Many research reports mention the fact that a huge number of all system Development projects never reach a successful ending; with other words never fulfil formulated goals. By identifying and forming success factors (and in some aspect risk factors) that the project manager in practice can use, this study may be seen as a step in the direction towards minimising the high number of failed system Development projects. The purpose of this research report is to investigate how a system Development project, where the Development process is based on a specific Development or process model (in this case the Waterfall model), can and should be driven. I aim to clarify what is demanded of a project leader for the specific Development process and give an account for which eventual leadership qualities that can be well suited for given situation in relation to the need for technical competence. Among other things the project manager should inspire confidence, drive, be a decision maker, engage and own some form of basic knowledge in the field of system Development.

Kunddriven tjänsteutveckling? - en kvalitativ studie av Scandinavian Airlines.

The deregulation during the last decade within the airline businesses have called upon a more fierce competition among airlines. This fact forces airlines to continuously focus on service Development in order to offer attractive solutions to satisfy customers changing needs and stay competitive. This paper focuses on service Development at Scandinavian Airlines. The aim of this case study is to examine the sources of information used in service Development and new service Development at Scandinavian Airlines. Further the aim is to examine whether information derived from customers can be shown to play a more important role in either service Development or new service Development.

Produktutveckling av EMV och LMV ? en jämförande studie

Existing studies concerning private labels are unclear as to whether private label manufacturers carry out product Development themselves. Furthermore, there is a lack of studies comparing product Development processes in private label companies and national brand manufacturers. This study highlights a set of critical product Development factors and assesses their prevalence in four different companies in the Swedish retail business. The study is based on a number of qualitative interviews with key personnel responsible for various table fats. Findings indicate two levels of involvement in the product Development process on the private label side.

Implementering av centralt fattade beslut i ett regionalt samverkanskomplex : en studie om implementeringen av de sociala hållbarhetsaspekterna i Kronobergs regionala tillväxtprogram

AbstractThe aim of this study is to investigate the implementation process and the implementation steering of the social Development aspects, gender equality and integration, in the program for regional Development of the region Kronoberg in the period of 2004-2007.The study asks three questions: 1) How have the social Development aspects, gender equality and integration, been implemented in the program for regional Development of the region Kronoberg? 2) What has facilitated or hindered the implementation of the two social Development aspects? 3) What possibilities to steer the implementation process of the two social Development aspects exist at the governmental and at the regional level?In order to answer these questions a qualitative method has been used. To be able to analyse the empirical material, which consists of documents and interviews, the theoretical framework comprehends the policy process and implementation steering. The conclusion is that the incorporation of the social Development aspects in the regional Development program does not fully correspond with the central intentions, and that is due to circumstances at the regional level..

The Development of IT systems is usually accomplished by some form of system Development methodology. It can be performed as the waterfall method, where each phase is completed before the next begins. Sweden introduced a Development assistance policy in 1952 and thirteen years later Sida, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency started, in 1965. Utvärdering av personalutbildning : En studie om organisationers utvärdering av utbildningsprogram

This study examines how and why organizations evaluate training and Development within the organizations. The study has a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews, with office and organization Development managers. The purpose of the study is to contribute with knowledge about how three large Swedish organizations evaluates training and Development programs for staff members. Another purpose is to describe why the organizations evaluate training and Development programs and to research if there is a further need to develop the organization evaluation methods. Therefore the research questions are Why and how do organizations evaluate training programs? What further need is there to develop organizations evaluation methods?The conclusion of this study shows that evaluation of the training and Development programs are not a high priority among the selected organizations.

ABSTRACTWe have chosen to write an essay about competence because we think that it is an important and a current subject of interest, both to us as future team leaders, but also to all activities within the community. We have a background working with eldercare and we have noticed that there are continued changes going on. This made us want to study what team leaders and their staff think about competence and the Development of competence. The purpose of this study is to analyse how team leaders work to develop competence with their personnel working in home care. We also want to analyse how the personnel experience their competence and their need for Development of competence.

AbstractThe signification of the eyesight for children?s Development and learning- how do pedagogues support and stimulate children with defective vision in their Development and learning in pre-school?These issues are based on my purpose of the field survey investigations, where I have interviewed three pedagogues and also performed an observation.My main conclusion and results describe that the vision is the high-powered engine in children?s Development and learning. It also tells us that those around the children are very important for optimum Development and learning, especially when it comes to supporting and stimulating children with defective vision in their necessities. Our other senses are a compensation to make it easier for children with defective visions in their lives. But all our senses are equally important for children with defective vision as they are for seeing children in their Development and learning with their whole body in pre-school.Keywords:Eyesight, children with defective vision, Development and learning in pre-school, pedagogues, pedagogical support and stimulation.

Today there is a keen competition between regions in the world for companies and inhabitants in order to improve regional Development and economic growth. In many regions there is an active effort to create a good home base for companies and inhabitants. Since 2003 municipalities in nine counties in Sweden have come together in co-operative agencies in order to work towards more efficient regional Development.This essay focuses on the relation between the state and the co-operative agencies in the regional Development policy and which possibilities the state gives the co-operative agencies to pursue an efficient regional Development policy, both legally and financially. I have researched and analysed this through models and ideas on how the state governs the administration and through the translation theory. The result of my study is that the co-operative agencies have a relatively large amount of freedom to make there own priorities, but the ability to act efficiently within regional Development is limited..

Hållbar utveckling : Begreppets utveckling och användning på kommunal nivå

This thesis concerns how local governments use the concept sustainable Development, and what the concept means. The concept of Agenda 21 and local Agenda 21 will also be discussed in this essay, because it's an instrument for local governments to specify their work towards sustainable Development. I have interviewed civil servants in leading positions in the municipalities? work with environmental questions and sustainable Development. In the choice of method for this thesis, I use the qualitative method and for the interviews I chose the ?semi structure way of interviewing?.This thesis shows that local governments? implementation of sustainable Development and Agenda 21 differ between the municipalities.

Uppsala universitet The aim of this master?s thesis is to investigate, through text analysis, the role of copyright in Development, with particular interest of how the concepts knowledge and access to knowledge are used in Access to Knowledge Draft Treaty and WIPO Development Agenda. The definition of the concept knowledge, as it is used in copyright, is based in a Western historical and philosophical context and therefore excludes knowledge created in another type of society. Den dolda kompetensen : en longitudinell undersökning mellan åren 2007 - 2009  av fem gotländska småföretag

In this thesis we will discuss the importance of human resource Development in smaller companies and if it will change from when the Swedish economy was in an economic boom and later on came to be in a recession. We choose to use a more qualitative approach for this research in order to conduct a more in-depth study of five smaller sized companies located on Gotland, Sweden. In order to limit our research we had as an ambition to answer these following questions:? What obstacles are there when it comes to human resource Development and knowledge transference within smaller sized companies?? What can simplify or enable human resource Development and knowledge transference within smaller sized companies?? Does the teaching process change to a more tacit human resource Development between co-workers when there is less room for conventional human resource Development?The result of the research came to show that the biggest barrier, when it comes to competence Development within smaller companies, is time. However, our research also showed that a majority of the companies has changed from a more external educational plan to a more internal educational plan which focuses on keeping the human resource Development within the company.
