In today?s society the average person is flooded by information from everywhere. This is in particular the case when using the Internet; consider for a moment the fact that a decent search engine at this moment scans 8 058 million homepages. For a user that repeatedly comes back to the same site, the case is often that they know what they are looking for. The problem is to isolate the important information from all the other information embedding it.We would like to state that we have found one possible solution to this problem, where the user himself can define what information he is looking for at a specific server, then scan the server when visiting it with his browser.

The county hospital of Dalarna has for the last couple of years carried through a process of digitalization. The result is that within the county it exists image plate systems from two different manufacturers. In an attempt to create a tool for dose optimization and dose surveillance the county of Dalarna would like to investigate if the exposure index from Agfa and Fuji is suitable as a dose indicator. An investigation of the exposure index, S, from Fuji has already been done. This thesis has been continuing the investigation by evaluating the stability of the exposure index, lgM, from Agfa.

Computers together with Internet have been growing enormously, during the last decade and the area of information technology has been growing in the same speed. As long as the surrounding environment evolves, the business models must within the IT-area, keep the same pace. So, how do business corporations handle this change to attract customers? How do the dominant business models look like? In many cases, they are apparently much the same. But what differences can we see and what areas can be improved? We have showed that the IT area isn?t just one, it consist of several segments.

Denna uppsats belyser hur frekvent de svenska kvällstidningarna Aftonbladet Sportbladet ochSport-Expressen rapporterar kring damfotboll, men även hur gestaltningen i rapporteringenförändrats. För att kunna se denna förändring har åren 2009 och 2013 undersökts för attjämföra dessa två år med varandra. Dessa årtal valdes för att de var mästerskapsår därEuropamästerskapet för damer spelades i Finland respektive Sverige.Den kvantitativa delen i studien genomfördes för att besvara frågan om frekvensen och ivilken gestaltning rapporteringen kring damfotbollen sker. Studien genomfördes genom attundersöka tidningarna från den 1 januari till den 31 oktober under både 2009 och 2013. Denkvalitativa delen i studien skedde genom en samtalsintervju med Sport-Expressens sportchefAnders Nettelbladt, för att få svar på hur hans redaktion tänker kring damfotboll.Undersökningens resultat visar en ökning av bevakningen av damfotboll.

In part this paper is a contribution to the ongoing Swedish discussion about our public structures. The discussion has picked up speed in the last years thanks to a government backed committee trying to come up with a suggestion to make our public sector more efficient. A big part of the debate is about the independence and work of our municipalities, what they should do, what they shouldn?t do and when the state should step in and take over. I make a theoretical investigation into one of these issues, the one about job creation.

Insecticides will be removed from Swedish forestry, at present insecticides are used to treat our seedlings to avoid them from being attacked by pine weevils. With the forthcoming ban on insecticides alternative protective measures will have to be tested. Holmen Forest Ltd has aimed to find an alternative and have developed a mechanic pine weevils protection accessory as well as a new concept on planting pipes. Studies have been conducted on the behalf of Holmen Forest Ltd to see how planting with the newly developed mechanical protectors and plant pipe stands up against the conventional methods used today. The study was conducted over a three week period. Three factors were compared regarding planting quality including i) pressure around the plant, ii) the depth the plant ended up in, iii) plant angle. Mechanical plant pipes were used in the study, and where tested like a one-handed and a two-handed pipe. The study concludes that further development is needed for the mechanic plant protector to live up to the speed and quality of conventional methods.

De flesta kommuner i Sverige arbetar idag på något sätt för att minska biltrafiken. Så även Göteborgs stad som menar att ?biltrafiken ska minska till förmån för resande med kollektivtrafik och cykel?. Upp till hälften av restiden med kollektivtrafik tillbringas på bytespunkten, ändå är det en plats som lätt glöms bort. Syftet med den här uppsatsen har varit att undersöka vilka aspekter som påverkar bytespunktens attraktivitet samt att genomföra en fallstudie på två bytespunkter i Göteborg. I fallstudien har bytespunkterna Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen och Marklandsgatan undersökts. Detta har gjorts med hjälp av en checklista skapad efter den forskning och de teorier som nämns i uppsatsens kunskaps- och forskningsöversikt.

The study evaluated the Mutant Prevention Concentration (MPC) of Pradofloxacin on three Escherichia coli (E.coli) strains, 2 wildtypes and one first-step gyrA resistant mutant. We also measured the value of AUC (Under the Concentration)/MPC that prevents growth of resistant mutants. It is of importance to reach a concentration above MPC that prevent E.coli from developing resistance against the antibiotic.We used an in vitro kinetic model where we added bacteria? and antibiotic. The culture flask was attached to a pump with an adjustable pump-speed.

I svalhallen vid SSAB i Luleå sker det en omfattande energiförlust till omgivningen då stora mängder nyproducerat stål svalnar. I detta examensarbete studeras möjligheten att ta till vara den energin för att producera el med hjälp av Organisk Rankine Cykel (ORC) teknik. En viktig förbehållning är att inte nuvarande stålproduktion på något sätt får hindras. I arbetet undersöktes svalhallens förutsättningar och möjliga hinder för installation av en ORC. Det gjordes även en litteraturstudie över olika värmeväxlingssätt som kan appliceras på svalnande stålämnen.

This paper is about employees' opinion towards libraries. The target group consists of employees at industrial research institutes in Sweden. Libraries offer several more services today than they have done before. I think many people do not recognise all of them and I also think the knowledge and the opinion about libraries have to do with use of them. Since I am curious about if this is true or not the purpose of this essay is to find out, through an attitude research, the employees', at industrial research institutes, opinion about library service.

Neospora caninum är en relativt nyupptäckt intracellulär protozo som kan orsaka sjukdomen neosporos hos framför allt nötkreatur och hundar. Antikroppar mot parasiten har hittats hos en mängd olika djurslag i naturen, men vilken roll den vilda faunan spelar i parasitens epidemiologi är inte helt känd. Det har gjorts få seroprevalensstudier av Sveriges vilda fauna men resultaten från dessa tyder på att N. caninum inte är någon utbredd smitta i Sveriges natur. I andra länder är parasiten mer vanligt förekommande.

Försvarsmaktens omställning från ett nationellt invasionsförsvar till ett flexibelt insatsförsvar har för flygvapnets stridsflygdivisioner, likt som för många andra förband, inneburit stora förändringar i hur verksamheten genomförs. Ett tidigare relativt jämnt flöde av verksamhet och resurser har nu bytts ut mot årsvisa cykler med variationer i resurstilldelning divisionerna emellan. Syftet med detta arbete är att först undersöka hur dessa cykler påverkar piloternas uppfattning av sin arbetssituation. Därefter diskutera hur denna uppfattning påverkar flygvapnets krigföringsförmåga. En undersökning har genomförts på flygvapnets fyra stridsflygdivisioner.

De boende på området Svartudden har uppmärksammat Piteå kommun på gång- och cykeltrafikanternas problem att korsa Svartuddsvägen på ett trafiksäkert sätt. Gång och cykelvägen trafikeras frekvent av framförallt barn till och från skola. I nuläget finns ett obevakat övergångsställe och en trång GC- port som sommartid används av motionärer. Vintertid är tanken att porten ska fungera som skidport men eftersom en för bred pistmaskin används som spårdragare skapas en riskfylld trafiksituation. Projektgruppen förordar att skoter används som spårdragare.

The technical development is advancing at high speed and now the turn has come for the traditional paper to digitalize into the so called e-paper. The newspaper industry has started to investigate the future possibilities of publishing the traditional newspapers on e-paper. Today?s newspapers are mostly financed by advertisement incomes, which makes the advertisers important players, who must be taken into consideration at an introduction of the e-paper. Since the e-paper does not exist as a finished product in the market today, in this essay we look into what kind of functions or services that can attract advertisers to the e-paper on the basis of the experiences made with the breakthrough of the web-newspapers.

Sommarturismen i Sälen är i ett utvecklingsskede. I Sälen har man skapat en projektgrupp vars uppgift är att utveckla sommarturismen i regionen. Syftet är även att locka besökare så Sälen kan hålla öppet sina anläggningar året om och skapa arbetstillfällen även på sommaren för dem som jobbar vinterhalvåret. Denna projektgrupp består av en styrgrupp med representanter från olika företag i Sälenområdet, från de lokala aktörerna, kommunen och Skistar. Skistar är de företaget som äger anläggningarna i Sälenfjällen.
