Rapporten behandlar digital kommunikation med fokus på sociala medier. Syftet var att utreda informationsflödet på sociala medier samt att konstruera en matematisk modell över det. Resultatet blev en modell som inbegriper centrala strukturer vad gäller informationens spridning och mottagarnas uppfattning av den. Modellen behöver validerasoch eventuellt vidareutvecklas. Slutsatsen är att vissa sociala medier sprider information bättre än andra och att det är viktigt att identifiera dessa för en optimerad informationsspridning.

Den digitala tekniken utvecklas till olika användningsområden och antal mobila applikationer blir fler och fler både för privatlivet och yrkeslivet. Nu vill projektets uppdragsgivare Bygglet AB expandera mot den mobila marknaden med sin affärsidé. Företaget Bygglet AB arbetar i huvudsak mot byggbranschen och tillhandahåller det webbaserade projekthanteringsverktyget Bygglet.Denna uppsats behandlar examensarbetet med prototypen mobilapplikationen ByggletMobil. Rapporten innefattar både teoretisk och praktisk bakgrund, arbetet med implementationen och en motivation till att denna typ av digital teknik behövs inom byggnadsområdet..

 Abstract  Interest in Lean grows and spreads to the public from industrial and service sectors. Lean is currently used in administrative processes and it is called Administration but can administration be Lean? The aim of our study is to develop a useful model for a successful implementation of Lean Administration by using various scientific articles, books and information from the case study.The part of the purpose is to: ? Identify critical success factors that arise? Identify the challenges arising from the implementation of Lean Administration.We have studied a Division within Distribution at GE Healthcare in Uppsala. The model that we have developed provides challenges and success factors for a successful implementation.In order to succeed in implementation, a culture that promotes continuous improvement must exist in the organization. A key success factor is to understand Lean Administrations structure and principles.

This essay deals with the issue how to define the concept successful school and what ingredients it includes. To aim this task I have interviewed four principals at upper secondary schools, two placed in community schools and the other two working for non-community schools. We have discussed how the principals define a successful school, whether they believe that the principal has a major part in contributing to the schools success or not and further if they think that schools have anything in common with private companies.The principals all agreed on what components they believe a successful school consists of, that is good school results from the pupils, a high comfort level for the pupils at school, professional management from the principal and a high level of young people who wants to attend the particular school.Further I have studied Swedish and foreign research in the area of successful schools and management in schools to get at good background in this matter..

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how investments are justified in the Swedish data center industry, with a focus on cooling equipment. This is achieved through semi-structured interviews with 20 different interviewees. These interviewees represent different facets of the industry and facilitate an understanding of which factors, such as: investment costs, operating costs, reliability, environmental impact and the influence of external and internal actors, come into play and to which degree they impact the investment decision-making process. The results show that primarily low operating cost in the form of low energy consumption is the driving factor when it comes to the procurement of new equipment. A lower environmental impact is a positive side-effect of lower energy consumption.

Denna rapport behandlar utveckling av en tvåhjulig balanserande robot. En PID-regulator är implementerad i en mikrokontroller, som även AD-omvandlar en sensorsignal, samt styr motorer via H-bryggor med pulsbreddsmodulering. I rapporten förklaras framtagning av diskret PID-regulator, processorkort, motorkort, val av komponenter och sensor för att mäta robotens vinkel mot ett vertikalplan.Roboten kan balansera stillastående, men behöver kompletteras ytterligare med hjulåterkoppling för att kunna balansera medan den kör. Roboten balanserar med mätdata från en mekanisk golvavkännare (potentiometer). Andra sorters sensorer diskuteras också, t ex accelerometer, gyro och optisk sensor..

Denna uppsats undersöker möjligheterna att återskapa en så kallad ?smear? i en digital arbetsmiljö. Smear är en metod som härstammar ur stiliserad, klassisk animation och används för att beskriva en mycket snabb rörelse mellan två positioner genom att formen på karaktären eller det animerade objektet smetas ut. Effekten användes till en början för sitt estetiska värde som ett led i den nya stilutveckling som skedde inom animationsbranschen under 1930-tal, men kom senare att utnyttjas främst av ekonomiska skäl. Då klassisk animation i Disney-stil är mycket tidskrävande sökte många mindre studios efter sätt att rationalisera bort arbete utan att tappa för mycket i kvalitet, för att kunna producera material till tv snabbt och kostnadseffektivt.

Manliness in four Japanese samurai moviesThis thesis deals with the samurai and his portrayal in Japanese historic movies and what kind of messages he conveys in form of masculinity to theater audiences. Four movies were chosen, two from the 1960s and two from the 2010s. The reasoning behind this was to look at two eras of samurai movies and if possible try to see differences between them. The history of the samurai, being a man and woman in modern Japan, R.W Connell and famous Japanese authors from different time eras acted as tools to try to answer the questions in hand.

The aim with this literature review is to describe the ensilage process in a bunker silo. The process from harvest and chopping to filling and unloading the silo is explained. The sealing of the bunker silo plays an important role for the final quality of the silage. This review covers some of the techniques used. There are many silage additives on the market, some of them are presented including how they act in the ensilage process.

Cataloguing electronic documents makes new demands on libraries. This thesis discusses the metadata formats Dublin Core and MARC which are, individually or in combination, commonly used for object description in the digital library.The formats are studied with particular emphasis on characteristics such as underlying reasoning (ambitions during the development of the formats), flexibility (possibilities of expansion and adaption to new demands) and interoperability (cooperation between different metadata formats). The formats are dealt with in their context, i.e. we discuss what types of documents the formats are meant to describe, what environment they were originally created for, what functions they are meant to fill (to find, identify, select and acquire/obtain entities), and also how these factors are related. The Swedish projects SAFARI (which uses Dublin Core) and NetSök (which uses MARC) are presented briefly.

Syfte och frågeställningar: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka reliabiliteten och validiteten hos en digital goniometer (DGA: Angela, Meloq©) vid mätning av rörelseomfånget vid aktiv och passiv flexion och extension i knäleden.Frågeställningarna var: ?Hur reliabel är DGA vid upprepade mätningar av knäledens rörelseomfång avseende aktiv och passiv flexion och extension?? och ?Hur valid är DGA vid mätning av rörelseomfånget vid aktiv och passiv flexion och extension i knäleden??.Metod: Reliabiliteten hos DGA utvärderades genom ett test-retest förfarande och validiteten utvärderades genom att vid ett och samma tillfälle genomföra mätningar med DGA och en traditionell goniometer (TG), där TG ansågs som Golden Standard. Arton individer, 9 kvinnor och 9 män, mellan 19-73år rekryterades till studien. Totalt 36 knäleder utvärderades med TG och DGA genom mätning av knäledens ROM i sagittalplanet. Mätningarna genomfördes på höger och vänster ben i standardiserad ordning med början i höger ben: aktiv flexion, passiv flexion, aktiv extension, passiv extension.
