Dessutom vill vi försöka reda ut hur vi som [blivande] landskapsarkitekter anvÀnder oss av dessa ideologier och typologier i vÄr egen gestaltning.Avstampet tas i en kvalitativ dokumentanalys dÀr vi försöker sammanfatta och beskriva de stadsbyggnadsideologier som har haft störst betydelse för hur vÄra offentliga rum i, framförallt, europeiska stÀder ser ut.För att fördjupa förstÄelsen och uppnÄ en 1+1=3 effekt har vi valt att komplettera den mer beskrivande delen med en utforskande del i vilken vi i skissform sammanfattar ideologiernas principer. Metoden tycker vi stÀmmer bra överens med att vi de tre första Ären ofta fÄtt höra hur viktigt det Àr för förstÄelsen av en plats delar och helhet, att analysera platsen genom skissande.Till sist tar vi ett omvÀnt angreppssÀtt och söker med utgÄngspunkt i en egen design se spÄr av historiska principer och ideologier. För att göra jÀmförelsen mera överblickbar har vi anvÀnt en och samma plats till samtliga skisser.Slutsatsen blir att vi sjÀlva tar stor hÀnsyn till de principer som konstaterats fungera och att detta till stor del beror pÄ att de teorier som lanseras idag har just detta angreppssÀtt, att samla bra erfarenheter och göra dem Ànnu bÀttre..

Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att beskriva en av arkitekten Bernt Nybergs byggnader. Han utbildades pÄ KTH och examinerades Är 1952. Den utbildning som bedrevs pÄ KTH vid den tiden var prÀglad av modernismen. Bernt Nyberg visade redan under utbildningstiden ett stort intresse för tidigare arkitekturstilar och isynnerhet för klassicismen. Hans intresse för utprÀglad ordning tog sig uttryck i byggnader som kan hÀrledas till de geometriska grundformerna.I "Josephson" har han anvÀnt sig av kvadraten och kuben som utgÄngspunkt för rumsmodulens utformning.

The purpose of this master thesis is to examine how the relationship between humans and nature is expressed in the imaginative literature. My aim is to identify ideological reproductions in the analyzed works. Therefore I have chosen one work from late 19th century and one from late 20th century. This makes it possible to examine the contextual anchorage of the found ideological expressions. The study?s theoretical framework is primarily based on ecocriticism, and especially on Greg Garrard?s and Kate Soper?s thoughts.

The scope of this investigation is the conditions under which readings of Repulsion (1965), and its depicted mental illness, took place in Sweden during the censorship debates in 1965, and also how the reception was related to narration and subjectivity in the film. The reason for this is the strong reactions to the images of the main character?s inner state, and concerns about negative effects in the public, that were raised. One major concern is how the film articulates discourses through which meanings are produced; that is, how it works as social technology. My thesis is therefore structured around two levels; textual analysis and discourse analysis.

The aim of this essay is to investigate to which extent the novel Kvinnor och ÀppeltrÀd by Moa Martinson can be classified as a polyphonic novel. The concept polyphony was established in literary theory by the Russian language theorist and literary critic Michail Bachtin in 1929, in his book Problems of Dostoevsky?s poetics. In order to understand and comprehend the concept of polyphony I have used an interpretation due to the literature scholar Robyn McCallum. She notes that the characters in a polyphonic novel function as focalizers.

Genom att undersöka nÄgra samtida tidskrifter försöker uppsatsen Àven utröna hur Hjorth mottogs under sin egen tid, samt varför han var förtigen i svenskdesignhistoria sÄ lÀnge.I uppsatsen ingÄr flera möbelanalyser vilka syftar till att beskriva Hjorths stil och bredd samt tidens smak. Uppsatsen visar att Axel Einar Hjorth ofta ritade internationellt orienterade möbler i ren art déco, men ocksÄ stilmöbler, funktionalistiska seriemöbler m.m. Art déco var en stilriktning under mellankrigstiden, men i Sverige talar vi ofta om ?Swedish Grace? eftersom mycket konsthantverk under denna tid fick ett nÄgot svalare klassicistiskt uttryck Àn övriga lÀnders.

English abstractTitle: Islam and the limitations of the public will of choice.The purpose of this paper have been to investigate how three modern Islamic theorists view the limitations of the public free will of choice based upon their interpretation of the Islamic theology and doctrine.The paper focuses to highlight how all three chosen Islamic theorist interpret the Islamic doctrine based upon my elected theses and more specifically pinpoint were the free will of choice ends, and Islam as a religion starts to take hegemony. The paper?s aim is to further an understanding that in the modern world and as a effect of increased literacy, Islam has been somewhat inclined to split into several Islamisms, based upon the variety of fatwa?s on the Islamic doctrine that is available online. Therefore it remains to the modern day Muslim, to individually decide whether they choose to follow the message of the Holy revelation in the Quran or trust a mufti?s fatwa in their everyday life as a Muslim.The material used and analyzed in this paper is prime source material.

In the post-war era many European countries were recovering from the ravages of the bombings of the second world war destroying whole countries. Sweden being neutral was spared the destruction of war but instead we demolished almost as much housing all by ourselves. A social program was modeled to modernize the country and to drag the swedes out of poverty by building one million apartments in just ten years and demolishing the old, dilapidated working-class neighborhoods. The traumatic events of the demolition of large areas of both the central and the outskirts of most Swedish cities is still very much present in the collective memory of people today and the new modernistic districts are still paying the price of that, more than fifty years later. Today these modernistic districts are in need of repair, and they are often homes to groups alienated from society making their reputation even worse.

FöremÄlet för min undersökning Àr Karin Boyes roman Kris och intentionen har varit att finna en nytolkning av den ofta biografiskt lÀsta texten. Syftet var att redogöra för hur romanen synliggör samtidens patriarkala maktordning som genomsyrar samhÀllets auktoriteter och reducerar det kvinnliga subjektet. Undersökningen har ocksÄ innefattat hur huvudpersonen Malin tar sig ur krisen genom att ÄterupprÀtta egenviljan och erkÀnna driften som en naturlig del av jaget.     Med utgÄngspunkt i textens litterÀra kvaliteter och med ett kritiskt feministiskt perspektiv har jag analyserat framstÀllningen av romanens kritiska tendens som ett uttryck för kvinnlig frigörelse. Malin genomgÄr en vÀrdemÀssig identitetskris vilket Àr romanens centrala tema och samtidigt en möjlig allegori över samtidens sociala omvÀlvningar. Krisen utgörs av en inre splittring dÀr uppbrottet frÄn traditionella och religiösa förordningar Àr den enda rÀddningen undan sjÀlvutplÄning.

This essay examines the poetry of the Swedish writer Ivar Conradson (1885-1968). Itanalyzes his work in the context of the European literary scene of the late 19th century, inparticular symbolism and impressionism. Conradson has been considered a symbolist and amysticist by critics and scholars, who claim that his poetry expresses a strong religious ethos,influenced by biblical rhetoric as regards style.While this study does not refute the common view of Conradson, it argues that his earlyworks differ from his later works, where indeed religious and mystical themes can be found.This difference can thus be seen both on stylistic and thematic levels. Using the structuralistmethod of Roman Jakobson and Jurij Lotman, and a phenomenological analysis based on thephilosophy of Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Hannah Arendt, this study examines bothsymbolist and impressionist stylistic devices and themes in Conradson?s literary debutSkyarne (1906).

The main discussion in this essay concern what the Emerging Church is, its sociological and theological context, their main critique of modernism and the consequences in theology and praxis. EC is not a new church but wants to be a new way of being church. In England much of the discussion concerning EC has found a context within the report Mission-Shaped Church (MSC). EC differs from Emergent Village which is a continuing discussion from a postmodern philosophical view.EC is born in an evangelical context with the tensions in the postmodern context, the liminal situation with among other items the disussion about a liquid culture and liquid church. Other backgroundfactors are the ChurchGrowth-movement, Willow Creek and the Gospel and Our Culture.EC critisizes its evangelical background and moves the center from justification to incarnation, from propostionalism, individualism, mission and activism to a theology of incarnational community life.Four different proponents are considered; Brian Mclaren, Dan Kimball, Karen Ward and Ben Edson.

This thesis explores how art produced in the former GDR has been looked upon, handled and exhibited after the reunification of Germany in 1990. Swedish Art History has paid little attention to art in the GDR. The debate starting in the 50s between the spokesmen for abstract art and the defenders of figuration restrained for a long period the ability to look upon art from the GDR without prejudices. This led to a rejection of all figurative art in the GDR and sweeping judgmental attitudes, like itÂŽs all ?kitsch?.

The Swedish public library was founded in the years when the society in Sweden went from being a society of agriculture to industrialism. Modernism was sweeping over the country, everything was possible, which influenced the new society that was built. Now Sweden was going to be a true democracy with responsible and empathic citizens. One of the main tools in this process was to educate people, to get them to read and write and the public library fitted very well into these new ideas. It represented a place, free of charge, where everyone could go to take part of the knowledge and cultural learning that they needed in order to become the citizen that the society required.
