Syftet med uppsatsen är att empiriskt testa om det går att få överavkastning jämfört med MSCI Europe index, med hjälp utav rekommendationsestimat hämtat från FactSet databas. Vald tidsperiod är mellan den 31/10/2002 och den 31/10/2006. Utifrån detta vill författaren se om det går att avgöra hur effektiv marknaden/prissättningen är. Strategin är att använda sig utav Buy, Overweight, Hold, Underweight och Sell estimat och köpa in dessa rekommendationer i fem lika stora portföljer. (20% av MSCI Europe:s marknadsvärde i varje portfölj.) Rebalansering sker vid behov på månadsbasis efter rådande estimat.

As most developed countries Norway has an ageing population meaning that the number of pensioners is predicted to grow rapidly over the coming years. As a consequence the Norwegian pension system will not be able to provide for these future pensioners. Meanwhile, a rising number of early retirees and disability pension claimants is diminishing the real retirement age. Also the individual pension amount is growing while the pension system itself reaches maturity. In short, major reforms are needed in the Norwegian pension system.

The aim of this study has been to examine if an implementation of a One Stop Shop in the public sector and its IT-support can serve as a motor for business development. By examine the relation between the One Stop Shop and the public administrations we have tried to answer this question. The municipality that we have examined underwent a big change, seven years ago, when they implemented a One Stop Shop including a IT-support called Flexite. But despite these seven years and the fact that Flexite has changed approach from a Case Management System to a Support System for Business Development the municipality have not adapted to this change. .

Foreseeing future changes in economic activity is of up most importance to a wide array of actors. The time lag in the presentation of official GDP statistics means that to somewhat accurately capture a tendency of where the business cycle is heading one need turn to qualitative sentiment indicators such as Purchasing Managers? Index (PMI) and official sentiment indicators for valuable clues. This thesis uses in-sample and out-of-sample methods to evaluate how well PMI and official Business Tendency Surveys (BTS) in Sweden and Denmark fair against the year-on-year growth rate of industrial production. Moreover, various Swedish regional sentiment indicators get examined and a case study of the indicator for the Öresund region is performed.

The purpose of the literature review was to examine barriers and facilitators to life style changes experienced by patients with coronary heart disease. This knowledge could be of use to the nurse in her role as a support to the patient in the process of life style change. The result from this study shows that family support, knowledege about the disease and motivation are important factors when changing life style behaviors..

Abstract Children with neuropsychiatric disorders often require special arrangements from the society. These measures could target the child itself, its parents, or other parts of the social network surrounding the child. Parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders are often deeply engaged both in their child and in these measures.Three parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders, and four counselors in different habilitation centers, were interviewed. The purpose of this qualitative interview study was to describe the methods with which the counselors worked to support parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders, and to understand how the parents experienced this support offered by the counselors.The qualitative interviews with counselors and parents followed a thematic interview guide. A structured interview form was used.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate if a dynamic investment strategy on the Swedish asset market can accomplish better returns then a static investment strategy. The dynamic investment strategy is created by incorporating business cycle predictors and firm-level variables to predict future stock returns. The predictive regression is calculated wih 60 months of observation (1999 01-2005 12) and is then used to estimate future returns for 23 months in the period 2004 01 -2005 11. The structure of the regression, with linear functions of ? and ?, goes back to Shanken (1990) and Avramov and Chordia (2005) has had success with the variables chosen.

Uppsatsen behandlar hur konsumtionen av läkemedel påverkas av patientavgifter för läkemedel. Närmare undersöks om det finns olika effekter i olika samhällsgrupper och hur dessa kan förklaras. Empiriska studier från Sverige, USA och Storbritannien används för att besvara frågeställningarna. Den teoretiska bakgrunden presenterar individens nytta av hälsa och hur hälsa produceras. Vidare är individen begränsad av tid och pengar i sin konsumtion och påverkas av moral hazard och asymmetrisk information.

Två företag, konkurrenter på en duopolmarknad, undersöks under ett antal förenklande antagande för att finna jämviktsbeteende. Företagen antas förutom pris ha möjlighet att konkurrera genom att erbjuda produkter differentierade i två horisontella dimensioner. En tolkning är att företagen konkurrerar genom pris och lokalisering i en tvådimensionell stad. Av intresse är främst optimal grad av differentiering. Från genomgången litteratur står det klart att Nashjämvikten består av minimal differentiering i en dimension och maximal differentiering i den andra, samt pris som bestäms direkt av en transportkostnadskoefficient.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att utreda den föreslagna kriminaliseringens effekt på Sveriges nuvarande eftergiftsprogram samt undersöka dess effektivitet trots avsaknad av ett kronvittnesförfarande. Vidare avser uppsatsen att undersöka om kriminaliseringens effekter kan påverkas. För att utröna kriminaliseringens effekter har VD: n få en central roll i uppsatsens modell, då det endast är han som berörs av ett individuellt straffansvar och ej företaget i sig. För att utreda syftet har författarna nyttjat spelteori samt studerat det inträdesbeslut VD:n står inför. Resultatet påvisade att det är ej möjligt att införa ett kriminaliseringsförfarande, som förvisso ökar den avskräckande effekten, utan att samtidigt delvis äventyra eftergiftsprogrammets angivareffekt.

Sedan friskolornas start har skolmarknaden utvecklats och numera existerar det ett flertal variationer av organisationsformer samt driftsformer på den Svenska marknaden. Teorin redogör för ett antal styrande incitament som är av betydelse för icke-vinstdrivande skolors existens, vilka främst har observeras i skolor utanför Sverige. Baserat på olikheter mellan länder såsom Sverige och USA aktualiseras frågan om incitamenten kan appliceras på den svenska friskolemarknaden. En kvalitativ studie har genomförts med två friskolor i Stockholmsområdet där jag har sökt svar på uppsatsens centrala fråga; om incitamenten bakom icke- vinstdrivande skolor i teorin stämmer överens med realiteten? Resultatet antyder att skillnaden mellan vinstdrivande och icke-vinstdrivande friskolor ej är av den karaktären som teorin påvisar.

By combining theories and empirics regarding the health care market, competition and profit, a deeper understanding of the aspects important for the chosen subject, is created. Combined with official reports and the new legislation, an analysis is formed.

Med regressionsanalys undersöks systematisk kovarians på den svenska aktiemarknaden under perioden 1997 ? 2006. Först skattas branschindexens känslighet för olika riskfaktorer, skattningarna används för att skapa en varians-kovariansmatris. Utvärdering sker genom att vikterna för en global minsta variansportfölj beräknas med hjälp av den skattade varians-kovariansmatrisen.
