Research in the FMCG sector shows that in-store atmosphere has a great impact on customer attitude and behavior. Despite this, there is a lack of knowledge regarding how the atmosphere influences the customer in a fashion store setting. The purpose with this paper is to investigate if and how visible in-store atmospherics influence customer attitude and behavior in a fashion store setting. We also investigate if behavior and attitude is affected by the customer's expertise and the purpose of the visit. The study takes place in two different fashion stores within the same fashion chain.

The problem partly consists of estimating the demand at an IPO and also to accurately value the business in comparison to the market. To set the price per share is problematic, since the company carrying out the public offering wants to optimise the amount of capital at the same time as they want the share to be subscribed in full. If the IPO would not be carried out, it could cause harm to the position of the underwriters. Purpose: To investigate whether underpricing exists associated with IPO:s on the Swedish market during the period 1995-1999. Method: The collection of data has been achieved by means of: Internet, E-mail and telephone calls. Conclusions: We have reached the conclusion that oversubscribing in comparison to the return at an IPO has an average growth of 3.3 per cent the first day, on every occasion of oversubscribing. For the studied population, including 138 initial public offerings, the average market value rise is 15 per cent the first day. When we made our calculations, adjustments have been made for the general index of Affärsvärlden (AFGX).

Vargar hålls i fångenskap på djurparker och olika forskningsanläggningar för att man vill bedriva forskning och utbilda djurparksbesökare. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka om vargars beteende skiljer sig åt i fångenskap och i det vilda. Vargar har ett stort register av beteenden som innehåller allt ifrån förflyttning, jakt, lek, parning, valpuppfödning och hierarki. Vilda vargflockar består av familjeenheter med ett föräldrapar och deras icke-könsmogna avkommor medan vargflockar i fångenskap ofta består av ihopsatta individer som inte är besläktade med varandra. Detta medför att hierarkin ser olika ut i fångenskap gentemot i frihet.

Intangible assets are often a significant part of Swedish companies? assets. Most of these are accounted for as goodwill, arising from acquisitions. After EU:s decision to adopt IFRS as the new accounting standard, intangible assets will to a larger extent be recognized separated from goodwill. This thesis aims to quantify this change and to analyze what specific intangibles are affected most by the transition to IFRS.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur små företag använder sina konkurrensfördelar gentemot andra företag samt hur små företags användning av konkurrensverktyg kan beskrivas Uppsatsen bygger på en fallstudie på ett mindre företag inom smyckesbranschen. För att samla in data genomfördes en intervju med Pearlshop AB. Genom intervjun visade det sig att fallstudieobjektet inte använde sig av några specifika strategier för att vara så konkurrens- kraftiga som möjligt på sin marknad.

The chosen task in this thesis is to compare two projects of importance on the impact on the approach to graffiti in Norrköping and Göteborg. My main source for empirical findings was interviews. I have examined the Norrköping project Canslit including legal graffiti walls and a graffiti school and the political process around it. This was compared to the Göteborg project kulturprojekt Röda Sten, which is a cultural center that happens to be covered in illegal graffiti. The conclusion was that due to the very detailed plans and well-functioning communications between actors in the Norrköping project, this has resulted in a creative, tolerant approach to graffiti still with low rate of illegal graffiti.

Abstract Engdahl, S & Pobiega, M (2008). Lekobservation för att upptäcka matematik i förskolan. Malmö: Lärarutbildningen, Malmö Högskola Examensarbetet handlar om hur barns erfarenheter av matematik kan upptäckas i deras lek genom videoobservation. Vår undersökningsgrupp har bestått av en förskoleavdelning med 22 barn och en av deras pedagoger. Syftet med examensarbetet är att ta reda på hur man kan upptäcka matematiken i barns lek och vilken form av matematik det är samt hur pedagogens roll ser ut i relation till innehållet i barns lek. De frågeställningar som vi har utgått från är: Ser vi och pedagogen matematik i leken? Vad är det för form av matematik vi och pedagogen hittar i barnens lek? De metoder vi använt oss av är videoobservation och kvalitativ intervju.

Hedge funds have the past few years become an increasingly popular investment alternative and in the last decade hedge fund assets managed have quadrupled to USD 2000 billion, a growth rate of around 25-30% per year. One explanation for this substantial increase is that hedge funds' minimum limits on capital invested has declined, which have made ??them available to retail investors. The recent turmoil in financial markets has also contributed to investors finding their way to hedge funds, whose goal is to generate stable returns regardless of how the market develops.Using Sharpe?s, Treynor?s and Jensen's performance measures, I have investigated whether hedge funds manage to generate higher risk-adjusted returns than traditional managed funds.

We were assigned to do this master thesis by Husqvarna AB who at the time for this thesis just had implemented a new material and production planning system called Replenishment system. Husqvarna AB wanted us to examine the effects of their new planning system to see if it was profitable or not. Husqvarna AB had for a time considered their delivery and supplier service to bee their biggest problem and they wanted to solve this problem by improving the communication with all involved actors in the logistic chain, which they hoped would result in a better mix of products in their warehouses. The aim of this report was therefor to analyze eventual effects for Husqvarna AB when changing from a traditional material- and production planing system to a more information intensive one. The result of this report showed effects on decreasing administrational routines and improved flexibility and lead-times.

The background to the study was that the school agency published a report stating that students, after completing school, did not meet the criteria to receive the grade ?Pass? in mathematics. The study presents the reasoning of work teams from five different preschool departments?, about ways to work with the subject with children in the ages four to five. The study may help future teachers to develop new attitudes regarding mathematics in the preschool, by letting them take part of others pedagogues? thoughts and experiences.

Inertia is often described as an unavoidable state that organisations reach when they grow to a certain size. Theorists present a number of different phenomenons, which together create the foundation for inertia. This study deals with the apparent resistance that appears among the large Nordic betting companies with regards to establishment on the electronic sports (eSports) market. The analysis is based on how the old phenomenon inertia takes place in young and seemingly flexible industries. This area has received limited coverage in current theory on inertia.

The purpose of this study is to describe melanotic tumours and the pathogenesis of these tumours. The focus of this study is on differences between benign and malignant tumours as well as the prognosis one may expect when diagnosing this disease. The mechanisms responsible for the occurrences of the tumours are not yet fully understood. It is believed that factors such as chronic trauma, infections, medications and hormones affect the cell mechanisms in some way. Determinants of the malignancy of the tumour are not completely known.

The purpose of this thesis is to look into the knowledge city concept and the preferences and requirements of companies on such a city. Furthermore, suggestions of ideal conditions in a knowledge city are proposed. The thesis has been conducted through a qualitative approach where a deductive procedure has been implemented. In order to examine knowledge cities, Barcelona has sketchily been looked at as an early example of a knowledge city, whereas a more exhaustive observation of Copenhagen was conducted. Since the concept of knowledge cities is a rather new phenomenon, models from several disciplines constitute the theoretical framework.

Internetövervakning har under senaste tiden blivit ett aktuellt ämne i media. Det rapporteras bland annat om att företag som samlar in information om privatpersoner. Datan som samlas in kan innehålla information om användares beteende på internet såsom besökta sidor, sökhistorik, aktivitet på sociala medier med mera. Men hur mycket av detta vet en vanlig användare om? Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur medvetna privatpersoner är om internetövervakning som bedrivs av företag och den datainsamling som den bygger på.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur Scania hanterar försörjningen av elektroniska styrenheter under sina produkters livslängd och hur de hanterar relationen med de leverantörer som de köper styrenheter av. Som teoretisk grund har en etablerad relationsmodell och försörjningsmetoder inhämtade från flygindustrin använts. För att besvara frågorna har tre intervjuer genomförts. Två gjordes med anställda på Scania och den tredje med Bosch, en underleverantör till Scania. Det vi kommit fram till är att:? Det finns inte ett enda sätt att hantera tillgången av komponenter.
