This thesis is based on thirteen qualitative interviews with civil servants and politicians. The purpose of the study is to research these informants? attitudes towards integration and their reflections about immigrants? lower chances in an ethnically segregated housing and labour market. The theoretical frame of references is based on social constructionism and focuses on including and excluding power structures. The empirical material provides both structural and cultural explanations to immigrants? problems as regards inclusion in Swedish society.

Overall aim of this master?s thesis is to describe and identify perceived barriers in Swedish businesses within solar energy field and analyze, based on four theoretical viewpoints, how these barriers can be handled. In other words how can the barriers be overcome or eliminated to better succeed in the commercialization process? The method applied is qualitative in which data has been collected through phone interviews originated from seven Cleantech businesses which operate within solar energy. Furthermore this thesis has a descriptive- and an explorative purpose.

The purpose of my study is to explore which possibilities there are for movement activities and how to use those possibilities. From this study, I will help the pedagogues recognize how to work more or different with movement activities.I have used participant observations and interviews as methods for my study. I did this at one preschool, because it is a development-study. The observations lasted for two weeks and the interviews were made with the majority of the pedagogues at the preschool.  The results of my study showed that the preschool teachers think that movement activities are an important part of children?s lives.

The role of the quality manager has evolved from being a quality controller to work with a more global business. Within many organizations in Sweden, however, the traditional role of the quality manager's remains and the tasks categorized as quality control still takes up most of the quality manager's time. The survey conducted as part of this master thesis shows that the quality manager in most businesses has multiple roles in addition to the role of quality manager, which can create a role conflict. One consequence of this is that each improvement is not given priority due to time constraints. Although the importance of a clear and committed leadership is the key for succeeding as the quality manager.

Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att unders?ka hur teater- och dramapedagogiska metoder kan anv?ndas i arbetet mot mobbning i skolmilj?. Genom en systematisk genomg?ng har 18 empiriska studier analyserats f?r att f? en djupare f?rst?else f?r metodanv?ndning, hur olika metoder p?verkar eleverna samt vilka begr?nsningar dessa metoder har i det praktiska arbetet. Resultatet visar att processdrama, forumteater och Creative Drama ?r de vanligast f?rekommande metoderna i det granskade materialet.

Over-investors ? a study of advanced language pupils in the upper secondary school.  The thesis examines the advanced study of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) from a sociological point of view, inspired by Bourdieu.  Founded in official statistics and a specially designed survey its main findings can be said to be that it is mainly pupils with a high amount of acquired educational capital from higher social backgrounds who avail themselves of this opportunity, predominantly girls. The amount of inherited language and transnational capital in the family seems to be of particular importance for the pupils? choice of advanced language studies. French, German and Spanish are the predominant languages of study.

Med den här uppsatsen vill jag belysa estetikämnenas roll och status i två grundskolor i en medelstor västsvensk stad. Jag vill även se i vilken mån de estetiska arbetsformerna praktiseras i skolornas vardag och i vilken mån lärarna anser sig ha nytta av styrdokumenten i detta arbete. För det här syftet har min metod blivit en enkätundersökning där pedagoger från de båda skolorna har fått besvara frågor kopplade till följande fyra estetiska arbetsformer: bild och form, drama, musik och dans. Resultaten redovisas utifrån tre kategorier: skola, ålder och yrkesgrupp. Vad som bland annat framkommit i undersökningen är att bilden är den arbetsform som tar upp mest tid och dansen den arbetsform som tar upp minst tid.

This project is a learning CD-ROM production aimed at first-time parents. It is using both sound and images, moving as well as non-moving. The purpose of the production is to be an interesting alternative to traditional books. We have been looking at similar productions like drivers license educational CD-ROMs and encyclopedias for inspiration and ideas on how to proceed. In order to give the content some dynamics, we've also added the element of 3D-animated sequences.

The present study deals with the importance of play for children's learning in preschool. The purpose is to investigate the importance of play for children's learning in preschool from a pedagogue?s perspective. The study is based on two issues: How does the pedagogue´s who were interviewed reason about the impact the play has on children's development? How does the pedagogue´s approach to make play a learning situation? The empirical data is based on semi-structured interviews with four preschool pedagogue´s.

This qualitative study examines if an interest in soccer can give the same meaningfulexperiences in a person's life as a religion would. Five soccer fans were interviewedregarding the meanings and impact of soccer in their lives. Two theories in the fields ofsport and religion were used to analyze the data: Antonovsky's sense of coherence (SOC)with its components meaningfulness, manageability and comprehensibility and Heelasand Woodheads "life-as" and "the subjective-life? derived from the concept "thesubjective turn". It was concluded that the interest in soccer affected the respondents?views of life.The respondents? personal identities were strongly associated with groupmembership, meaning that their interest in common with others was perceived to makeeveryday life meaningful and manageable.

The population growth and urbanisation in low-income countries bring issues of poor living standards and miserable sanitation conditions onto the agenda. If well-functioning waste management systems were developed, this could master some of the problems. The already existing local informal waste handling system that is common in many low-income countries, needs to be developed with proper sorting and composting solutions to decrease the environmental burden and improve the overall situation in the dense cities. This master?s thesis project is performed with the intention of developing functional decentralised waste management units in the city of Pune, India.

(Teachers views on special needs educational competence) Skolutveckling och ledarskap, Specialpedagogisk påbyggnadsutbildning, Lärarutbildning, Malmö högskola. Syftet med detta arbete är att beskriva och undersöka lärarnas syn på specialpedagogens arbete. Baserat på lärarnas arbetssituation i skolan vill jag undersöka hur man använder sig av specialpedagoger i dag och se vilka övriga önskemål och behov som finns. Med hjälp av en strukturerade intervjuer vill jag åskådliggöra lärarnas syn på specialpedagogens arbete. Sammanfattningsvis visar mitt resultat på att specialpedagogen är en viktig person i skolan. Att undervisa är vad lärare är vana vid att specialpedagogen gör.

Syftet med studien är att fördjupa kunskaperna om vilka matematiska aktiviteter ochuttrycksformer pedagogerna i förskolan använder sig av i planerade matematikaktiviteter.Utgångspunkt för undersökningen var uttrycksformerna som finns beskrivna i förskolansläroplan samt sex historiskt och kulturellt grundade matematiska aktiviteter.Syftet konkretiseras i följande frågeställningar:? Vilka matematiska aktiviteter och vilka uttrycksformer uppmuntras och stöds avpedagogerna i planerade matematikaktiviteter?? Vilka likheter och skillnader finns beroende på barnens ålder?För att få svar på dessa frågor genomfördes strukturerade observationer av planeradematematikaktiviteter på tre olika förskoleavdelningar. Barnens åldrar var 1-5 år och varjeavdelning observerades vid ett tillfälle under 45 minuter. Tekniker som användes vidgenomförandet av observationerna var papper, penna, kamera och videokamera.Studiens resultat visar att samtal och rörelse är de vanligast förekommande uttrycksformerna iplanerade matematikaktiviteter. Ingen pedagog använde sig av uttrycksformerna lek/drama ellerdans.

Business is changing and so are society?s expectations. Companies are expected to take responsibility for their trade and the context they are operating in, by looking at socially, economically and environmentally aspects. Many companies handle it by implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) to their line of action. This is often handled by collaborating with other organisations, such as non-governmental organisations.

Vårt intresse för integrering mellan ämnet svenska och de estetiska uttryckssätten har avgjort temat för denna rapport. Den syftar till att belysa pedagogers tankar kring sitt arbete med den ovan nämnda integreringen och deras vardagspraktik. Vi har frågat hur de tänker kring motivation, kreativitet och lärande, och har tagit del av deras beskrivningar kring vardagspraktiken. I läroplanen för de obligatoriska skolväsendet, förskoleklassen och fritidshemmet [Lpo94] står det att läsa att kunskap kan tas in genom olika arbetsformer i till exempel bild, drama, musik och dans. Vi har utgått från det sociokulturella perspektivet, där man anser att lärandet sker i samspel med andra.
