem är en HTML5 webspelsprototyp utvecklat med ramverket Phaser.io med HTML5 och JavaScript.I rapporten kommer jag gå igenom olika designval som gjorts och itererats under spelprototypens versioner av utveckling. Jag kommer även utforska hur man utvecklar ett intressant och lättlärt matematikpusselspel.Rapporten kommer innehålla information om Phaser.io, vad det är och vad det erbjuder för funktionalitet och hur jag har använt det i utvecklingen av Equamem. Jag kommer gå igenom fördelar och nackdelar med att använda ramverkets funktioner och utvärdera hur väl lämpat det har för att utveckla spel som Equamem..

Frågan hur ett företags resultat skall fördelas mellan ägare och övriga intressenter ger ofta upphov till diskussion. Bertmar & Molin (1977) konstaterar denna motsättning. Företagets investeringsplaner, såväl som likviditet och kapitalbehov, framhävs som inflytelserika faktorer för dess utdelning. D´Souza & Saxena (1996) understryker vidare ägarstrukturens inverkan på utdelningen. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att identifiera och beskriva viktiga faktorer som påverkar utdelningen i ett företag där ägandet är statligt.

Uppsatsen är en reflekterande text som behandlar verket Blueberry Garden ? ett datorspel som utforskar möjligheterna till historieberättande genom endast interaktivitet och spelmekanik. Verket och texten är en produkt av Erik Svedängs examensarbete under våren 2008 vid Högskolan i Skövde.Genom kontinuerlig speltestning under projektets gång, där testpersoner fått spela spelet och sedan berätta om sina erfarenheter, har spelets möjligheter till att skapa meningsfulla narrativ försökt utrönas.Slutsatsen är att det mycket väl är möjligt att berätta historier enbart genom interaktivitet och spelmekanik. Resultatet måste dock tydligare presenteras som en berättelse för spelaren än vad som är fallet i Blueberry Garden..

The aim of this study is to contribute to further research in whether there is a reason why we cope the way we do in relation to age. The questions answered in this study was, what coping two girls, whom lived during the Holocaust, used and how the coping found, were possible to interpret from theories of developmental psychology. In order to answer the questions asked a method called Template Analysis Style and three different theories have been applied.

With this master thesis I wanted to find out whether Erik Fichtelius, an SVT employee, interview project with prime minister Göran Persson is acceptable according to the public service ideology. In order to do that I used Swedish newspaper articles to analyse the so called Fichtelius affair. I also gathered material on SVT and the public service ideology. The master thesis is based on sociologist Manuel Castells theories on mass media and television as presented in the Information Age. Castells claims that in our time different areas, such as politics and television, are melting together.

What is the relation of image and word, of sentences and pictures? What kind of message does this combination produce when juxtaposed on a single material plane? And how do we read its ?infinite? relation? These are the questions at the center of this inquiry. My main interest concerns the exact nature of the relation between photographic images and textual elements of poetic language when these are juxtaposed in what I call Phototext poetry.The thesis calls into question the conventional reading habits of the conjunction of photographs and texts, and seeks to understand the more complex connections intrinsic to the relation image/word and its material and perceptual play in poetic works. Does a text always ?anchor? the multiple meanings of an image, as Roland Barthes argues? What if the alterations of an image could ?anchor? certain fractions of a poetic, polysemantic textual construct? Is a photograph indifferent to the visual, material permutations of texts that certain contemporary poetic practices produce?I discuss phototextual works and collaborations of various kinds, from Molin fontän [?Molin?s fountain?] (1866) over classic surrealist poetry to language-oriented writing.
