Filmberättandets kraft : om att vara pedagog och konstnärlig ledare i skolan
This essay follows a Media Teacher in her work as a coordinator and an artistic leader for a European project called Legalopoli concerning laws and ethics in a senior level school for 13-16 year-olds in Mora, Sweden. The students write film stories about how their characters have to make choices in ethical dilemma situations. Then the learners create interactive computer games together through practical film work. At the same time we can see how the educator also gets into difficult ethical situations, when she is working with the students. This forces her to self-reflection.
Ett samarbete sinsemellan : Ungdomsorganisationer
Det är ofta man får höra och läsa om att barn och ungdomar ses som ett problem i samhället utifrån deras handlingar och beteende. Under de senaste åren har ungdomsorganisationer ökat i antal vilket har gjort att ungdomarna har fler ställen att gå till och tillbringa sin lediga tid på.Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka några ungdomsorganisationer genom att intervjua anställda inom organisationerna och på så sätt få en uppfattning om deras syn på arbetet, filosofin och utvecklingen i organisationen.De teorier vi har valt att använda oss av i vårt arbete är human resource management (organisations uppbyggnad), grupp processer samt samspel inom relationella perspektiv. För att på bästa sätt kunna undersöka det har vi valt att utgå från kvalitativa intervjuer på grund av vår undersökning präglas av de anställdas känslor och tankar som är svåra att beräkna i kvantitativa undersökningar.Det vi fått fram under vår tid med uppsatsen är att samarbete mellan organisationer är något som uppskattas och visar en framgång i arbetet med barn och ungdomar. Där det brister i de organisationer vi varit ute på är i den ekonomiska delen som till exempel visar sig i för få anställda. Det positiva är att man ständigt ser en positiv utveckling inom ungdomsorganisationerna som i sin tur påverkar samhället.
Omhändertagande samt bemötande av suicidnära och självskadande patienter i det akuta skedet i somatisk vård : En litteraturstudie
The aim of this literature review was to elucidate how suicidal and self-harming patients should be treated and cared for, mainly in the acute phase in somatic care. Searches were conducted in databases with relevant keywords. Qualitative and quantitative articles were included, would not be more than 20 years, be written in Swedish or English, and match the aim of the study. Results showed that nurses and patients felt that the treatment would be respectful, non-judgmental and characterized by active listening and clear communication. Poor care was described as disrespect and lack of understanding.

Earlier research has shown that generational differences between younger-supervisors and older-workers may cause tensions that lead to team ineffectiveness. There is however still a lack of research in this area. This thesis presents possible tensions that might occur between a younger supervisor and an older worker due to their age and generational affiliation, and how these tensions affect the team dynamics. The empirical data collection was limited to the boundaries of the dental care industry where these generational/age differences between younger supervisor and older worker are common. The thesis looks at the tensions from a qualitative perspective and data was collected in the form of in-depth interviews with selected dentists and nurses.

Flerspråkighet i skolbiblioteket : Hur skolbibliotekarien ser på sin roll i arbetet med flerspråkiga elever
The multicultural society of today where individuals have varied cultures and languages is different to the homogeneous society of the past, and sets new demands upon the school. The school library can play an important role when it comes to the integration and the acceptance of students with a different mother tongue. Provision and access to literature in the student?s mother tongue is seen as a strong indicator of a school that promotes a multicultural environment, and it?s also linked to the student?s feelings of identity and self-confidence. Their knowledge in their mothers tongue is crucial to the acquisition of a second language, and learning in extension.The purpose of this bachelor is to examine how school librarians work with multilingual students in junior high school, and what they consider to be their roles in this context.Confirming previous research, mediation of information and promotion of reading was a central task to the school librarians we interviewed.
Impulsköp och självscanning - ett omaka par
This study aims to explore how self scanning affects consumers impulse buying. Up til this day researchers are not aware how technologies like self scanning affects consumers behavior in-store. Consumers with self scanners are able to keep track of the rising sum, which could affect their buying behavior, especially when it comes to impulse purchase. Furthermore customers have to commit to scanning products which keep them from browsing the store for offers, which could limit the impulse buying. This study undertake a descriptive methodology with Beatty and Ferrells impuls model from 1998 as a theoretical platform where we examine disparities between self scanners and non self scanners.
Föreställningar hos patienter med Diabetes Mellitus Typ 2
Background: Type 2-diabetes is now a public health problem, which constitutes 85-90 percent of diabetes care. The district nurse´s role in treating a diabetic (/person with diabetes) does not only comprise pure medical treatment but also support, advice and training to the individual. In our profession as nurses, we have found that medical knowledge in patients with Typ 2-diabetes is not always enough to obtain changes in lifestyles.Aim: The purpose of this study was to investigate the illness perceptions in patients with Type 2-diabetes and their impact on health behavior.Method: This qualitative study used grounded theory as a method. Results: The informants described in the interviews, their perceptions of living with Type 2-diabetes. The analysis revealed the main category periodic health behavior built up on and related to five categories developed in data: preventive health awareness, guilt, confidence in medical treatment, motivational problems and periods of insight.Conclusion: This study contributes to understanding of patients with Type 2 - diabetes their beliefs about illness and how it affects everyday lives.Keywords: Believes, District nurses, Groundey Theory, Illness perception, Type 2-diabetes.

Our purpose with this research has been to obtain a deeper insight and understanding for the phenomenon and term ?weekday-luxury.?Through our research, we have found a link between value, service, brands and consumer behaviour into a relationship that we termed ?weekday-luxury.? This link of values is particularly interesting to us and we are curious about the underlying motivation to ?weekday-luxury? and the driving forces underlying the phenomenon. We have noticed in society that people need something extra in their daily lives and we attempt to speculate where their perceived value lies through the concept of ?weekday-luxury." Our goal is to determine a deeper understanding and insight into this phenomenon and how it meets our needs through an identifiable pattern. We also analyze the nature of ?weekday-luxury? and its meaning.
Vad styr sortimentet hos svenska perennaodlare? : en studie baserad på sju företag i Sydsverige
The purpose of this study is to clarify the most important factors that affect Swedish perennial growers when designing their assortment. The study describes how herbaceous perennials are produced in Sweden today and try to give an answer to the question how growing method and choice of assortment are affecting the possibilities of Swedish producers to compete on the market.
Seven perennial growers in the southern and western parts of Sweden have been interviewed about their production methods and on what basis they design the assortment of perennials. During the interviews five factors seem to be the most important when the growers choose which species to grow ? profitability, the characteristics of the species, the sales channel/customer, the growing environment/growing facility and the grower?s interest and knowledge. It is often a combination of these five factors deciding if a cultivar will be grown or not.

This report is focusing on problems with introducing standard enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) in businesses. A study has been carried out on a service and support department at a Swedish heat metering company, SVM North Node. The study aims to help the company become a better customer in choice and customization of a new ERP system. We make a description of the department studied and the work carried out there, on the basis of learning, knowledge and cooperation. As a final point we present some ideas on how computer systems could support their work, hoping that this will result in them making adequate demands on a new ERP system..

We have also studied three global business to customer (B2C) companies, Mars, Unilever and Nestlé, to get a picture of brand managers? role and responsibilities within the B2C environment which is already quite far ahead in the development of the brand management thinking..
Matematik ? en svartvit skiss eller ett färgstarkt konstverk : En fenomenografisk studie om lärares uppfattningar av vad elevers tilltro till lärande i matematik innebär och hur den främjas.
Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie, utifrån en fenomenografisk ansats, var att beskriva lärares uppfattningar av vad elevers tilltro till eget tänkande och egen förmåga att lära matematik innebär och hur de gör för att främja detta. Datainsamlingen bestod av intervjuer med lärare från förskoleklass till och med år sex.Lärares uppfattningar beskrevs i att eleven visar lust, mod, stolthet och ansvar, särskilt när eleven vågat ta sig igenom en utmaning som den först inte trott sig klara. En förutsättning för tilltro var ett tryggt gruppklimat.I främjandet av tilltro tog lärarna utgångspunkt i elevers erfarenheter med positiva förväntningar på eleverna i en lustfylld och kommunikativ undervisning. Uppmuntran och utmaningar på adekvat nivå, som skapar förståelse är kännetecknande för att eleven ska känna att den lyckas.Det omgivande samhället har stor betydelse för elevers tilltro. Lärarens engagemang, nyfikenhet och uppmärksamhet på elevers tillägnade kunskaper för att erövra nytt matematiskt kunnande var av vikt för tilltron.
