AbstractThe aim of the present study was to investigate what kind of factors contributed to motivate a group of nurses at a nursing home in western Sweden to to perform their work. Furthermore, the authors wanted to investigate whether the staff nurses felt that the leader helped to increase or reduce the perceived motivation to perform such work, and the way in which staff nurses perceived their relationship to the leader. The study is based on Herzberg's (1959) two-factor theory, Hackman and Oldham's (1980) work designs theory and Leader-member exchange (LMX) theory, and those theories are the basis of the study's structure. The study was of a qualitative property, interviews were conducted with seven nurses and was structured, the questions concerned their subjective experience of motivating factors in their everyday work. The results of this study demonstrated that respondents experienced confirmation, the meaningfulness of the work, work colleagues, beneficiaries of care and residents' families as contributing factors to motivate them in their daily work.

Following study is about the anorexic behavior and the pro-ana movement, which is a web-based subculture where the followers of this, stands for anorexia as an identity position and lifestyle, rather than a disease. The purpose of this study was that, from a sociological perspective give possible interpretations of the anorexic behavior, and interpret why some anorexics choose to be a part of and identify oneself with the pro-ana movement. The reason has been to conduce more knowledge and understanding of the topics, but also to contribute with a deeper perspective and sociological approach to the former research that is already available.To conduct the study, qualitative research has been used, and the chosen methodology was document analysis/text analysis. The collected empirical data consisted material from two pro-ana forums, four blogs and six twitter accounts, where all the users of those claimed to be supporters of the pro-ana. Bakgrund: Alkohol- och drogmissbruk är idag ett utbrett problem som drabbar minst 15,3 miljoner människor världen över. Det råder en allmän stigmatisering i dagens samhälle mot missbrukare, bland gemene man samt inom hälso- och sjukvården. Denna stigmatisering har skapats dels på grund av den bild media skapar av den stereotypa missbrukaren och dels på grund av okunskap. Sjuksköterskor hyser ofta fördomar mot denna patientgrupp vilket kan leda till bristfällig vård. Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva sjuksköterskans erfarenhet och upplevelse av att vårda patienter som missbrukar alkohol och droger.

EuroMedstats forskar kring läkemedelsanvändning. Genom att utveckla kvalitetsindikatorer kan man mäta och jämföra kostnader och volymer i läkemedelsanvändningen mellan länder samt få en egen profil på varje lands användande. Syftet var att i tio EU medlemsländer jämföra skillnaderna i förskrivningsmönstret av diabetesmedel (ATC A10). Data på diabetesläkemedel, expedierade på apotek i öppenvård, bearbetades. Användningen analyserades på substansnivå och angavs i Definierad Dygnsdoser (DDD) och kostnad i Euro.

The aim of the present literature study was to describe the significant factors contributing to the development of moral distress and the consequences of moral distress can lead to in the nurse profession. A literature search was performed in the databases Medline through PubMed and Academic Search Elite on the basis of in advanced defined criterions. A total of 19 articles was reviewed and included in the study. The main result revealed that nurses experience moral distress and that it is frequent within the nurse profession. The findings revealed that there seem to be several significant factors in the development of moral distress, such as providing life-sustaining care, competing loyalties, conflicts with the physician, communication barriers, emotional barriers, cultural barriers, regulation and rules and working environment that gives the nurse difficult or unsolved ethical dilemmas.

The problem of finding targeted medicine is a central problem in chemotherapy. From this point of view the ubiquitin-proteasome system is a highly promising object in the pharmaceutical approach. Proteasome plays a critical role in cellular protein degradation, cell cycle and apoptosis regulation.Proteasome inhibitors are substances blocking the actions of proteasome. Cancer cells are more sensitive to inhibition of the ubiquitin-proteasome system than normal cells. Therefore proteasome inhibitors have the potential to be successfully used in the cancer treatment.The study aimed to test various substances to identify possible proteasome inhibitors with the IncuCyteTM FLR image system and fluorometric microculture cytotoxicity assay.

The aim of this Master?s Thesis is to find out whether bibliotherapy, in an unspokenform, is practiced in already existing group formations to be able to determine how practicalbibliotherapy can be seen in a Swedish context and thereby open the possibility for development.To fulfil this purpose I decided to do a case study on a nearby book reading circle for adultchildren of drug addicts. I made three qualitative interviews; two of the mentioned book readingcircle?s leaders and one participant/help leader. I used the following set of questions: What isincluded in the concept Bibliotherapy and how does that relate to practice? How has the bookreading circle examined in this case study proceeded, which methods were used and what kind ofliterature has been used and also what kind of effects did this reading circle have on itsparticipants.

Syftet är att beskriva symtom och biverkningar som kvinnor med avancerad bröstcancer och cytostatikabehandling rapporterat i ett datoriserat rapporteringssystem före läkarbesök. Undersöka tillfredsställelsen med detta system; se om det finns en skillnad mellan äldre och yngre; undersöka kvinnornas uppfattning om vad som kan förbättras i uppföljningen av symtom/biverkningar samt stödet från läkare. Detta är en kvantitativ, deskriptiv tvärsnittsstudie baserat på rapporteringssystemets databas samt enkätundersökning. Biverkningarna trötthet, smärta och nervpåverkan rapporterades mest frekvent. Tidsåtgången för rapportering ansågs utav de flesta vara kort eller mycket kort och formuläret upplevdes av majoriteten vara ganska lätt till mycket lätt att använda oberoende av datorvana. Läkaren ansågs från hög grad till mycket hög grad vara ett stöd i att hantera symtom och biverkningar av två tredjedelar av respondenterna.

The aim of this study is to understand which strategies helped women escape honourbased violence, by reading the autobiographies of seven women. Honourbased violence is a relatively new problem in Sweden, but it has existed for a long time. According to FN (2012) 5000 women are murdered every year in the name of honour. Honourbased violence is about maintaining the honour of the family. Womens sexuality is connected to men´s honour, and because of that they are not allowed to express it.

Bakgrund: Läkemedelshantering utgör en stor del av det dagliga arbetet för sjuksköterskor. Varje år orsakas ett stort antal patienter skador på grund av brister i läkemedelshanteringen. Ett ständigt säkerhetsarbete där avvikande händelser rapporteras och utreds kan förhindra att fel upprepas. Lex Maria är en form av avvikelserapportering som syftar till att identifiera bakomliggande orsaker till den avvikande händelsen. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att identifiera vilka fel som begås i samband med läkemedelshanteringen inom primär-, kommunal- och hemsjukvården och som medför, eller riskerar att medföra, skada för patienten och där sjuksköterskan hade kunnat påverka händelseförloppet.

Vissa studier som undersökt kombinerad styrketräning och uthållighetsträningjämfört med styrketräning har funnit hämmad styrkeutveckling vid kombinerad träning. Forskning har därför riktats mot att undersöka hur hämmad effekt kan undvikas. Syftet med litteraturöversikten var att genom att granska vetenskaplig litteratur i området beskriva faktorer av betydelse för styrkeutvecklingen i nedre extremitet vid kombinerade uthållighetoch styrketräningsprogram. En beskrivande litteraturstudie gjordes på ämnet. En litteratursökning genomfördes mellan 6-24/9, 2014 i databaserna Scopus, Proquest, Pubmed, Cinahl, AMED, Web Of Sciense.

Metod/Method: Semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts med kommunchefen, personalchefen, fyra medarbetare och en facklig representant i Sala kommun. Materialet från intervjuerna analyserades sedan bland annat med hjälp av två av Morgans organisationsmetaforer, Kotters 8 steg, agil projektledning och Derbys tidigare forskning inom området./ Semi-structured interviews have been conducted with the local head of government, the human resource manager, four employees and a union member in Sala kommun. The material from the interviews was then analyzed with help from Morgans organizational metaphors, Kotters 8 step, agile project management and Derbys earlier research on the area. Slutsatser/Results: En organisationsförändring enligt agil projektledning innebar att de teoretiska rekommendationerna för hur en organisationsförändring ska genomföras följdes. Att personalen gjordes delaktig i förändringen gjorde att motståndet mot organisationsförändringen kunde minimeras vilket var den största fördelen.

The purpose of this study is to examine how women?s reading of the Harry Potter books can be understood on the basis of gender theory and reader-response criticism. The empirical data is gathered through qualitative interviews with six female Harry Potter readers between the age of 21 and 35, and is analyzed through several theories regarding gender and reading. The results show that the readers are critical towards many aspects of the books, especially when it comes to the stereotyped depiction of women and men. The books are said to reproduce the gender dichotomy, the gender hierarchy and the heteronormativity in society.

In the past year, Ozempic has been observed internationally, as well as in the Swedish press, due to its rapid rise in popularity, its off-label use for weight loss, and the ethical and societal debates surrounding availability and impact. The purpose of this study is to examine how Ozempic is portrayed in the four largest Swedish daily newspapers: Svenska Dagbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen and Aftonbladet. The aim of the thesis is to identify the frames within which the drug is described to acquire knowledge of how it influences public perception of it. Every article published between the first of March until the first of November has been included in the study, if it bottoms in the defined phonomenon. The method used is a qualitative text analysis in consideration of Entman?s framing theory, which is focusing on identifying dominant themes, problem definitions, proposed solutions, and the actors attributed responsibility in the coverage of Ozempic in Swedish press.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie var att undersöka missbrukande kvinnors tankar kring och upplevelser av samhällets och nätverkets bemötande samt attityder till kvinnligt missbruk. För att besvara uppsatsens frågeställningar genomfördes fem intervjuer med kvinnor som missbrukat främst alkohol. I analysen granskades resultatet utifrån genusperspektiv, stämplingsteori samt teorier om bemötande. Då det inte fanns någon tidigare forskning som direkt berörde studiens syfte användes närliggande forskning. Den tidigare forskningen visade att män och kvinnor i vårt samhälle bemöts på olika sätt.
