This study was conducted in autumn 2008 on the Company AB, which is currently in a growth phase. The company manufactures hydraulic systems for the heavy vehicle industry and has annual sales of approximately 250 MSEK with 165 employees.The rapid growth and unchanged planning is the starting point for this report. It all began in 2005 when the company received an unusually large order. During this period, the first priority was to satisfy customers and all other focus was disregarded. This has primarily resulted in a messy production and long throughput times.

At Kungliga Biblioteket in Stockholm you can find over 40 000 letters sent to Selma Lagerlöf. Many of her readers wrote and asked for her help, and the letters show that she helped a lot of people with money as well as with writing advice. People from all over the world asked her for money to be able to study, to finish their written works, or just to get through the day. Others want her to read their texts and poems, because they wish to hear her opinion or wonder if she can put in a good word for them at some publisher. This essay illuminates the question why so many people had this confidence in Selma Lagerlöf.

The purpose of this master`s thesis is to examine how the contemporary changes in society display itself in the network Ecumenical Forum of European Christian Women EFECW and to increase the understanding of networks. My main questions are: What does the networks structure look like? What does the networks relationships look like? How is identity created in the network and what types of identities is created? The objectives are reached by using two methods, qualitative inquiries and document analysis. The inquiries were carried out to nine members in the network of different countries. The theoretical framework of the thesis is Manuel Castells theories of the network society, and the study is also placed in context by a presentation of previous research on the field.

De senaste årens strukturella förändringar i svensk hälso- och sjukvård har påverkat vårdpersonalen i det sjukvårdande arbetet såväl fysiskt och psykiskt. Kontinuerlig återkoppling genom reflektion kan vara ett verktyg för avdelningschefen att leda utveckling, lärande och förnyelse i omvårdnadsarbetet. Studiens syfte var att genom fenomenografisk ansats beskriva avdelningschefers uppfattningar av reflektion i omvårdnadsarbete.Analysen av 15 intervjuer resulterade i fem beskrivningskategorier av reflektion: kunskapsintegrerande, bearbetande, utvecklande, arbetsledande och patientinriktad. Den kunskapsintegrerande reflektionen fångar studenternas utbildning som kan användas i omvårdnadsarbetet. Genom bearbetande reflektion skapas en fortlöpande tankeprocess av omvårdnadsarbetet.

This essay discusses different opinions about experimental archaeology. To start with literature was examined and a questionnaire was sent out to students and working archaeologists. The possibility for experiments to mediate archaeology to people without an education in archaeology is lifted and is also mentioned in the questionnaire. In the discussion part of the essay the results from the questionnaire and the literature are used to see what opinions are the strongest. The mediating is also discussed and the result is compiled in the conclusion.

Studiens syfte var att beskriva och analysera pedagogers samtal med barn vid måltidssituationer i förskolan. För att besvara studiens syfte gjordes videoobservationer av pedagoger och barn vid tre luncher och tre mellanmål. Materialet transkriberades i sin helhet och analyserades kvalitativt och kvantitativt. I uppsatsen behandlades det sociokulturella synsättet på lärande och behaviorismen samt internationell och nationell forskning som beskrev måltidssamtal utifrån olika synvinklar. Tillsammans användes detta som verktyg i analysen av de resultat som framkommit ur observationerna.

Bakgrunden till studien är mina egna tankar om hur de lönesättande samtalen inom arbetslivet egentligen fungerar nu när de har blivit alltmer vanliga på arbetsplatserna. Syftet med studien är dels att undersöka hur kommunikationen hanteras och upplevs under ett lönesättande samtal av medarbetare respektive ledare dels att utveckla kunskapen om vilken betydelse kommunikationens påverkan har för samspelet under det lönesättande samtalet. Studiens forskningsfråga har varit hur medarbetarna och ledarna upplever samspelet under samtalet, varför den sociokulturella teorin har använts tillsammans med andra kommunikativa begrepp och teorier. Studien har av den anledningen haft en fenomenologisk ansats för att få fram respondenternas subjektiva upplevelser av samspelet under det lönesättande samtalet. Som metod användes en öppen intervju med en frågeguide som innehåll ett antal olika teman som de olika respondenterna själva fick resonera kring.

The beta value is frequently described in theory and is a well known factor to quantify the systematic risk in shares through the CAPM model. Initially, this study describes the advantages and difficulties with the estimating process and the problematic nature of the assumptions and descisons included in published beta values.An alternative method, Bottom-up beta, to estimate the beta value that probably has not been tested under Swedish circumstances is applied. The problems and decisions that have to be made to derive an alternative value are studied in detail through six separate steps. I have chosen nine companies at the Stockholm Stock Exchange where this method is used. The result showed that the systematic risk were higher at five shares and lower at four, compared to the published values.Finally there is a discussion about the practise, usefulness and opinions concerning how to estimate and interpret the beta value to determine the expected return..

The purpose of the study is to observe how the participants of the study interacted musically through verbal, non-verbal and musically resonant expressions. Verbal communication was expressed in discussion of the music's tempo and to clarify for ensemble participants from where they we?re going to play and sing. Non-verbal communication could be used to gesticulate an instrument or a melody. For example, the movement of a hand could symbolize notes on a musical stave to indicate the notes placements.

Bakgrunden till denna studie var en vilja att lyfta fram sexarbetande kvinnors sätt att definiera sig själva; en ambition som bottnar i ett konstaterande av att den aktuella gruppen är vida omtalad, men till stor del saknar en offentlig röst. Undersökningen består av en diskursanalys av sexarbetande kvinnors representationer på internet lokaliserade huvudsakligen i blogginlägg. Texterna har studerats som ett forum för motmakt, där kvinnorna har möjlighet att bestrida negativa attityder och föreställningar om kvinnor som arbetar med sex, vilket i rapporten illustreras som narrativt motstånd. Utifrån frågeställningen hur sexarbetande kvinnor konstruerar sin identitet på internet har tre framträdande tolkningsrepertoarer identifierats: Sexbranschen som tjänstesektor, Sexualdriftens karaktär och Den fria människan ? samt tre övergripande subjektspositioner: Den aktivt deltagande samhällsmedlemmen, Sexperten, och Offret.

The aim of this report is to give a concise description of curtain walls, what it is and why they are used. It is also a description of six different but commonly used design technologies. By giving a detailed description of the different types and there special properties, the pros and cons will be clarified. The three most interesting alternatives were selected to be included in a test, to show the best alternative from a certain point of view.The parameters are:? Environment? Cost? Ergonomics? Isolation against noise and fire? DurabilityThese are important parameters in the planning and design phase.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka mäns upplevelser av att ha deltagit i föräldrastödsprogrammet Föräldrastegen, samt hur de beskriver sitt föräldraskap och upplever relationen till sina tonåringar. Fem kursdeltagare har intervjuats utifrån en kvalitativ forskningsansats med en semistrukturerad intervjuguide som mall. Resultatet av intervjuerna har strukturerats och redovisats utifrån olika teman. Analysen har utförts med utgångspunkt i Eriksons psykosociala stadier, Banduras sociala inlärningsteori, samt teorier kring gruppdynamik. Den tidigare forskning som har använts berör fäders upplevelser av sitt faderskap, relationen mellan far och tonåring, samt en utvärdering av ett föräldrastödsprogram designad för män.

Detta examensarbete på c-nivå, är en intervjustudie om chefers kompetensutveckling gjord på ett universitet. Det bygger på fyra intervjuer med chefer som har en prefektroll och en kompetensutvecklare som representerar universitetet. Syftet är att belysa organisationens mål och arbete med kompetensutvecklingen för chefer och se om målen överensstämmer med respondenternas upplevelser av kompetensutvecklingsinsatsen. Ger chefsutbildningen de förutsättningar som respondenterna behöver och hur upplever respondenterna kompetensutvecklingsinsatsen utifrån organisationens mål och syfte.Utifrån resultaten har paralleller dragits till tidigare forskning kring prefektens roll, kompetens och lärande, samt Ellströms teori kring anpassningsinriktat- och utvecklingsinriktat lärande för att se hur resultatet skulle kunna användas för att utveckla och möjliggöra en utveckling som leder till ett ökat lärande.Resultaten visar att organisationen har en chefsutbildning som möter chefernas behov och vidare framkom i resultaten att utbildningen var ett bra forum att diskutera erfarenheter och frågeställningar i, med personer på samma typ av position i organisationen.Det som framkom var också att respondenterna ansåg, utifrån sin upplevelse, att organisationen kunde utveckla en del moment i utbildningen. Bland annat hur prefekten kan leda/utveckla sin institution organisatoriskt på ett tydligare sätt.

Studien är en kvalitativ ansats inom det socialvetenskapliga forskningsområdet som syftar till att studera hur internetdroger marknadsförs på hemsidan MysteriousPlants, hur medlemmar på det sociala internetforumet Flashback diskuterar kring ämnet internetdroger samt att undersöka hur myndighetspersoner arbetar för att motverka internetdroger. Studien har genomförts med hjälp av retrospektiva observationer av MysteriousPlants och Flashback samt av intervjuer med myndighetspersoner. Studiens teoretiska utgångspunkter består av hälsopsykologi, ekologisk systemteori och interaktionsteori. I resultatet framkommer hur MysteriousPlants marknadsför sina varor. En slutsats som framkommer i analysen är att marknadsföringen på hemsidor som säljer internetdroger inte skiljer sig avsevärt från internetsidor som säljer andra varor.
