This essay deals with the rationale and aims for doing cultural or aesthetic activities and projects in schools, and gives special focus to a specific group of students, attending schools provided at special residential homes for young people (sa?rskilda ungdomshem). These homes receive young people with psychosocial and substance misuse problems and who show tendencies towards criminal behavior. The essay investigates how working with a cultural project in schools at these residential homes is justified and also elucidates how this specific group of students and their problems are constructed in the documents surrounding the project. The essay will further ponder over possible educational and pedagogical consequences of these constructions.The investigation has its theoretical frame work in curriculum theory.

Denna text vill ge en inblick i vad romansinterpretation är, och vilken roll man som pianist spelar i tolkningen av både text och musik. Den musikaliska utgångspunkten är sångcykeln ?Hjärtats sånger? av Gunnar de Frumerie, med texter av Pär Lagerkvist. För att kunna belysa så många sidor som möjligt av arbetet som romanspianist studerade jag in alla sex sånger med två sångare som har helt olika rösttyper: Åsa Lansfors Lindblom, en lyrisk sopran som främst sjunger romansrepertoar och Nils Guste?n, en bas som utbildar sig till operasångare.Varje sång i sångcykeln beskrivs dels utifra?n mina personliga tolkningar av texten och musiken, dels utifrån de diskussioner jag haft tillsammans med sångarna i övningsrummen.

Since the 1990?s the Swedish school system has undergone major and recurring structural reforms. Two of the most comprehensive changes has been the shift of primary schools as an integral part of the welfare state to the responsibility of the municipalities as well as the introduction of free school choice for the students. Through two months of participant observations and semi-structured interviews this thesis seeks to answer the question of how these reforms has come to effect the work of teachers in a medium sized public school in a small municipality in the outskirts of Stockholm. Earlier research has shown that public schools in socio-economically vulnerable areas are disadvantaged due to the reformation of the school system (Beach & Sernhede, 2011; Östh, Andersson, & Malmberg, 2013).

The aim of this study is to describe and examine the characteristics of inclusion of children with disabilities in the kinder garden and primary school in Belarus. The data in this study were collected through interviews with special teachers and staff at the Developing and Rehabilitation center. The interviews were supported by child-observations and a literature study. Staying in boarding schools prevents handicap students from integrating with the society as well as getting social experience. Integrated education demands the combination of two regularities: education of children with normal development and special education of children with psycho-physiological problems.

Jällaskolans upper secondary School is situated on a big farm just outside Uppsala. The School is focused on agriculture, forestry, gardening, animal care and science. Jällaskolans staff has whished for a school garden for educational purpose where students can practice their gardening skills and learn more about plants. But most important, a specially adapted outside environment such as a garden, would be a great advantage for the students with special needs. This garden could even be an asset for other visiting school classes in the region.

Estetiska inslag är något som elever möter i sitt dagliga liv genom bland annat teve, musik och reklambilder. Elever intresserar sig i musik, teater och dans med mera och detta kan vara en stor del av deras liv. Frågan är hur verksamma lärare förhåller sig till och arbetar med estetisk verksamhet, med tanke på att en stor del av barn och ungdomars tid tillbringas i skolan. Detta arbete är av didaktisk karaktär eftersom det behandlar hur lärare tänker och handlar i sin undervisning. Arbetet handlar om estetisk verksamhet, där vi innefattar formerna bild, musik, drama och rörelse, och hur dessa kan användas i skolans arbete av lärare.

This study investigates the difficulties that may arise for students as a consequence of differences that exist in mathematics education between different educational systems. The questions asked are when and why difficulties as a consequence of differences in writing or types of student problems may arise and in which way teachers and students attend to these difficulties. The focus is thus on the written parts of mathematics education and the questions are asked within the frame of general upper secondary education.In order to answer these questions, a sociocultural perspective based mainly on Sfard?s (2006) participationist theories together with Vygotsky?s (1999) general theories on development and learning is used. An important analytic tool is the discourse concept which in this context means a type of communication that brings some people together while excluding others from the communication.

AbstractA Problem to Every SolutionThe Corrymeela Community, René Girard and the ambiguous pluralismThe main purpose of this study is to examine how Girard´s ideas of society, culture andreligion have become part of the reflexion in the praxis of Corrymeela Community through the work of Roel Kaptein and how this praxis can shed light over the work with dissonances of faith and values in education in RE, Social Studies and other subjects.In earlier publications I have studied how dissonances of faith and values can beunderstood in educational settings and in connection with issues of interreligious dialogue.The extensive discussion of how differences in culture, religion and value in a pluralisticsociety are to be analysed and treated in pedagogical reflexion seems to increasingly occupyactors in different parts of the educational system. It is obvious that these issues also arebrought into focus as an important field of research. My main interest in this paper is to study how a reconciliation group in the middle of the conflict in Northern Ireland has developed a view of conflict reason and conflict resolution under the influence of the French researcher René Girard and what aspects of this study that can improve the reflection over pluralism and dissonances of faith and values in everyday praxis in education.For a period of more than a decade I have been in contact with actors in the peace process inNorthern Ireland in connection to different educational projects. The attempts to analyse the different aspects of ?The Troubles? and the efforts to find ways out of conflicts and civil war are many and the literature on subjects related to these tragic history of social, cultural and religious conflicts is difficult to survey.

Syftet med denna studie är att med en vetenskaplig kvalitativ metod undersöka hur avslappningsövningar upplevs av människor med diagnosen borderline. Uppsatsen är en empirisk studie med en kvalitativ undersökning. Undersökningen svar har bearbetats med en fenomenologisk ansats. Svaren från intervjuerna har bearbetats separat och sedan analyserats utifrån förda teorier. Min avsikt med den här uppsatsen är att försöka synliggöra hur olika variationer av en upplevelse kan te sig och om det trots olikheter kan finnas en stimulans för deltagarna att använda sig av avslappningsövningar. För att belysa och utforska problemet har jag använt mig av egna observationer för att kunna kort beskriva känsloläget i rummet innan övningen börjar.

I present previous resarch on this subject and I focused on docu drama and dramadoc. Bo G Jansson is the researcher I used most frequently in this essay. In modern leadership research, leadership is often viewed as a social construction, and under this paradigm various researchers let the media play a central role in constructing leadership. Meanwhile, the question of how the media actors do this is left unanswered. We explore the question of how and why the media construct leadership, from the vantage point of the media actors themselves, and the conditions they work under. Different mechanisms for media construction of leadership are identified in previous research. Through interviews with business journalists at Veckans Affärer, we find recognition for some of the explanatory mechanisms: namely that personification of a CEO facilitates the work of journalists (and sells papers), that personal drama captures reader demand, and that the CEO of a listed company consciously cultivates his or her personal parallel self.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the understanding of the diagnoses ADHD and DAMP within different professional categories in the educational system, how it is being addressed and how this affect their work with children diagnosed with ADHD or DAMP. We also wanted to shed some light on the debate between Kärfve and Gillberg, about whether the diagnoses of ADHD and DAMP are social constructed problems or biological and genetic disorders. More specifically, our study was of a qualitative nature and consisted of interviews with seven persons working in six different professions within the educational system. The respondents all worked in school environments but with varied roles and thus varied experience of children with ADHD/DAMP. The interviews and literature studies revealed the complexity of ADHD and DAMP and also the diversity of the debate regarding the diagnoses.

This study departs from the observation that since the late 1980´s educational programmes for curators have been established and since then expanded greatly. The programmes are part of a process of institutionalization and professionalization of the role of the curator within the international contemporary art field where the role as such has gained much power. Even though many statements have been made about this relatively new phenomenon of curatorial studies, there is a lack of sufficient research. The intention of this study is therefore to examine the educational programmes as such. The selection of 15 programmes has been made with the purpose to include early as well as newly established and to cover a wide geographic area.

I denna uppsats undersöks rollspelets potential att motverka diskriminering och förtryck i förtryckande regimer. Jag tar avstamp i de mänskliga rättigheterna och i dramapedagogikens essens och styrkor. Jag beskriver Youngs diskrimineringsteorier, samt Freire och Boals pedagogiska teorier om den frigörande teaterns styrkor och syften, och presenterar en intervju om rollspelsanvändande mot kvinnoförtryck i Iran. I analysen söker jag samband mellan de olika tillvägagångssätten i användning och syfte med rollspel utifrån materialet och presenterar mina slutsatser; rollspel i förtryckande regimer kan leda till sammanhangsskapande, frigörelse från inre förtryck, och medvetengörande för individ och grupp om hur man kan skapa en dialog om förtryck..
