This paper describes the development of a simulation model for the ambulance flow in the Västra Götalands-region of Sweden, and an analysis tool for the output of the simulation model. The aim of the simulation model was to be able to evaluate the outcome from changes in the ambulance operations, such as a reorganization of ambulances or an increase in intensity of the ambulance calls. This evaluation is meant to serve as decision support for the strategic planning of the ambulance operations. The analysis tool was developed to visualize the abundant geographical data produced by the simulation model in a meaningful way. The simulation model was validated against historical data which showed that the dispatch time for the highest prioritized ambulance calls corresponds well with historical data.

Det här examensarbetet undersöker hur en databaslösning kan utformas för simuleringsbaserad ruttoptimering. Då det finns få relaterade arbeten inom ämnet syftar detta arbete till att undersöka hur en lämplig databaslösning kan utformas och ge riktlinjer för detta. Databaslösningen innefattar både lagring av data samt åtkomst och hantering av data. Då simuleringsbaserad optimering ofta är avancerad innebär detta att en stor och komplex mängd data måste hanteras. Simulator och optimerare använder denna data under själva optimeringsprocessen, vilket ställer krav på effektivitet och snabb åtkomst. Arbetet är inriktat på ett praktiskt problem där sophantering av containrar simuleras och optimeras.

In this degree project the focus is on the technical manuals of Scania?s Workshop Manual. Today, the information in the Workshop Manual consists of collaboration between text and illustrations.

The Swedish National Heritage Board (RAÄ) is the agency of the Swedish government responsible for heritage and historic environment issues. During the last couple of years the agency has implemented a new management control system, the balanced scorecard, originally developed for profit driven organizations. Organizations within the public sector have other objectives than profit seeking organizations, and there have been difficulties in applying the balanced scorecard model in the public sector. Therefore we find it interesting to examine the reasons behind these difficulties and believe that some answers can be found in the identification process of the balanced scorecard. Therefore we aim to perform a case study of RAÄ and explain how the identification process of the components of their balanced scorecard can affect further usage of the model as a management control tool.

The vast majority of parents want their children to succeed and become successful in one way or the other. The very first is that the child will graduate from school. In today?s society which is characterized by career-driven parents, especially mothers, one wonders if somewhere along the way parents are prioritizing their own careers over their children?s school achievements. This might be true in some cases, but in others it could merely be that parents are expecting more from their children?s future.

An argument driven in the essay is that identity and oppression is not constituted from one subject position, but from several, such as class, sexuality and gender. The first question posed is how "race" is constituted through discourses throughout the subject positions class, sexuality and gender.

Background:Life-cycle costing (LCC) is an investment calculation that takes intoaccount operating costs throughout the investee lifecycle. LCC calculations are mainly usedto evaluate investments that have no revenue side. Attempts to apply the LCC calculations forbuilding-related investments have occurred since the 1980s. Despite the advantages ofusing LCC calculations, use has not passed through in full. The main obstacles have beenidentified as a lack of relevant input data, and insufficient experience of workingwith LCC calculations.

The goal of this thesis is to analyse whether the method ?Observiaire? is of any use for traffic analysis. The method consists of analysing film material, preferably before and after changes are made to an area, by answering a survey for the users that are observed within the population. The method also opens up for deeper qualitative analyses which are rooted in the quantitative data collected from the survey-study. In this study we analyse the method by applying it to the case study of the changes made at Götgatan in Stockholm, where a green wave was implemented and the bicycle road widened.

Detta examensarbete är utfört vid Volvo Cars Torslanda i Göteborg. I Torslandafabriken produceras fyra olika bilmodeller, S80, V70, XC70 och XC90, vid ett och samma monteringsflöde. Då monteringsarbetet sker vid en driven line upplever de anställda att produktionstakten är hög. Dessutom innebär de olika modellerna ett stort antal arbetsmoment. Problemet för Volvo är att nå uppsatta kvalitetsmål då det höga arbetstempot och det stora antalet arbetsmoment begränsar montörernas möjlighet till att snabbt komma upp i nödvändigt arbetstempo.

At Flight and Systems test Saab AB, a post-processing software is used to process GPS data. A new software by the name GrafNav has been purchased and the purpose of this master thesis therefore became, partly to make a judgment regarding GrafNav?s ability to estimate position, velocity and accuracy, partly to if needed improve the estimate and finally find one or several methods to estimate the position and velocity accuracy. The judgment of GrafNav was performed partly by a comparison to the former post-processing software (PNAV) and partly by a comparison to the airplane?s inertial navigation system (INS).

The world is changing and the business context is no exception. One of the clearest tendencies is a tougher business climate with harder competition due to increased international trade and the expansion of the e-business. At the same time the customers are becoming more sophisticated and demanding. The last decades have also meant that tougher and more frequent demands are being aimed at the businesses from a wider variety of stakeholders; demands regarding how environmental issues, social responsibilities and business ethics should be dealt with. All of the above have driven companies towards implementation of different management systems to be able to cope with the demands as well as to ensure that these issues are being dealt with in an efficient and effective manner.

Examensarbetet går ut på att utreda vad verktyg vid volatil-data-utvinning (Reeve & Shipley, 2006) orsakar för förändringar på ett datasystem. Volatil-data är information som försvinner när datasystemet stängs av och kan vara nödvändig t.ex. när man försöker läsa en krypterad hårddisk, då krypteringsnyckeln (Casey, et al., 2011) kan finnas i (Random Access Memory) RAM-minnet som är volatilt. I IT-brottslighetens barndom utvecklades (Brown, 2009) metoder för att påverkan på ett datasystem vid ett beslag skulle bli så liten som möjligt. Detta gjordes för att beviset man får från datasystemet skulle hålla i en rättgång och gick ofta ut på att slå av strömmen på datasystemet.
