These homes receive young people with psychosocial and substance misuse problems and who show tendencies towards criminal behavior. This study is a comparative study of the occurrence and function of information literacy in the curricula of the Swedish and Bavarian Gymnasium and investigates the occurrence of the term ?information literacy? and shows through what other linguistic means the notion of information literacy is expressed in the curricula. The study also wishes to analyze how the notion of information literacy manifests itself in the different school systems. Relevant textual passages of both curricula are compared to each other through the theoretic lens of Bruce?s phenomenographic model of information literacy.

The intention of this paper was to study the integration between the students from the introductory class, and the students from a regular class. The school we studied called Arlanda Gymnasium. Where we did a study on what the municipality and the school makes for students at the school to be integrated with each other. And what the school does to achieve the educational goals set. We will also see if the school and the municipality meet and comply with criteria such as school work places.

The Regional State Archive in Uppsala [Landsarkivet i Uppsala] has several archives left from various types of educational institutions in the counties of Dalarna, Södermanland, Uppsala, Västmanland and Örebro. This archiv-al guide reveals the main content of some of the school archives. It goes through the archives of the elementary school, state secondary grammar schools and private secondary grammar schools. A few special schools for the blind and the deaf children are included. Syftet med denna studie var att studera hur yrkesverksamma lärare i förskolan, och lärare i skolans tidigare år, resonerar kring och uppfattar kreativt arbete kopplat till verbal språkutveckling. För att nå detta syfte gavs enkätintervjuer ut till tio stycken lärare i vardera av dessa två yrkesgrupper. När dessa sammanfattats gjordes en jämförelse med bakgrunden för att se hur lärarnas uppfattningar relaterades till tidigare forskning i ämnet. Resultatet visade att de flesta lärarna arbetar medvetet med kreativitet och verbal språkutveckling kopplat till varandra och att de hade flera idéer om hur man arbetar på detta vis. Slutsatser vi dragit utifrån detta är att lärare är medvetna om hur kreativitet kan användas för att stödja språkutvecklingen och att de försöker arbeta på så vis..

Under de senaste åren har sponsringsintäkter ökat i världen. Sett i monetära tal utgör sponsring den näst största delen av företagens investeringar i marknadsföring. Sponsring är inget nytt fenomen utan har pågått länge och traditionellt sett är det sportrelaterade personer och evenemang som tar emot den största andelen sponsring. De arrangemang som däremot ökar mest i Sverige är kulturella evenemang. Samma trend syns inte i sponsorintäkterna utan dessa har den lägsta tillväxten när det kommer till kulturella evenemang. På flera ställen runt om i världen talas det om kulturell tillväxt, att med hjälp av kultur utveckla samhället.

Utgångspunkten för vår uppsats har varit att undersöka skönlitterära böckers värde i SO-undervisningen och se på vilket sätt dessa kan användas särskilt i religions-undervisningen. För att få våra frågeställningar besvarade har vi använt oss av kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra lärare, facklitteraturstudier samt orienterat oss i skönlitterär ungdomslitteratur. Några huvudargument för att använda skönlitteratur i SO-undervisningen, som framkommit vid intervjuer och litteraturstudier, är att skönlitteraturen förmedlar förståelse för det främmande och kan hjälpa eleverna att finna sin identitet. Ur resultatet framgår att de intervjuade lärarna främst bearbetar litteraturen genom diskussion och reflektion, men också med andra metoder som till exempel drama- och värderingsövningar. Det vi bland annat har kommit fram till är att användandet av skönlitteratur berikar undervisningen när fakta levandegörs då den sätts i ett narrativt sammanhang..

The states, built on contract theories, have an obligation to protect its citizens from the state of nature which seems to have failed as globalization has changed the rules.The purpose of this dissertation is to examine the contract theories of Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and John Rawls to identify the elements of a state and create a modern and ideal contract theory. The treaty shall then be used on the Treaty of Lisbon as it can be seen as a contract between the European states to create an entity in the shape of the European Union with the power to defend Europe from the unrest created by globalization.My question for this was as follows:Is the new treaty for the European Union acceptable as a new social contract according to the social contract theories?During my research the following criteria?s for a social contract was found:1.

Syftet med min studie är att undersöka vad som sker i ett kooperativt lärande. Jag har initierat ett utvecklingsprojekt tillsammans med barn och pedagoger i en F-1klass. (förskoleklass och förstaklass integrerat). Under en femveckorsperiod har klassen arbetat med ett ämnesöverskridande projekt som inkluderar ämnena matematik, dans/musik, svenska, drama och bild. Pedagogerna har dokumenterat det som hänt med hjälp av film, foto och anteckningar. Tillsammans har vi haft fokus på frågan; Vad händer i ett kooperativt lärande? Det empiriska materialet består av intervjuer/samtal utifrån tre pedagogers och sju barns uppfattningar om kooperativt lärande. Resultatet visar att det är betydelsefullt att arbetet organiseras småskaligt.

This two years master?s thesis is a review and exploration of the Swedish debate concerning children?s literature from the 19th century to the present, as well as the evaluation and analysis of four adaptations of the tale Red Riding Hood. The aims are to identify how ideas and values regarding the role of children?s literature in society have developed over time and to contribute with a knowledge base for continued reflection and discussion on the subject of children?s reading and mediation of children?s literature in public libraries.The theory and method used in the thesis, is primarily based on the discourse analysis of Michel Foucault. I have identified four main discourses: the educational discourse, the liberation discourse, the politicized dis- course and the popular discourse.

This paper attempts to trace the journey of Adonis from ancient Mesopotamia, through Phoenicia and finally to Greece, and to see how his function and cult have evolved during this migration. It starts with a short summary of previous research regarding Adonis and goes on to describe the myths and the rites of Adonis as they were celebrated in Alexandria, Byblos and Athens. I then examine possible connections to ritual drama, the mystery religions and whether there is any evidence that the Adonia might have been a germination ritual.My conclusions are that Adonis loses his connection to the growing cycle and the ideology of sacred kingship with the move to Greece where the political system with independent city states is different, and that there has been too much focus on Adonis as a vegetation god. Since Adonis is connected with the ancient Near Eastern cults of sacral kingship it might be more rewarding to consider the death aspects associated with his cult and the possibility of ancestral worship in relation to a ruler. This would make some of the otherwise puzzling aspects of his cult more understandable..
