Serier, film och adaption. Detta är tre ord som den senaste tiden har blivit allt mer förknippade med varandra. Med titlar som Spider-man (Sam Raimi, 2002), The Dark Knight (Christpher Nolan,2008) och The Avengers (Josh Whedon, 2012) har serier satt sitt avtryck i filmhistorien. Men hur ser dessa båda medium ut och vad är det som gör adaptioner av serier så attraktiva? Detta kommer undersökas närmare i denna uppsats.

I takt med de alltmer påtagliga miljöproblemen såsom klimatförändringar och minskning av biologisk mångfald har behovet av att agera ekologiskt hållbart blivit allt viktigare. Majoriteten av organisationer är idag eniga om att de har ett ansvar till bidragande av ett mer ekologiskt hållbart ageranade. Sveriges kommuner har ett ansvar att agera utifrån miljömål på en lokal nivå. Grön IS är ett begrepp som syftar till hur informationssystem kan stödja organisationer till att upprätta mer ekologiskt hållbara verksamhetsprocesser. Studiens syfte är att påvisa vilka strategiska orsaker som kan ligga till grund för tillämpning av grön IS för en svensk kommun.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka begreppet ?mjuk makt?. Mjuk makt är en relativt ny term som myntades av statsvetaren Joseph Nye år 1990. Sedan dess har detta nya begrepp förändrat hur vi ser på internationell makt. Genom användandet av attraktion och lockelse använder sig stater av mjuk makt för att få inflytande.

A concept that implies a closed cycle, where visitor?s needs are met in balance with what can be given back, without risking creating imbalances in society. Along the coast of Lake Victoria, valuable papyrus wetlands provide Kisumu vital ecosystem services such as water purification, climate adaptation while it also serves as a reservoir for biodiversity.

To exemplify the last-mentioned I have studied the voices of the three singers Jenny Lind,  Christina Nilsson and Signe Hebbe (there are no recordings of any of them).The essay contains two major parts. In the first I describe the technique of the Garcia- and Lamperti-schools and their views on registers, vibrato and messa di voce, ending with a summarizing analysis of the 19th century vocal ideals.

The purpose of this study is to examine how a particular niche in tourism can attract international visitors to a certain destination. To do this, the Swedish food culture was used as a tool to find out how it is marketed to attract international visitors to Sweden. International visitors today wants to find destinations with a rich culture, authentications and traditions to get closer to the destinations identity. The study examines how three of the biggest companies, who works with the promotion of Sweden to an international audience, using the Swedish food culture as a marketing tool. Even though the American author H.P. Lovecraft (1890-1937) has been praised as one of the most influential writers of horror literature in the 20th century, his style of writing has occasionally been criticized. Lovecraft was using a writing style based on strict scientific language, where the human condition and existence are irrelevant in the narrative. This includes less focus on character development and more on the importance of atmosphere and environments. I am presenting narratological analyzes of what is often considered to be three of Lovecraft?s ?greatest works?: ?The Call of Cthulhu?, At the Mountains of Madness, and ?The Shadow over Innsmouth.? These analyzes are used to highlight Lovecraft?s science-oriented language and narratological techniques, with the focus of studying what methods Lovecraft was using to give his works and his readers a sense of dread, hopelessness, and an alien atmosphere.

This paper was written at the Baltic Business School in Kalmar. The purpose was to analyze and determine the importance of packaged holidays within the tourism and travel sector and how value can be created for the customer. This have been done with a focus on the chosen parts; customer needs and how packaging can create value, how companies can work to give the customer increased value through packaging, last but not least how companies segment the market and if there are specific segments that prefer packaging. We have applied the qualitative method through conducting four face-to-face interviews and one phoneinterview. The purpose of this paper is not to generalize, but to show patterns in the chosen subject.

Norden är i dagsläget en framstående del av världen när det kommer till hållbar utveckling och hållbar turism. Många satsningar görs för att förbättra de tre dimensionerna, ekonomiskt, socialt och ekologiskt som ingår i begreppet hållbarhet. Uppsatsen har syftet att undersöka hållbar turism och utveckling ur ett nordiskt, svenskt och regionalt perspektiv där Sigtuna kommun står i fokus på det regionala planet. I denna kvalitativa undersökning visas exempel på bra och mindre bra satsningar som görs på nämnda nivåer. Även hur hållbar turismutveckling kan tillämpas ur ett nätverksperspektiv är ett huvuddel.

Psychological research concerning correction of stereotypes has mainly focused on how individuals adjust their negative attitude towards the out-group due to the apprehension of appearing prejudiced in front of out-grouprepresentatives. This study though, does not deal with estimations of the qualities of the out-group; it deals with estimations of the qualities of the in-group. Does Swedes correct their estimations of their own group when the experiment leader is of another ethnicity and has a different colour of skin? The participants were students at Halmstad Högskola and they were all born and raised in Sweden. Half the participants got to meet a Swedish born, white skinned experiment leader, whereas the other group got to meet an African born, dark skinned experiment leader.

Carbon offsetting means to offset those greenhouse gases that are caused by our actions. The purpose of this paper is to examine how companies are working with carbon offsetting. The focus of the research is how travel agencies and companies that provides carbon offsetting. The writers also highlight the problems carbon offsetting is facing. The study was performed with qualitative methods through interviews with three companies working with carbon offsetting.

Metodvalen kom sig av att vi ämnade pröva huruvida antagandena överensstämde med varumärket Småland för att kunna bekräfta eller förkasta dem.SlutsatsVarumärket Småland besitter medvetna såväl som omedvetna sinnesstimuli, vilka kräver strategier för att förhindra att underliggande och oavsiktliga budskap förmedlas.

The media industry, and especially the news, in Sweden is living in a dark world that seems to get even darker by the minute. According to Nordicom (2013) the number of readers in the ages 15-24 has dropped by 24 percentage points between 2007 and 2012. This is a big problem for the news industry, but also for democracy that require citizens that are well-read and know what is going on in society. Enda and Mitchel (2013) found that 65% of people in the USA have stopped reading a certain news source since it no longer fits their needs. Maybe with a better understanding for young adults needs this trend can change.This qualitative study was conducted using interviews with eight respondents to find out why young adults who study at a university consume news.

Denna uppsats handlar om föräldraskap, familjen och individualiseringens påverkan på individen.Individualisering är en övergripande process som pågår i samhället. Den medverkar till att individen ska fokusera på den individuella och därmed motsäga sig det kollektiva. Individualiseringen har lett till osäkra förhållanden för människan.
