Det är en ständigt pågående debatt om huruvida belöningssystem fungerar som motivationsinstrument eller inte. Många, främst inom den psykologiska skolan, är kritiska till belöningssystem, trots detta finns de i alla organisationer. Kan denna förekomst förklaras av att det finns en annan skola, den ekonomiska, som är det dominerande synsättet hos företag? Syftet med denna uppsats är att ställa den psykologiska skolans motivationsuppfattning emot den ekonomiska i en analys, och utifrån denna se om det går att dra slutsatsen att det ekonomiska tankesättet är det som dominerar och därmed ge en förklaring till varför belöningssystem förekommer som motivationsverktyg i ett företag. För att kunna utreda detta har vi valt att göra en fallstudie på företaget Tempur och dess säljare, samt tagit hjälp av teorier ur såväl den psykologiska motivationsuppfattningen, Maslow och Herzberg, som den ekonomiska, economic man.

The purpose of this study was to illustrate how cuts as a result of the economic crisis in 2008-2013 affected the newcomers' situation and the possibilities to reach the requirements for knowledge, based on the area manager, principals' and teachers' perspectives.The material we used for the study was made up of semi-structured interviews. We interviewed a psychologist, an area manager, principals and teachers. Most of the interviews were face to face and were recorded on a Dictaphone which we later transcribed and analyzed. During the process, we focused on the following aspects: acceptance and introduction support for new pupils, local opportunities and work material opportunities, school organization and employment structure, and reaction in the form of protests and demonstrations on restructuring the affected schools as a result of the cuts.The result that has emerged is that the teachers' main problem was the large increase in workload. The supervisors took no account whatsoever of protests and demonstrations organized in the affected area.

Other theories used are agency theory, stewardship theory and economic man.Purpose: The purpose of this essay is to analyze the new directions for variable compensation and to investigate if these new directions can lead to a more long-term thinking for managers in banks. Method: We used semi-structured interviews with open questions for our survey.

Den övergripande frågeställningen i uppsatsen utgörs av att utröna vilka risker och förtjänster som är kopplade till ett ökat användande av marknadsmekanismer, i form av B/U-modell, konkurrens, valfrihet och alternativa driftsformer, som styrsystem inom akutsjukvården i den s.k. Stockholmsmodellen. Hur påverkas de olika aktörernas agerande vad avser mål om att åstadkomma kostnadseffektivitet, kvalitetsutveckling, ändamålsenliga prioriteringar samt kostnadskontroll? Resultatet av studien är att det föreligger stora tveksamheter kring om det skapats en intern sjukvårdsmarknad i enlighet med de ambitioner som ställdes upp vid införandet. Idag sker istället en återgång mot tidigare styrformer.

The argumental analysis exemplifies the nationalistic tendencies of Vladimir Vladimirovitj Putin and the Russian foreign actions and attempts to specify a nationalistic motif in the case of Crimea and in Russian foreign policy. Majoriteten av världens extremt fattiga bor i rurala områden och 300 miljoner av dem i Indien och Kina. Trots att länderna kommit en bit på vägen i sin strukturella omvandling arbetar fortfarande runt hälften av befolkningen på landsbygden inom jordbruket. De direkta och indirekta effekterna som den primära sektorn skapar har visat sig viktiga av olika anledningar. Hur detta kommer sig undersöks närmare i denna uppsats som är en litteraturstudie om rural fattigdom och jordbrukssektorn roll för att minska denna i Indien och Kina. Dessutom kommer även den makroekonomiska politik som förts i länderna samt andra jordbruksspecifika faktorers inverkan på sektorn att granskas.

Sustainable urban development is a concept that has become increasingly important as the urbanization continues and more and more challenges are focused to the cities.  The Swedish government and authorities regulates and sets goals for how a sustainable urban development is to be achieved. These laws and goals are vaguely defined, which leads to disputes between the actors about how the term should be interpreted. By examining Västermalms Strand, an urban development project in Stockholm, this study strives to describe how involved actors interpret the concept of sustainable urban development and what the consequences of this are for urban development in Stockholm from an ecological, social and economic perspective. A case study has been carried out where a document study and interviews have been conducted. The interviews were conducted with four key actors from the private and public sector.

ABSTRACT Poverty, and in particular child poverty, is a serious social problem. Statistics show that the number of children living in poverty has increased over the last ten years. Earlier research shows that there are huge gaps in our knowledge of how the actors in civil society handle child poverty. With this study we hope to help fill this gap. The aim of our study is to look at how four different organisations working in the civil society in Uppsala perceive and handle child poverty.

Trots att den Europeiska Unionen tillhör ett av de rikaste områdena i världen så finns det stora skillnader i inkomster och möjligheter både mellan och inom medlemsländerna. Vi har försökt undersöka vilken inverkan den europeiska integrationen EU fått på BNP-fördelningen inom regioner mellan EU:s medlemsländer, det vill säga om regionerna divergerat eller konvergerat med varandra. Vi utgår ifrån två krafter: den agglomererande som genom urbanisering etc drar kapital och ekonomisk verksamhet till ländernas centrum, och EU:s regionalpolitik som genom olika stödprojekt fördelar åtskilliga miljarder till de BNP mässigt svagare regionerna. För att kunna fördjupa arbetet fick vi begränsa antalet länder till fyra, i hopp om att kunna dra generella slutsatser för hela EU. På grund av dess olikheter valdes Belgien, Italien, Spanien och Sverige.

Zakrisdal and the west coast region of Karlstad was at one time a protected area where the ammunition factory AmF Zakrisdal 1941-1994 was situated. This factory manufactured explosives for the Swedish armed forces and for export. In this context it is an interesting paradox that the production of ammunition, mines and armorpiercing grenades for more than 50 years has preserved the environment surrounding the factory.The factory is now gone and the production is moved to Karlskoga. Plans are being made to build housing for 3-4000 residents and other enterprises within the area. The area now stands before yet another change, most likely the most profound to date.The inspiration for this work comes from the economic historic Jan Jörnmark.

This essay is essentially an analytical comparison of economic and democratic values.
