Det här examensarbetet berör definition och utveckling av ett regelverk och en prototyp för automatiserad optimering av sjuksköterskors arbetsschema hos företaget Telefonakuten AB som bedriver sjukrådgivning dygnet runt åt bland annat landsting och försäkringsbolag. Examensarbetet genomfördes som en del i ett större projekt för ett bemanningsplaneringssystem där den automatiserade optimeringen var tänkt att ingå i en schemaläggningsdel. Problemet som den automatiserade optimeringen syftar till att lösa var dels att ledningen på Telefonakuten ville bättre anpassa sin bemanning mot sitt faktiska behov för att få bättre lönsamhet i verksamheten, dels att underlätta för administratörer på Telefonakuten då manuell optimering av arbetsscheman var mycket tidskrävande.Som mål för examensarbetet definierades att genom undersökning ta fram de schemaläggningsregler som optimeringen ska tillämpa, att implementera dessa som ett regelverk, att ta fram en prototyp för en optimeringsfunktion samt att testa prototypen. Arbetet genomfördes i en utredningsfas och en implementationsfas där den förstnämnda upptog större delen av tiden då problemställningen visade sig vara mer komplex än vad som först uppskattats.Resultatet av examensarbetet är att schemaläggningsregler har kunnat definieras, ett regelverk är implementerat och en prototyp för optimeringen är skapad. Dock har testning av prototypen ej genomförts så målen för examensarbetet är bara delvis uppnådda..

Denna uppsats är, precis som titeln anger, en analys av sambandet mellan motsägelser och ångest. De nutida vardagsuttrycken för begreppen utreds och granskas med hjälp av känslo- och rationalitetsfilosofiska teorier och distinktioner ifrån Arne Næss och Jean-Paul Sartre. Författaren föreslår en egen definition av ångest och jämför denna med andra filosofers och tankeskolors definitioner av begreppet. Författarens syn på ångest skiljer sig från Sartres, då han menar att ångest kan lösas upp och att den ofta är väldigt specifik och konkret till sin karaktär, medan Sartre menar att ångesten är omöjlig att lösgöra sig ifrån och att den är av ett mycket mer generellt slag. The aim of this master?s thesis is to analyse the construction of European identity in three ofcontemporary EU initiated projects for the digitisation of collections from museums, archives, andlibraries. The source material consists of the web pages of the projects Minerva, MICHAEL, andEuropeana, as well as some other policy documents on digitisation and access from EU authorities.Theories on nationalism and construction of heritage are used as an overall context to the problem.After a brief description of the mentioned projects, the author undertakes an analysis of theways that the concept of ?European heritage? is depicted in the source material. The result is thefollowing: normally, the true European heritage is considered being united even though it isdiveded culturally, historically and linguistically.

Syftet med denna studie är att fördjupa vår förståelse för hur 12 unga människor med funktionshinder upplever sin levnadssituation. Detta vill vi uppnå genom att använda oss av kvalitativa intervjuer som datainsamlingsmetod med en hermeneutisk ansats. Vårt urval består av tolv informanter, fem kvinnor och sju män, som är mellan 20 och 30 år gamla. De typer av funktionshinder vi har valt att avgränsa oss till är olika typer av ryggmärgsskador som innebär att personerna är rullstolsbundna, olika grader av synskador samt en person som är amputerad. Studiens teoretiska perspektiv är Madis Kajandis definition och modell av livskvalitet samt mångfald.

The main purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine gender division in public libraries by reviewing literature and interviewing eight public librarians and two chief librarians. The reason why we decided to investigate this topic is the lack of research concerning sex-segregation in library and information science. By choosing this subject we intend to deepen the understanding of the significance of gender both within the public library and of the occupation in general. Some researchers claim that the low status of librarianship is a result of the large proportion of women in the profession. We want to find out how our informants view the relation between professional status and female domination.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether or not capitalism, viewed here as the system that is currently the dominant economic system in the Western world, can be seen as a modern myth or not. An author, Brian Tracy, of several popular self-help books is the target of this investigation and the language he uses in his books have been scrutinized in order to see whether or not he uses a religiously influenced, and more importantly, myth-creating language. In order to do so, Bruce Lincolns theories of myth have been used in correlation with Stefan Arvidssons definition ov myths. Also of interest is whether or not Tracy in his books uses any of the instruments of power defined by Michel Foucault to support his claims.The investigation shows that capitalism indeed can be seen as a modern myth. This claim is supported by the facts that Tracy not only uses a language heavily influenced by Christian texts and belief but furthermore because he descirbes himself and the people he claims to have helped in a way that strongly resembles the narratives of myths.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to study the organisational culture of two public libraries managed differently. One of the libraries in my study is run by the local bookstore and the other is run by a staff co-operative. My aim is to elucidate characteristic features in the culture of these two public library organisations. The questions I posed are which types of organisation culture can be identified in the two given examples and what the factors are that may be of importance for these cultures.

The purpose of the following thesis has been to study librarians' attitudes towards comics for grown up people. I have compared the attitudes among the staff in two public libraries in Sweden, Malmö public library and Lund public library. I have conducted five interviews with librarians and observed how the comics are handled in each library. I have also carried out a literary study of the history and theories of comics. Initially a definition of comics is presented, and then an overview of the development of comics and of some theories regarding them is offered.

Quality is a vague concept, it seems to be about a ?gut feeling? but is used as if it were a concrete property. This paper examines the defenition of the concept of quality, the relation between quality and gender equality and also what the representation between the genders in exhibitions, purchases and donations looks like in this day. As method for this paper text analysis, with searchlight on the two parameters of quality and equality, have been used on documents that provide a historical and a cultural policy perspective. The main part of the paper is an analysis of the visual arts on Värmlands museum, Kristinehamns konstmuseum and Rackstadmuseet.In the discussion of the paper, chapter 5, the result of the research is presented.

The world is getting smaller. Global markets, political processes and communication technology bring people together. Even though many of these processes are dynamic and constructive, they have also resulted in a need for better and more effective ways of international conflict resolution. This thesis investigates central issues connected to the concept of humanitarian interventions in relation to current and future legislation of the European Union. The overall question is whether the rapid globalization process has resulted in a change of international law towards more liberal view where authorization of the security council is not always needed? And, if there has actually been such a liberalization, how does that affect the legal possibilities for the European Union to carry out armed operations without the consent of the global community?The conclusion of the thesis is that international law has been modified mainly in two aspects: First, the concept of sovereignty is no longer seen merely as a right of the nation, but also as a responsibility.

This is a study about source criticism in Swedish health magazines in 2014 which is based on Torsten Thuréns positivist philosophy of science and formulations about source criticism. The thesis was based on the hypothesis that the Swedish health magazines are inadequate in their source-critical approach. To prove or disprove the hypothesis a quantitative content analysis of one hundred articles was made. The quantitative content analysis was based on twelve variables and the results showed that the hypothesis to some extent was true. The magazines reported their sources in most cases, but the majority of the sources consisted of various authorities such as doctors, psychologists, and personal trainers.

I denna studie har en intervention gjorts för att undersöka om det leda till att elever i lågstadiet får en större förståelse taluppfattning än innan. Utifrån förtester som gjordes i en årskurs 1 valdes fyra elever ut för att under sex tillfällen få delta i en intervention där de presenterades för olika användbara strategier vid räkning av olika matematikuppgifter. Efter varje tillfälle fick hela klassen, inklusive interventionsgruppen, göra tester för att se hur klassen utvecklas inom området gentemot interventionsgruppen. När interventionen var klar gjordes två eftertester för att se hur effekten av interventionen höll i sig.Resultatet visade att de flesta eleverna i interventionsgruppen fick ett bättre resultat än innan. Under interventionens gång kan man se att eleverna utvecklats och blivit mer säkra inom området taluppfattning.Inspirationen till detta arbete kom ifrån studier som bland annat Fueyo och Bushell Jr (1998) och Kaufmann, Handl och Thöny (2003) genomfört.

Kalmar Municipality has in 2008-2010 made an effort to educate managers on gender, with the goal of mainstreaming gender into public activities so that all citizens should feel safe in that treatment and services are designed and resources are distributed equally to both sexes living conditions and needs. The overall aim of this study was to examine whether the training effort has paid off, and how gender mainstreaming has been implemented in the different activities. We have used a qualitative approach, which we examined through interviews managers' approach to gender equality.Gender was generally described as an important issue of all respondents, and all were working to mainstream gender into their activities and workplaces. The results show that the operational and management needed clearer directives and strategies in their efforts to promote gender equality. Education was necessary because personal definition of gender may differ from the control contents of the documents.

Den här uppsatsen visar hur fyra kvinnliga författare debutromaner, från 1891-2000, har blivit mottagna. Undersökningen diskuterar hur kritiker förhåller sig till verken och författarnas kön. Undersökningen vill visa på hur kritikernas förhållningsätt till kvinnliga författare har förändrats under ett sekel. Vidare studeras vilka tendenser som påvisar att författarna har blivit recenserade med utgångspunkt i traditionella könsmönster. Vår teoretiska utgångspunkt är genus och uppsatsens metodologiska tillvägagångssätt utgörs av Ruth Wodaks definition av kritisk diskuranalys (CDA).  Resultatet visar att normen kring kvinnans ställning i samhället präglar hur litteraturkritiken bemöter kvinnliga författare. Den förändring som har skett under hundra år avspeglas även i mottagandet av romanerna. Summeringen är kritiken har tidigare haft ett tydligt fokus på författarens kön och en förmyndarartad hållning.

The definition of procrastination can be described as a behavior with deliberate postponement of tasks or commitments despite expected negative consequences for the individual and his or her environment. This study examined how widespread this behavior is among students in higher education in Sweden. Using a web-based survey, data was collected for analysis. A statistical program, SPSS, was used for evaluation of the collected data. The purpose of this study was to examine whether there are differences in the degree of procrastination between students located on campus versus students who do their education at distance.
