This study aims at describing if discrepancies can be found between the rhetoric in Swedish political parties? electoral campaigns to the European Parliament elections in 2004 and their representatives? actual behavior in the European Parliament and to develop plausible explanations to these possible discrepancies. The research method that is being used is content analysis, aiming to answer four research questions regarding the electoral campaigns to the European Parliament elections in 2004 and the behavior by the parties? representatives during the following term of office. The main findings are that some discrepancies can be found regarding which questions are raised most frequently in the electoral campaigns and in the European Parliament, but that no discrepancies can be found regarding the positions taken in questions in the electoral campaigns and in the European Parliament.

After W.W. II the Social democratic government wanted to modernize and rationalize the Swedish society. The university system was reformed[INS: :INS] to support growth of industry and science. But the reform did not reach Swedish academic library system and it was not well organized. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the reaction of the Swedish academic libraries to the new era in the framework of ideological criticism.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att beskriva hur lärare betraktar förändringen från kvartsamtal till utvecklingssamtal. Vår studie har byggt på fem kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare på en högstadieskola i Norrbotten. De stora skillnaderna mellan kvartsamtal och utvecklingssamtal som kommit fram under intervjuerna är, tiden som samtalet får ta i både förberedelser och genomförande, den ökade omfattning av information som skickas till hemmen innan samtalen och den mer klargjorda struktur som finns för samtalet. Dessa faktorer upplever lärarna har skapat bättre förutsättningar för att kunna uppnå en bra dialog vid utvecklingssamtalet. Det är dialogen som lärarna upplever som den stora förändringen mellan kvartsamtalet och utvecklingssamtalet..

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis ist to analyze the idea progress in the party programs in the swedish Centre-party during the time 1910-1959. The progress in the party program is compared with the evolution of society during the same period.The bachelor´s aim is also to analyze how each new program is described in newspapers, two newspapers were chosen to make the comparison; Arbetet (a social-democratic newspaper), and Skånska Dagbladet (a centre-party newspaper). The result shows that the party in the beginning was conservative and against both capitalism and socialism. The start of the party was a reaction against the new electionsystem which was introduced in Sweden in 1909.The party took a clear standpoint for the Swedish farmers, but after 1933, they were standing for the whole countryside. In the 1940´s and the 1950´s the party became more like a social liberal party rather than an agrarian party only for the farmers.The party programs are not given much space in the two newspapers.

The main purpose of the culture is to serve people and represent the people's social will and freedom. Culture does not exist in a vacuum but shaped and framed by political and artistic structures that are not neutral, and this is why the artwork itself cannot be an independent business. The public function of art can be understood as a defense of the ideals of democracy. But today, when political power is often replaced by hegemony, the role of art and functions are changing. How these changes reflect to the identity, reality and truth of society? What political functions are fulfilled when art becomes ?public?? The issue of democracy is linked question of people?s power in a democratic society where power is legitimized in social space.

This paper discuss the possibilities to improve the Swedish political nomination system. It brings up some of the values and norms that can be used to change the existing system. Values as openness, the demand of responsibility and also if there is values from the American spoils system that can be used in the Swedish system. A minor purpose is to discuss the part of the parliament within the nomination process. To investigate this I have some theoretical starting points and a self constructed analysis tool.

The aim of this essay is to examine how future upper secondary school teachers within social science comprehends their future proffessional role. The aim is also to see whether the education is of importance to their suspension for their future professional role. Focus will especially be on the teachers civil servant role, where the aim is to see how their identification suspends to the governmental expectations on their future civil servant misson. The essay is based on a qualitative method, which is focused conversational interviews.The result indicates that future upper secondary school teachers within social science, who are about to finish their education, have a somewhat deeper sense of identification with the teachers civil servant mission compared to those in the beginning of their education. The result also indicates that the future upper secondary school teachers identification are in line with the governmental expectations on their civil servant mission.

En betydelsefull faktor för att kunna förebygga eller minska elevers svårigheter i matematik är att de upptäcks tidigt. Det är viktigt att ha kunskap om vilka signaler som ska betraktas som avvikande och kräver en särskild utredning (Butterworth, 2011; Malmer, 2006).Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka och analysera lärares,speciallärares och specialpedagogers strategier att identifiera SUM-elever, årskurs 1-3 via deras beskrivningar. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats med vissa kvantitativa delar. Metoderna har varit dels semistrukturerade intervjuer med specialpedagoger och speciallärare och dels enkäter med många öppna frågor till lärarna.Undersökningen visar bland annat att pedagogerna ofta använder sig av olika kartläggningsmaterial för att upptäcka SUM-elever. De upptäcker även SUM-eleverna i det dagliga arbetet och i olika former av dialoger med andra pedagoger, elever och vårdnadshavare.

This thesis is about how ideology affects the way leadership literature measures good and bad leadership qualities. The paper argues that ideological influences in leadership literature, from a teacher perspective, complicate the understanding of leadership in its practice and theory. The methodological tool used in this thesis is an idea- and ideology analysis approach applied on leadership literature that is used in teacher education. A theoretical discussion about the definition of leadership and its possible ideological connotations sets a frame for measuring ideological influences in the texts. The analysis from the textbooks showed clear signs of ideological influences when talking about leadership.

This study examines the closure of public libraries, and the nonprofit organizations takeover of them as a phenomenon. The aim is to understand why the nonprofit takeover is common and what the takeover symbolizes and if the discourse in media invokes the views on libraries and the profession.Interviews were made with librarians, politicians and representatives of a nonprofit organization to study different sides of the phenomenon. Other empirical data were found in local and national newspapers and media-channels. I discovered that public libraries are highly valued by both politicians and the community. The study also showed that a library in a community makes people feel valued.

Denna rapport beskriver arbetet med en utökning av ett dialogsystem till en UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, obemannad flygande farkost). Arbetet är utfört i WITAS-projektet (Wallenberg laboratory for research on Information Technology and Autonomous Systems), ett projekt som har som mål att utveckla en helikopter som ska kunna verka autonomt i t.ex. en trafikmiljö. Syftet med dialogsystemet är att en operatör med talspråk ska kunna ge kommandon till och få information från helikoptern. Detta examensarbete har som mål att utöka dialogen till att bli multimodal, dvs.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine the use of the concept cultural heritage in Swedish governmental cultural policy. Ten official reports, reaching over a time period of seven years (1997-2004) are examined in the following way: What is cultural heritage? What functions/ values does the cultural heritage have? Whose heritage is a cultural heritage? With some simplification you can say that there are two different views on cultural heritage in the documents. The most common way to refer to cultural heritage is a category of chosen historical objects whose preservation is motivated by their function as sources of information and knowledge about the history and development of the Swedish society.

Sverige har under en längre tid omvandlats till ett multikulturellt land samtidigt som samhället blivit allt mer komplext med ny avancerad teknik. Detta bidrar till en allt svårare riskkommunikation mellan räddningstjänster och allmänheten, med mål att skapa ett säkert samhälle. Samtidigt har det svenska samhället upplevt social oro vilket har startat en diskussion om räddningstjänsten kan användas för att motverka social oro. Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap (MSB) har därför börjat undersöka räddningstjänsternas möjlighet att genom en fungerande riskkommunikation kunna motverka social oro.Syftet med föreliggande rapport är att klargöra om det sker något erfarenhetsutbyte mellan räddningstjänsterna, om det finns metoder och strategier för hur räddningstjänsterna arbetar med riskkommunikation i ett mångkulturellt samhälle och i så fall vilka. Vidare ska det undersökas om det finns möjlighet i praktiken för räddningstjänsterna att med riskkommunikation motverka social oro i samhället samt hur räddningstjänsterna ser på framtiden vad gäller riskkommunikationen i ett multikulturellt samhälle.Sex räddningstjänster har intervjuats.

The purpose of this essay is to illustrate how the position of power / exercise of power are perceived in today's schools from the teacher's perspective. I have examined how students' freedom and democracy education interpreted in real life, and how this affects both teacher and student learning approaches. I would also highlight the need to set standards for children's psychological development related to the consequences will be. I have chosen to perform a qualitative research through individual interviews with five participating teachers from different experiences in different type of school. I have used the hermeneutic method of analysis to analyze the material.

En serie dialogseminarier har genomförts med 5 företagare som deltagare. Syftet var att un­dersöka om det var möjligt att med dialogseminariemetoden lyfta fram denna yrkesgrupps yrkeskunnande. Det resultatet nådde jag inte. Jag tolkar orsakerna som att jag inte hade till­räcklig förståelse i handling av flera av de kritiska elementen som jag hade behövt behärs­ka för ett lyckat genomförande. Min intellektuella förståelse räckte inte till.
