Companies acquiring ERP systems are often dissatisfied with the project and therefore consultancy firms wish to make use of project models in order to achieve success in implementations. Since research on ERP implementations in service companies is limited, there is a need for mapping of critical activities in implementation projects in this line of business. Under these premises, the purpose of our master thesis is to develop a model for implementation of ERP systems, specified in activities, which can be used by mid-sized consultancy firms with mid-sized qualified service companies as customers.A literature study including project models, modern models and methodologies for ERP implementation, commonly existent activities, success factors and system development methods was carried out. Starting out with this, a theoretical model for ERP implementation was generated. In excess of this, a case study was conducted, where the implementation of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics AX at the service company Eurostep, performed by the consultancy firm Medius, was studied.

The aim with this study was to examine which information sources are used by the librarians in the process of changing automated library system and why. Furthermore it was of interest to examine whether there are any correlations between variables environment, information quality, information availability, information need and information sources. I used a quantitative method that was carried out in form of a nationwide survey. Questionnaires were sent out to all the Swedish libraries that had change library systems sometime between the years 2000.

This study examines the effects of a person's appearence on grading. 80 teachers in Swedish have assessed a text, illustrated with a picture of the supposed author. The pictures were varied by attractiveness, personality in looks, and gender. Furthermore, a text illustrated by a drawing and an unillustrated text were also used in the study. The texts were sent to the teachers by e-mail and assessed on a scale from 1-10 and the Swedish grading scale IG-MVG (Did not pass ? Passed ? Passed with credit - Passed with great credit).

E-handelskunder vill ha möjlighet att handla snabbt och direkt oavsett tidpunkt eller plats. Därför är integration mellan e-handel och affärssystem viktigt för en lyckad e-handelslösning. Detta känner de flesta företag till och idag är inte tekniken något större problem. Att företag trots detta inte integrerar systemen beror på verksamhetsbaserade orsaker. De stora kostnader som integrationen i initialskedet medför anges också som ett skäl till att systemen inte integreras, kunskap saknas om de långsiktiga vinster som integrationen ger.

Moisture damage in buildings is a serious issue that leads to problematic consequences and high economic costs. Despite the knowledge and awareness existing about moisture problems, extensive damager still occurs today. Studies of moisture in the exterior wall constructions shows that the issue if often caused by rain and water intrusion. These kinds of problem result in major costs usually because the companies have to replace the material and structural components and also in some cases tear down large parts of the buildings.The work includes moisture theory and descriptions of four different exterior wall constructions, wood stud wall with plastered facade, exterior wall with wood facade, exterior wall with concrete, and exterior wall with brick facade. Our thesis work describes how the constructions are affected and moisture damage due to water intrusion.

A Study of the Swedish Press Views on the Health Insurance Reform in the USA? The purpose of this essay is partly to examine whether the picture that Swedish press presents of the health insurance reform in the US, which is part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Act bill, will be of crucial importance to the possibilities that the American population has to receive health insurance. The main research question is accordingly: ?Does the picture that Swedish press presents of the health insurance reform in the USA, seem like something that will be of radical importance to the possibilities of the population to receive healthcare?? The purpose is also to examine in which model (demand or market) the opinions of the Swedish press fits. This purpose will be answered by using three specific questions asking whether their opinions differ when it comes to three criterions: organization, financing/resources and delivery systems.

This thesis has identified and studied measures to allow for reduced use of electricity in a waste incineration plant in western Sweden. The energy extracted from the waste at the powerplant is utilized and sold in form of electricity and heat. Technical and environmentally the combined heat and power plant is by today's standards among the leading waste incineration plants in the world. The owners are constantly striving to improve the efficiency of the waste incineration plant. They have seen the opportunities for savings in reducing internal usage of electricity.

Att starta och bilda ett företag är inte alltid det lättaste. Vissa gör det utan några problem medan andra stöter på hinder och problem. I denna studie kommer de vanligaste hindren och problemen som entreprenörer stöter på att identifieras. Detta för att underlätta för andra personer som står i tur att starta företag. Syftet är att undersöka vilka hinder och problem som upplevs av de som startar nytt aktiebolag, samt undersöka hur entreprenören gjort för att undvika eller lösa dessa.

Det har byggts många rondeller under senare delen av 1990-talet och början av 2000-talet för att skapa bättre trafikmiljöer, minska fördröjningar och öka flexibiliteten i korsningar. I cirkulationsplatser med hög belastning och ojämna flöden kan det dock uppkomma en del problem. Ett av dessa problem kan vara att stora överordnade flöden genom rondeller blockerar trafik från mindre infarter så att långa köer bildas. I denna rapport analyseras olika åtgärder, som införandet av trafiksignaler och förändrad utformning, för att se om förbättringar är möjliga. Examensarbetet har lett till en god inventering och ökad kunskap kring problematiken kring cirkulationsplatser.Presentationen av examensarbetet är uppdelat i fem delar:Litteraturstudien gav intressant kunskap om möjligheterna med att använda trafiksignaler och fysiska förändringar för att öka kapaciteten i en hårt belastad cirkulationsplats.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva riktlinjer och PM angående smärtbedömning och behandling som finns att tillgå på olika akutmottagningar och sjukhus. Smärta är en av de vanligaste orsakerna till att människor söker sjukvård i Sverige, därför ställer detta krav på sjukvårdens kompetens och tillgänglighet till riktlinjer/ PM som stödjer den vård som ges. En förfrågan om att få ta del av sjukhusens riktlinjer/ PM skickades via ut mail. Dokumenten analyserades och innehållet delades därefter in i sju kategorier som beskrev dess kontext, Definition av smärta, Bedömning/ Skattning av smärta, Behandling, Mål, Utvärdering/ Dokumentation, Smärtombud och Övrigt. I kategorin övrigt tas bland annat den bristande referenshanteringen till riktlinjer/ PM upp.

The Lugnetgymnasium in Falun has a graphic education that supplies a color printer, which is availablefor the students in their hall. The teachers of the graphic education want to makeuse of the variable data function and procure a variable data software. The purpose of this project is toevaluate variable data software?s, so that the most suitable choice of software can be made for the graphiceducation.

The aim of this master thesis is to examine readers? advice in weblogs - frequently modified web pages with a series of archived entries. We have chosen to study a specific kind of entry that contains information about a book of fiction- not for children and young adults - and the bloggers? comments regarding that same book. The entries are published in ten weblogs that all deal with literature and reading.

GKN Aerospace Sweden (GAS) utvecklar och tillverkar motorkomponenter för både den civila och militära flyg-och rymdindustrin. En av produkterna som GKN tillverkar är en outlet guide vane(OGV), vars funktion är att omdirigera det axiella luftflödet från fläkten. OGVn är den mekaniska länken mellan kärnstrukturen och fläkthuset. Ett viktigt mål är att minska vikten på motorn samtidigt som dess diameter ökar när motorerna blivit allt större.For att lösa detta krävs ett material med hög hållfasthet i förhallande till vikten. Ett examensarbete som föregår detta har utvecklat ett koncept som innefattar en OGV i en viss GKN-utvecklad tekonologi.

De senaste årtiondena har det hänt mycket inom digital teknik i vårt samhälle och människan har mer eller mindre gjort sig beroende av dem. Det talas även om att små barn måste lära sig hantera digitala verktyg och många förskolor runt om i vårt land har nu infört surfplattor till sina avdelningar, men det finns delade meningar angående hur och när och om surfplattan används i förskolan. Bakgrunden till undersökningen kom genom att jag upptäckte dessa  splittrade meningar i användandet av digitala verktyg. Denna kvantitativa undersökning syftar till att få en bild över hur användandet av surfplattan i förskolans verksamhet ser ut i dagsläget.Undersökningen har gjorts med hjälp av enkäter som skickats ut via mail till personal på förskolor runt om i landet. Studien utgår ifrån ett sociokulturellt perspektiv på barns utveckling och samhällets struktur. Resultatet visar att de som idag har tillgång till surfplattan har en positiv syn på användandet och den används till stor del på ett pedagogiskt sätt men samtidigt också som tidsfördriv..

E-post har blivit en vanlig teknik för kommunikation och information inom arbetslivet såväl som privatlivet. Den här uppsatsen handlar om e-post och syftar till att undersöka hur det påverkar individer inom arbetslivet. Uppsatsen syftar också till att undersöka vad det är som kan utlösa e-poststress och vad som kan göras för att förebygga det. För att kunna undersöka detta har en enkätundersökning gjorts inom olika organisationer. Resultatet från enkäten har sedan analyserats och jämförts med tidigare forskning och teorier.
