Kiruna Wagon konstruerar och tillverkar järnvägsvagnar för transporter inom gruvindustrin. En av deras produkter är Taimn091 en vagn för transport av kopparslig. Vagnarna rullar idag mellan Bolidens koppargruva i Aitik och smältverket i Skellefteå. Eftersom vagnen transporterar koppar har den ett tak monterat för att förhindra kopparsliget från att läcka ut i naturen. Taket öppnas idag med hydrauliska cylindrar via ett hydrauliskt aggregat som kopplas in till vagnarna vid laststationen.

To get an optimal print result with rotogravure on improved newsprint, MF-paper, knowledge aboutwhat adjustment that should be done through the whole production is needed. This degree project investigatesthe reproduction?s effect on the final print result.A test print is done at Quebecor World Nordic Interprint´s regular print unit. The evaluation of theprint shows how important the use of a unit adjusted ICC-profile is for the print quality. A comparisonbetween the two separation methods GCR and UCR shows that Interprint´s present ICC-profile, usingUCR as separation method, gives less missing dots.

Simplicity, intimacy, freedom and one single threadcharacterize the knitting technique.In my project, I have studied ways of creating three-dimensional shape and structure using single threads and various knitting techniques. I applied my ideas in a collaboration with the singer Sofia Karlsson. The focus has been to design a portable object that can be used in pictures for the cover and promotion of her upcoming album.The material I studied, processed and used in creating the three-part object was linen. In the center stands a collar, that changes expression depending on how it is worn and which side is turned towards the outside. The collar interacts with a Cylinder for her hands and a hairnet.

Dione kullager AB is a company in Uppsala, which sell industrialmachinecomponents, transmissionsolutions and provides repair serviceof hydraulic components.When a hydraulic Cylinder is about tobe repaired it needs to bedisassembled. Because hydraulicCylinders usually work in dirtyenvironments and are heavilyworn some types of Cylinders arealmost impossible to disassemble.Today the disassemble is made by hand,which means extra work for themechanics. In order to facilitate thedismantling of this type of Cylindersa machine is to be developed for thispurpose and this is where this thesisbegins.The thesis has been organized in threephases: Literature study in whichfacts and theories are acquired.Concept generation in which differentconcepts, calculations, and solutionswere identified and selected. Thedesign phase where all the differentconcepts of components were assembledand simulated in SolidWorks. Similarstructures have also been studied inorder to identify necessary functions.The thesis resulted in a structurewhich is believed to meet therequirements.

Examensarbete utfördes på CA-Verken i Sävsjö som bl.a. tillverkar hydraulcylindrar. De senaste två år har CA-Verken haft en kraftig ökning av omsättningen och det som står i vägen för fortsatt expansion är produktionen som har begränsad kapacitet.Målet med detta arbete är att studera CA-Verkens produktionsflöde för att kunna identifiera flaskhalsen/flaskhalsarna och därefter ge förslag på lösningar och förbättringar. Den teorin som har använts som grund till arbetet är Theory of Constraints (TOC). Intervjuer, företagets affärssystem och observationer har använts vid datainsamling.

Anledningarna till att använda sig av en trådlös signalöverföring i en industri kan vara många, oftast handlar det om ställen där det är svårt eller omöjligt att ha en trådad förbindelse. I det här fallet är det en sedimenteringsbassäng där man tar hand om processvatten från industrin. Bassängen är utformad som en Cylinder där vattnet rinner genom olika avdelningar för att minska innehållet av sediment. I bassängen cirkulerar en plattform med diverse omrörare och skrapor på. The purpose of this study was to investigate how elevated levels of heavy metals affect the faunal species composition, abundance and species-diversity. The bentic macroinvertebrate fauna in the highly polluted lake Tisken was compared with the bentic macroinvertebrate fauna in the unpolluted lake Varpan. Mine wastes account for most of the metal that is discharged into Tisken. The hypotheses was that the heavy metal pollutions in lake Tisken influenced the species composition, abundance and diversity of the macroinvertebrates. Twenty samples were taken in both sites.

Detta examensarbete utfördes våren 2006 på teknikkonsultföretaget Cidema Skellefteå AB. Målet med examensarbetet är att skapa ett offertunderlag i form av en konstruktion av en transportbana till måleriet på ett snickeri. Banans huvudsakliga uppgift är förvaring av nymålade fönsterbågar under torkningen av färgen. Banan ska vara placerad högt under taket för att inte påverka övrigt arbete i lokalen Längs banan ska det finnas två stationer, en för spackling och en för målning. Mellan stationerna ska det finnas buffertar för att fönsterbågarna ska lagras mellan de olika momenten i ytbehandlingen.

Mechanical harvesting may result in timber damages leading to reduced saw log quality. The initiator of this study was VIDA ? a privately owned concern operating in the value-adding process industry of forest raw materials. The aim of this study was to examine the type and amount of damages on Alvestakubb caused by the harvester head during the cutting process. The aim was also to compare the damages caused by different types of feed rollers and to evaluate the effects of temperature on damage occurrence.

This study was made on former agricultural areas that had been planted with spruce or pine, in the county of Västerbotten. The goal of the project was to investigate suspected deficiency of boron in these areas. Several objects have been reported for possible deficiency and some of these have the characteristic symptoms of boron-deficiency. The hypotheses are that 1) Boron deficiency is present at several of the investigated objects. 2) Planting of forest on cultivated postglacial sediments leads to a successive podzolisation with a decreasing content of organic matter in the mineral soil, due to decomposition, and a decreasing pH in the soil, even on locations that have been added lime. To be able to confirm or reject the hypotheses a number of tests were performed.

På Brokks maskiner sitter det idag ett mekaniskt redskapsfäste. Redskapsfästet spänns fast i en adapterplatta med hjälp av en kil som slås in med en kraftig hammare. Det är sedan på adapterplattan som redskapet fästs. På grund av det extra arbetet som måste utföras för att säkra att redskapet sitter fast samt den ökade risken för personskador när kilen ska slås in som Brokk nu vill byta ut det mekaniska redskapsfästet mot ett hydrauliskt eller elektriskt redskapsfäste. Några krav som ställs på den nya lösningen är att den ska ha en säker låsning, styras hydrauliskt eller med el, bör vara fullt utbytbar mot det nuvarande redskapsfästet samt bör bestå av en robust konstruktion.

Mekaniska system har länge varit av intresse för vetenskapenoch vår förmåga att matematiskt beskriva dess dynamikär mycket god. Att effektivt kunna härleda de nödvändigaekvationerna är dock inte trivialt och uttryckensom bildas är ofta icke-linjära differentialekvationer som ejleder till explicita lägesbeskrivningar av de rörliga komponenterna.Idag finns kraftfulla matematiska metoder ochdatorverktyg som möjliggör simulering av relativt komplicerademekaniska system vilket denna rapport ägnats åtatt undersöka med hjälp av exempelsystem. Två utvaldamekaniska systems beteenden med varierande begynnelsevillkorhar undersökts med hjälp av datorsimuleringar. Detförsta systemet har bestått av två pendlar med en fjäderfastspänd mellan pendeländarna. Det andra systemet harbestått av en fritt rullande Cylinder på horisontellt underlagmed två pendlar fastspända på änden.
