The brown bear population in Alberta, Canada has been decreasing, while the Swedish has been increasing and all the affecting parameters are not known. This study examined the difference in these populations to see if an explanation could be found in differences between the forest management. The aim of the paper was to see if stand treatments had an influence of brown bears habitat selection in autumn in Sweden and how the results can be used in Alberta. This was done by analyzing bear positions in Sweden with forest data, and comparing forest management data for the study area in Sweden with forest management data for Alberta. The results displayed that mature forests over 60 years that have been commercially thinned are selected by bears rather than forests over 60 years that have not been commercially thinned in.

Scania Top Team is a competition where the best mechanics in the world are competing against each other. In 2011, the world final was recorded and this material is now used to see which problem solving strategies these top of the line teams are using to solve the realistic problems assembled in front of them. To help them, the mechanics are allowed to use two of Scanias IT-systems: Scania Multi and Scania Diagnose and Programmer 3. This report consists of two parts. The first part is the development of a method to analyze the recorded material.

In this thesis work a Geographical Information System (GIS) based methodology to identify locations suitable for the installation of wave energy converters has been developed. Parameters of importance have been identified and a GIS-database has been set up, containing data about the marine environment. In a case study of the Swedish west coast the methodology has been applied, resulting in a number of maps showing possible areas. The results show that large areas are suitable for installation of wave energy converters, from a technical and economical point of view. When consideration is taken to other interests in the area, such as navigation, fishing and environmental protection, the size of the suitable area diminishes considerably.

He argues that this is partly due to the globalization of the information society, which is making it possible for recipes to spread rapidly. An area affected of this is purchasing, where many new strategic and organizational concepts have been developed. Nowadays, people argue that ?every penny saved in the procurement function, is an extra penny in profit? and that purchasing decisions affect the entire company and its performance.

Detta examensarbete har gått ut på att med hjälp av vibrations- och temperaturmätningar göra ett system för slitageestimering av stridsfordon. Denna rapport är en av två delar som ingår i detta projekt. Projektet är utfört vid Land Systems Hägglunds anläggning i Örnsköldsvik. Utrustningen som tagits fram är tänkt att vara en liten och billig utrustning som monteras i alla fordon för att under drift lagra hur stora påfrestning fordonet utsatts för. Utrustningen är uppbyggd kring en mikroprocessor i form av en digital signalprocessor.

I uppsatsen har jag undersökt hur sambandet mellan handelsliberalisering och barnarbete ser ut. Uppsatsen inleds med en teori om internationell handel för att tydliggöra vad som sker inom ett land vid en liberalisering av handeln. Därefter presenteras tre olika teorier från mikroteoretiskt nivå som beskriver sambandet mellan handelsliberalisering och barnarbete utifrån olika perspektiv. Varje teori följs upp av ett avsnitt där empiriska data från Vietnam analyseras med hjälp av teorin för att koppla samman teorin med verkligheten. Jag har valt att fokusera på Vietnam för att det är ett bra typexempel av ett u-land som öppnat upp landet för handel med andra länder de senaste årtiondet.

I takt med den teknologiska utveckling och globalisering som framskridit de senaste åren, har det blivit allt viktigare att kunna fatta rätt beslut utifrån data som finns till-gänglig. För att kunna fatta rätt beslut är det betydelsefullt att data är i rätt form och erhålls i rätt tid. Som stöd för detta kan beslutstödssystem användas, vilken möjliggör att användare kan utföra analyser.Att införa ett datalager är en tidskrävande och kostsam process. Enligt Butler och Sammon (2000) är det endast 50 % av datalagerprojekten som blir framgångsrika. Forskare har identifierat ett antal faktorer som bör tas i akt för att undvika misslycka-de projekt.Detta examensarbete syftar till att göra en sammanställning av de framgångsfaktorer som forskare identifierat.

Data hämtades från den longitudinella studien;Tvillingstudie om riskfaktorer för antisocialt beteende (RFAB) vidUniversity of Southern California och data från pågående tillfälle 5inkluderades i studien. Resultatet visade på betydelsen av bådegenetiska och icke-gemensamma miljö influenser förklarade varianseni obetingad respons. I överensstämmelse med tidigare forskningvisade resultaten att individer som visade på högre nivåer avmanipulativt och svekfullt beteende också uppvisade större brister irädslobetingelser..

Introduction: Malnutrition leads to loss of health and coexists with disease and loss of function. A good nutritional status becomes more important the older you get to maintain a good health. Studies show that it is important to identify and prevent malnutrition in its early stages. Men and women recieve different medical treatment in a number of different medical diseases. There are few studies in nursing from av gender perspective.Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the prevalence of malnutrition in the elderly in Västra Götaland with focus on gender differences when it comes to prevalence and nursing interventionsMethod: A register study with av quantitative approach is conducted to answer the aim.

Teori: Teorin baserar sig på lojalitet och är hämtad från Barroso och Picon (2012). Det centrala i teorin är flerdimensionellt begrepp av lojalitet. Vår teoretiska modell är fullt testbar. Metod: En kvantitativ metod har använts under denna undersökning. Det har samlats in data från personal och kunder genom elektroniska enkäter.

Finns det någon skillnad i upplevd stress hos förskolepedagoger och grundskollärare? Stress hos lärare kan definieras som en känsla av ilska, spändhet, frustration eller depression. Enligt Krav- kontroll-stödmodellen mår de som har jobb med höga krav, låg kontroll och dåligt socialt stöd sämst på jobbet. En kvantitativ studie har gjorts där enkäter delats ut till lärare på förskolan och grundskolan i en mindre ort i Sverige. Data jämfördes sedan med data från en större ort i Sverige.

Länsstyrelsen i Stockholms län hade en projektidé som gick ut på att det skulle skapas en Internetbaserad ansökan för körkortstillstånd med behörighet B, inklusive hälsodeklaration. Även en optiker skulle kunna fylla i ett synundersökningsformulär via webben. Dessa skulle sedan knytas ihop för behandling av den Länsstyrelse där den sökande bor. Alla personer som skall använda tjänsten måste inneha ett personligt medborgarcertifikat som används för elektronisk signering av ansökan. Optikern behöver ett företagscertifikat för att identifiera sig.

In this report we examine the NFC (Near Field Communication) technology as far as the development has come until today. We adress different use areas and explain the technical funcionality. By using data collection methods as a specialist interview and also a survery we want to detect potential risks and safety-issues in implementation of the new technology. Our main-focus in this report is to examine how NFC can play an important role in the developement of social interaction and social media. By compiling our data and research materials we will analyze and present a report conslusion.

The purpose of this study was to explore the state of female prostitution in the city of Tehran, and besides, analyze the elements that can lead women to harlotry in Iran. This research is based on three sources of information: firstly, interviews with three harlots in Tehran and I got help of a semi-structured interview guide. Secondly, I discussed prostitution with conscious resources that worked within the public services in Tehran and had experienced of working with female prostitutes. Thirdly I analyzed texts and reports about prostitution in Iran. The data from interviews are tied to two theories: symbolic interactionism and feminism.
