Socialsekreterares kunskap om och anvädning av sociala medier i arbetet : En studie i en medelstor kommun i södra Sverige
AbstractThe aim off this study is to research social workers´ knowledge, use, risks and possibilities of social media in their work with clients. Because today the society is using social media networks in daily life and social media has become a tool in social work as well. How does social media and social work cooperate? And how does social media effect social workers? For example the website Facebook has grown huge and many people use it everyday. Where is the line between work and private life? To reach this knowledge in this study, qualitative interviews have been done with six social workers that work with children, youths and families.
Religionslärares användning av tidningsartiklar : en kvalitativ undersökning om alternativa läromedel
This study discusses and examines the alternative teaching materials in religion class amongst seven teachers in Stockholm region. As religion is a complex subject to both learn and to teach it may be beneficial to use alternative texts to show the diversity of the subject. The aim of this study was to examine why teachers use news articles and other articles from daily magazines in their religion class. I also examined how the teachers motivated their choices of teaching materials. The study is qualitative and the empirical work was done by interviewing seven teachers in religion.

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to examine how some larger Swedish public libraries reason about the use of social media as part of their activities and outreach. To attain the purpose three research-questions were established; why does the public library use social media? How does the public library utilize social media? What extra value do librarians believe that use of social media can add to the libraries? function? The methodology used in the thesis is qualitative interviews. Six interviews were conducted with librarians in charge of social media at their respective libraries. Five of the interviews were conducted by telephone and one by Email.
Artisters identitet och image - ett varumärkesperspektiv
Title: Artists? identity and image ? a brand perspective The purpose of this study has been to create an understanding of how artists in the music business can be seen as brands and to see what stands out when having this approach. During the study we have focused on the two terms identity and image. We find this issue interesting and relevant since branding has been widely discussed in business economy, but not enough when it comes to artists in the music business. To answer our research question we have targeted three aims for this essay, which is to clarify and analyze:? Identity and image when people are viewed as brands? What specifically characterizes the image of the artists when they are seen as brands and what it might mean that artists are considered as brands? How artists identity and image can be highlighted, shaped, influenced and how it can changeIn this study we have used a qualitative approach to get the topic in depth and gain a greater understanding for the subject.
INTERAKTIV KULTURFÖRMEDLING VIA BIBLIOTEKETS WEBBPLATS: En kvantitativ studie av svenska folkbiblioteks webbplatser
The purpose of this master´s thesis is to examine how the cultural exchange function of Swedish libraries may be perceived on their websites. A further intention is to examine how the library websites are used at the present. Two quantitative web-based surveys have been sent out to a great number of Swedish public libraries. The first survey was directed to the webmasters of the libraries, in order to review the different services offered by the Swedish library websites of today. The second survey was conducted with library directors, in order to visualise what services they consider ought to be present on their own library website.
Användbarheten på högskolornas och universitetens hemsidor ur studenternas perspektiv.
Problemområde: En del av de högskolor och universitet som har hemsidor har inte
lagt så stor vikt på användbarhet då deras funktionalitet brister. Det är svårt
för deras studenter att på ett så enkelt sätt som möjligt nå den information de
behöver.
Hypotes: ?Användbarheten på högskolornas- och universitetens hemsidor kan
förbättras med hjälp av att krav ställs från studenterna.?
Genomförandet: För att undersöka hypotesen har tre undersökningar gjorts. Den
första var en granskning av de utvalda högskolornas och universitetens hemsidor
av författarna. Undersökning nummer två gjordes med hjälp av enkäter som
studenter vid de utvalda högskolorna och universiteten fick svara på.

Internal communication is very important for the success of an organization. The county council Landstinget i Värmland is a large organization with many managers on different positions. Every one of these managers gets an Email every week, with the message that a new manager letter, called Chef, is published on the intranet. With my paper I am examining what the managers think of this letter, how they use it and if managers on different positions differ from each other in opinions about and use of the letter. I want to find out if there is a need of Chef as a part of the internal communication of Landstinget i Värmland.To answer these questions, I have chosen a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire which is send to all the receivers of the manager letter.
Biblioteket på Facebook. En studie av hur akademiska bibliotek och folkbibliotek i Sverige använder sig av Facebook.
This study investigates the use of the social network Facebook among 67 Swedish libraries; 27 academic libraries and 40 public libraries. Data is collected through an analysis of the libraries? Facebook pages and through an Email survey. To analyze the data, a series of statistical analyses were performed.The results indicate that the public libraries more actively posted Facebook updates than the academic libraries and that the libraries that had a policy for use of Facebook/social media more actively posted updates than those libraries that did not have such policy. The libraries use Facebook mainly to post links and photos and to announce events, provide book recommendations, and to emphasize special occasions.
Anorexia Nervosa - en fast identitet i en flytande modernitet? : En kvalitativ undersökning av individer som utvecklat anorexia
The aim of this study is to analyze how individuals experience their eating disorder, the focus being if anorexia may be perceived as a secure safe zone in the new modern world. The aim is to examine if individuals affected with anorexia nervosa understand the disorder as a solution to the modern worlds changes and the new individual freedom that it entails. This will be analyzed with the help of terms in Erich Fromms theories about escape mechanisms and Catarina Kinnvalls theories about the modern worlds ontological insecurity.The study is based on data collected from four informants of different ages and gender. The interviews were conducted through Email and informants were chosen based on a strategic selection and snowball sampling. For the analysis of the empirical material Fromms escape mechanisms (authoritarianism, destructiveness and automaton conformity) and Kinnvalls theories of identity in the modern world have been used.The results of the analysis show that the eating disorder has a great significance for the individual construction and maintenance of identity and that the eating disorder becomes a safe zone to retreat to in a world of performance anxiety.
En Djupdykning i Kommunikationsstrategi : om konsten att locka folk till svenska dykvatten
Purpose/Aim: To create a communication strategy for PADI Nordic with the intention of getting Swedish divers, who have been certified abroad, to Swedish dive centers.Material/Method: The study is based on a number of personal interviews conducted with a) divers who are active in Sweden, b) divers who are not active in Sweden and c) representatives from PADI and PADI affiliated dive centers.Main results: The main reason that people who have been certified abroad do not dive in Sweden is that they regard it as being too complicated, too cold, too expensive and with nothing interesting to see. These might partly be misconceptions that can be corrected through a communication strategic effort. The best way to change this perception is by two different forms of communication. One will go from PADI Nordic straight to the divers through an Email. This will have the purpose of getting their attention, making diving sound interesting and raise their awareness in preparation for the other part of the process.

Pekplattan leksak eller didaktiskt verktyg?
The information technique is developing at a fast pace and almost all new technique is being welcomed with opened arms. The newest on the market is the tablet device, it´s a device used for surfing the web, sending Email, watching movies and playing games. It is now also being used in some schools for educational purposes. My research goal has been to find out how the teachers feel about using the tablet device for educational purposes. I have conducted interviews to find the answers to my questions.

Syfte: Den här studien undersöker hur företaget Icehotel arbetar med marknadsföring samt vad som lockar turisten att besöka denna turistattraktion. Vi har valt att studera och forska närmare kring människans fem sinnen, vilket består av syn, ljud, lukt, smak och känsel.Metod: I denna studie arbetar vi med kvalitativa metoder. Vi har utfört en deltagande observation på plats för att kunna få en djupgående förståelse för hur de fem sinnena påverkas under vistelsen. En stor del av empirin består av information som vi har fått genom Email- och kvalitativa intervjuer. Det är sju informanter som har besvarat våra intervjufrågor.
Kultur med kvalitet i fokus : En beskrivande undersökning av totalkvalitetsstyrningens konsekvenser inom Riksteatern
Kraftiga minskningar av offentliga stöd till kulturfälten har idag resulterat i att intresset för det ekonomiska perspektivet inom kultur ökat, och förändrat synen på ekonomins roll inom kultur. Allt fler kulturverksamheter har börjat tillämpa metoder från det privata näringslivet. En av dessa kulturverksamheter är Riksteatern, som under åren 2006-2008 genomförde en helomfattande omorganisation där ordet kvalitet stod i fokus. För att kunna genomdriva en organisatorisk kvalitetsförbättring tog Riksteatern hjälp av ett koncept som främst använts inom näringslivet. Detta koncept går under namnet totalkvalitetsstyrning översatt från engelskans Total Quality Management (TQM) och handlar bland annat om att skapa en helhets syn på verksamheten i syfte att minska kostnader, osäkerheter och samtidigt förbättra kvaliteten.Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att beskriva och förklara konsekvenserna av att använda TQM i Riksteaterns omorganisation som påbörjades 2007.
Svenska expatriates i Japan : Stämmer teorin med verkligheten?
I takt med att globaliseringen har fört samman länder har företag tvingats att expandera utomlands för att kunna klara av den ökade konkurrensen från utländska företag. Det har i sin tur ökat betydelsen utav samarbetet mellan moderbolaget och dess dotterbolag. Expatriates skickas utomlands av sina företag av många anledningar, det kan vara för att föra in moderbolagets företagskultur till dotterbolag eller tillföra spetskompetens som dotterbolaget saknar. Anledningarna kan variera men det har blivit allt viktigare för företaget och expatriaten att se till att han/hon kommer in i samhället och jobbet på ett bra sätt. I den här uppsatsen har vi valt att jämföra teori och empiri för att se hur dess stämmer överens med varandra med hänseende till vilka problem som uppkommer när svenska expatriaten kommer till Japan.
