Objective: In recent years there has been an increasing interest within the clinical (medical) science in measuring people?s health. When estimating quality of life, present practise is to use the EQ-5D questionnaire and an index which weighs the different questions. The question is what happens if the individuals estimate there own health, would it differ from the public preferences? The aim is to make a new prediction model based on the opinion of patients and compare it to the present model based on public preferences.Method: A sample of 362 patients with unstable coronary artery disease from the Frisc II trial, valued their quality of life in the acute phase and after 3, 6 and 12 months.

The purpose of this paper is to compare two different portfolio strategies consisting of insider transactions and stock recommendations and examine whether they posses any information advantage.  The portfolios are balanced once every three-, six- and twelve- months in the period of 2007-2009. Our results show a pattern for these investment strategies. The portfolio consisting of insider transactions generates a positive return in equity in a negative market environment and the opposite reaction in a positive environment. The result for the portfolio consisting of stock recommendations show a positive return of equity in positive environment and the opposite effect in negative environment. The pattern that has been observed can be classified as an anomaly.

Denna utredning har syftat till att undersöka borrhålsdiameterns och den specifika laddningens inverkan på andelen producerat finmaterial (material <5,6 respektive &lt;8,0 mm) samt om det finns samband mellan dessa parametrar och resultaten från några vanliga kvalitetstester för ballastmaterial. de erhållna resultaten är följande: det har konstaterats signifikanta skillnader i andelen producerat finmaterial mellan några av de i försöket ingående provsalvorna. det har dock inte gått att relatera dessa skillnader till ovan nämnda parametrar från losshållningen. kvalitetstesterna, som utförts på de färdiga slutprodukterna 5-8, 8-11 och 11-16, har varit lt3-index, sprödhetstal, flisighetstal samt kulkvarnsvärde. vissa signifikanta skillnader har härvid kunnat konstateras, framförallt vad gäller lt3-index.

Despite the fact that society is investing substantial resources in individuals not to relapse into crime, then relapse is still a large percentage of new crimes. Crime is something that all societies are dealing with and at all social levels. By punishing individuals they are excluded from the society. This serves as a form of social control. It has been shown that there is no solution to the problem.

Fär att förklara de förhållandena som råder mellan marknadsplatsen, företagen och investerare använder vi oss av teorierna: Det finansiella gapet, Legitimitetsteorin och Intressentteorin. I uppsatsen har vi kommit fram till att de nya marknadsplatserna fyller en viktig funktion för mindre och medelstora företag i tillväxtfas. Vi har dock konstaterat att det föreligger vissa brister gällande upprätthållandet och praxis i det nuvarande gällande regelverken. Detta kan vara en bidragande orsak till att handeln inte alltid fungerar ändamålsenligt.

The purpose of this investigation is to come across the associations of consumers who are being exposed to a brand extension from a different product category. Moreover, our aim is to contribute to the knowledge of how consumers respond to these extended products, by investigating the influence of the parent brand. To fulfill our purpose, this study was conducted through qualitative interviews with consumers. In order to carry out our investigation and analyze our findings the following theoretical framework has been used: Customer-based equity, Parent brand affect and Perceived fit. Our data was collected through ten semi-structured interviews including consumers of Fiat and Marlboro brand extensions.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att empiriskt testa om det går att få överavkastning jämfört med MSCI Europe index, med hjälp utav rekommendationsestimat hämtat från FactSet databas. Vald tidsperiod är mellan den 31/10/2002 och den 31/10/2006. Utifrån detta vill författaren se om det går att avgöra hur effektiv marknaden/prissättningen är. Background: During extreme market conditions like the period during fall 2008 the discussion of what affects company value becomes apparent. The capital structure is the relation between borrowed capital and equity in a company´s financing mix. What impact changes in capital structure have on company value is a widely debated subject within the theory of finance. If a relationship between capital structure and company value exists the implication is that an optimal capital structure where company value is maximized also exists.Aim: The aim of the thesis is to study whether a certain relationship between capital structure and company value exists among selected stocks and companies listed on Stockholmsbörsens OMXS30.Implementation: With aim to fulfill the purpose of the thesis regression analysis has been performed among chosen stocks and companies. The empirical results eventuating from this have been analyzed from the view of elected relevant theory.Completion and results: We find that during normal market conditions a positive relationship between debt ratio and enterprise value (EV) can be established.

Today, there are a number of different models and methods used to estimate the equity value of a company. A common tool for valuating stock prices is the usage of different multiples. This is a method used to determine the value of a company, by examining and comparing the financial ratios of relevant peer groups. The disadvantage with this method is that it does not take all the important aspects, such as risk, investments and capital structure, into consideration. However, this study investigates if the key value, called discounted cash flow (DCF), can be integrated with the valuation of the multiples.

This thesis examines how Swedish newspaper media problematize surveillance. This is done by analysing the media reports from two major surveillance events: the debate in 2008 about the legislation concerning the expansion of the rights of Försvarets Radioanstalt to monitor internet and telephone traffic crossing the Swedish borders, and the revealing of an ethnically based index including over 4000 individuals created by the Swedish police. The thesis sets out to expand the knowledge about media?s role as a interpreting source of information concerning how people understand and relate to surveillance (Barnard-Wills, 2011; Carlsson, 2009; Greenberg & Hier, 2009). The thesis attempts to answer the question whether Swedish media problematizations regarding the abovementioned surveillance events correlates with the most common theories of surveillance critique.

Föreliggande studie syftar till att fördjupa kunskapen om organisationstypens betydelse för socialt stöd på arbetsplatsen. Vilket sker via tre index avsedda att mäta socialt stöd (informativt stöd från chef, stämning på arbetsplatsen och nätverksstöd) och fem organisationstyper (den individuella, sociala, traditionella, grupporienterade och reglerande organisationstypen), organisationstyper som sedan tidigare är identifierade av Bolin och Höckertin (2010). Organisationstyper och index för socialt stöd analyserades med datamaterial från 3249 individer. Deltagarna i föreliggande studie var anställda i norra Sverige som under åren 2000 ? 2003 deltog i projekten Work Lipids and Fibrinogen Fortsättning (WOLF - F) och Friska arbetsplatser.
