The gender theory of Judith Butler is based on both philosophical and psychoanalytic notions of the self. Although greatly inspired by both early and contemporary psychoanalytic thinking, Butler has also questioned some of its core notions such as the meaning of gender complementarity and conceptions of desire. In a dialogue in Studies in Gender and Sexuality she discusses these and other theoretical and ethical issues with the influential psychoanalyst and gender theorist Jessica Benjamin. The exchange is a unique example of an attempt at dialogue and theoretical reflection between a prominent contemporary gender theorist and psychoanalyst. It reveals disagreements and theoretical difficulties I will show to be directly attributable to radical differences between Butler's and Benjamin's conceptions of the self.

Bakgrunden till hur dessa skador har kunnat uppstå har studerats och ett laboratorietest med hänseende på frostskador på betong har genomförts. Skönlitterära texter bidrar till att definiera vilka sociala identiteter, och därmed könsroller, som är möjliga i samhället (Fairclough 2010:75). Undersökningen syftar till att medvetandegöra hur könsroller, och maktstrukturer mellan dessa, reproduceras genom den grammatiska kodningen av romanpersoner i spänningslitteratur.Genom en anpassad systemisk-funktionell transitivitetsanalys (Halliday 2004) undersöks mäns och kvinnors dynamiska potential, samt deras processers riktning och agentivitet. Därtill analyseras i vilken utsträckning män och kvinnor nyttjar talarutrymmet i texten.Materialet består av spänningssekvenser ur tre romaner av Camilla Läckberg, Stieg Larsson och Lars Kepler.Resultaten visar att kvinnor i processfördelningen framstår som mer dynamiska än män, men att mäns processer i större utsträckning riktar sig mot yttre deltagare och påverkar dessa. Kvinnor blir oftare föremål för andras processer och påverkas i lika stor mån som de själva kan påverka. Män dominerar även talarutrymmet.Slutsatsen blir att även om kvinnor framstår som mer dynamiska än män, framstår män som mer handlingskraftiga och förmögna till påverkan än kvinnor..

This study is intended to study how the social worker in financial assistance relates to the social workers exercise of its authority, regarding the Social Services Act and the Administrative Procedures Act. In concerning how the social worker treats and handles the cases of their clients, but also what significancethe organization's policies and goals have on the social worker?s role and the formation of their professional identity. To answer these questions the study chose a qualitative approach. Because the purpose of this study is to investigate the social worker?s personal beliefs about their way of conducting social work.

This essay is about democracy and how a democracy index can be used as a tool to illustratethe gap between reality and ideal. The purpose of this study can be expressed by two researchquestions: Does the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) democracy index illustrate thedistance between reality and the ideal of democracy presented by Dahl? and Can the EIU'sdemocracy index be modified by a) internal adjustments and b) using the variables includedin World Economic Forum?s (WEF) equality index?By using a combination of theories (Dahl?s theory of democracy, Rawls theory of justice andchosen theories critical to liberal democracy) as an analytical framework the following twoquestions have been answered:1) Which of the variables included in the EIU's democracy index have the potential to capturethe level of political equality?2) Which of the variables included in the WEF?s equality index have the potential to capturethe degree of political equality?By using a quantitative method the study?s third and last question has been answered:3) How strong is the rank correlation between the EIU?s democracy index and the WEF?sequality index, that is; how strong is the rank correlation coefficient (rho)?The data presented by the WEF?s equality index indicate that women are systematicallydiscriminated against as a group. From a democratic perspective the EIU may need tomeasure inequalities at a group level in order to capture the lack of political equality betweenindividuals. När vuxna personer med barn vänder sig till socialtjänsten för ansökan om ekonomiskt bistånd ska även barnens situation uppmärksammas och ett barnperspektiv ska intas vid handläggningen av dessa ärenden. Vår uppsats syftar till att, genom analys av 32 utredningar, undersöka huruvida socialtjänsten i Göteborgs Stad kan anses ha uppfyllt Socialtjänstlagens intentioner genom att utgå ifrån ett barnperspektiv i utredningar rörande hemlösa barn under år 2006. Vi utgår ifrån ett rättsligt perspektiv som innebär att vi närmare studerar hur några av våra rättsregler är utformade, för att sedan applicera den kunskapen på den fortsatta studien. Utifrån begreppen barnperspektiv och delaktighet vill vi undersöka i vilken grad barnen synliggörs i de aktuella utredningarna. Vi vill då veta hur användningen av ett barnperspektiv kännetecknas och vilka utsagor som visar att ett barnperspektiv har legat till grund för utredningarna.

An increased demand for processed goods on the property market has contributed toinvestments within the Swedish sawmill industry. The purpose with this study is to make amarket investigation of pre cut lengths within a defined geographic area. The constituent forthis investigation is HAL (AB Hilmer Andersson) who invests in a new plane facility and twofinger jointing machines in affiliation to their sawmill in Lässerud, the vest part of Värmland.To investigate the demand of pre cut lengths and identifies the value creating factors and costfactors which the customer within the segments industry and property market perceive, havedifferent customer value theories been used. Theories of customer value and the theory aboutoffering has been the source of creating the qualitative interview with a selection of currentand new potential customers for HAL.The result of the study first gives an introduction of HAL?s new offering and a description ofHAL?s current customers, which gives the reader an understanding of why searching for newcustomers is made in the defined area.

This paper is the result of a case study conducted at Uppåkra Mekaniska AB during the spring of 2006. The task that was presented by Uppåkra was to develop a basis for a decision for the planning activities at the company, so that in the future they can create lot-sizes which are based upon a total cost perspective. Total cost in regards to lot-sizing is defined as the sum of the administrative reordering costs and warehousing cost per stock keeping unit.To collect data a series of interviews and observations were conducted. This data was then used during the lot-sizing simulation and analysis. The 15 units that the simulation was conducted on were grouped into three item classes depending how many different machine setups they required during the production process.

Syftet med studien var att belysa Internet-webbsidans potential som kanal för hälsokommunikation kring primärprevention, med utgångspunkt från en webbaserad vaccinationskampanj mot livmoderhalscancer. Studien är empirisk med en kvalitativ ansats. Enkäter och semistrukturerade gruppintervjuer med halvöppna frågor har använts för att samla in data. Fjorton unga kvinnor i åldern 18-19 år på två gymnasieskolor i Stockholm deltog i studien. För att analysera data har innehållsanalys med manifest ansats används. Resultaten visar att kvinnorna hade olika attityder till, samt uppfattningar och upplevelser av den webbaserade hälsokommunikationen och olika förbättringsområden framkom.

Gåsproduktionen i Sverige har de senaste åren varit fallande i antal slaktade gäss, antalet uppfödare har också minskat i antal och i dagsläget återstår numera endast ett par större producenter. Det som är känt om produktionsformen och samtidigt nedskrivet i svensk litteratur är inte så omfattande. Vill man skaffa sig mer kunskap om produktionen får man vända sig till personer som är aktiva eller har varit verksamma inom uppfödningen för att få information. Marknaden för att sälja gäss är begränsad och är koncentrerad till främst Skåne. Trots att det är en liten marknad är där oftast brist varje år på svenskproducerad gås. Detta ger utrymme och möjlighet för både existerande och blivande producenter att ta bra betalt för sina gäss. Priset på gås som producenter fick varierade 2011 mellan 80-130 kronor per kilo slaktad vikt.

Drygt hälften av den svenska landarealen täcks av skog. Av denna areal ägs hälften av privata skogsägare och övrig areal av skogsbolag och det allmänna. Med detta menas att det är viktigt att intressenter tar mer ansvar inom aspekterna: miljö, socialt och ekonomi än den miniminivå som lager kräver.
