Today's children characterized and named according to Palfrey and Gasser for digital natives. Children are shaped by the use of media and ICT (Information- and Communication Technology) in a natural way. If their participation in environments where the media and ICT is common, it leads to other conditionsthan the previous generations. The purpose of this study was to understand and describe what teachers say and do to create involvement in children's use of media and ICT tools. The former media education development works carried out at preschools in PiteÄ municipality was the starting point and inspiration for the study. Study was based on a qualitative approach. Qualitative interviews and participant observations were carried out at one preschool in PiteÄ.

The purpose of this Master's thesis is to examine if stereotype gender patterns are showing, and how they are showing, in the picture books that have the highest number of loan in Sweden?s three biggest cities. It is also a purpose to show if these gender patterns can be compared to the outlook on gender in the curriculum. The method used is a qualitative text analysis. 13 picture books are analyzed on the basis of Yvonne Hirdman?s theories on gender and Maria Nikolajeva?s theories on children?s literature.

Under studien har nya infallsvinklar tagit form och lett studien till resultatet: MusiklÀrarens pÄverkan. "A discourse analysis of the debate on prostitution 1993-2011" The aim of this essay is to investigate how prostitution is constructed in the debate. The analysis is based off debate articles from four of the biggest Swedish news papers. Articles from two periods of time has been chosen, 1993-1999 and 2008-2011. The specific periods were selected because they revolve around the Swedish ban on the purchase of sexual services in 1999, and when it was evaluated in 2008. With a constructivist aim based on gender research, the themes and subject positions of the debate are explored via discourse analysis.

Under slutet av 2010 och vÄren 2011 har ett utvecklingsprojekt pÄgÄtt hos AlexIT AB. MÄlet var att skapa en mobilapplikatioin för individer som vill bokföra sin alkoholkonsumtion. Som en del utav arbetet önskade projektgruppen bjuda in slutanvÀndare till processe, för att ta del utav deras idéer och feedback.Genom att lÄta en grupp slutanvÀndare sjÀlva skissa och beskriva sina lösningar och en annan grupp jobba fram en pappersprototyp tillsammans i en workshop gavs utvecklaren ett brett stöd för val i designprocessen.Det visar sig att de som individuellt skissa har inte lÄtit sig begrÀnsas av antingen kravspeciifikationen eller mediet (mobiltelefon), utan har istÀllet beskrivit funktionalitet framför design. TvÀrtom har de som jobbat i workshop hÄllit sig inom ramarna för kravspecifikationen och mediet och skapat en komplett och implementerbar pappersprototyp..

Even though discrimination of gender in schools and general workplaces is prohibited by Swedish law, there are reports and witness accounts that suggest that discrimination, such as sexual harassment, still exist in Swedish schools.The main purpose with this essay is to look into how questions concerning gender related issues and equality between the sexes is treated in the schools governmental directives, and in textbooks, such trying to examine in what way these questions are addressed in schools. I will answer the following:In what way and to what extent do the governmental directives bring up questions concerning gender related issues and equality, and how are the teachers governed into teaching these matters?Has there been any change concerning these matters between Lgr-80 and Lpo-94?What is written in textbooks in social studies about gender rĂŽle and equality and to what extent do they follow the curriculum?Is there any visible change in textbooks written after Lgr-80 and Lpo-94?In order to answer these questions I will analyze the curricula, Lgr-80 and Lpo-94, and textbooks in social studies written on the basis of these curricula.The study showed a more evident governing towards an active teaching and mentoring the students to equality between the sexes, in Lgr-80 than in Lpo-94. The textbooks followed above all Lgr-80 in three of four cases and in the fourth case the curriculum was not followed at all..

The purpose of this study is to find out how buyers of forest-and farm land have valued the property's various parts. How buyers has valued the forest, field, pasture, house and the farm buildings on their property. A questionnaire with 22 questions was sent to 68 people how had bought a property in Kronoberg or Blekinge. They had bought the property in 2010 and first half of 2011, and the properties have been provided by LRF-konsult. To each question there were several alternatives and the buyers would choose the alternative that was most similar to his or her opinion. The study is based on 57 responses.

Optimizing energy systems is, in Sweden, as in many other countries, of growing interest. District heating systems are no exception. In 2012, 285 out of 290 municipals in Sweden had district heating in use and the majority of these systems have a higher return temperature than that which is possible with an error-free substation of day current technology. To, when possible, lower the return temperature is a way of increasing the effectiveness of the district heating system.This study means to investigate, through simulations and calculations, how big of a reduction in production cost a lower temperature in the city of Ystad?s district heating system would correspond to.

Den hÀr undersökningen har sin grund i den pedagogiska dokumentation som samlat in vid ett tidigare estetiskt projektarbete, i kursen Förskoledidaktik med inriktning mot etik och estetik, hösten 2011, vid Stockholms universitet. Arbetet utfördes pÄ en smÄbarnsavdelning vid en förskola i en av Stockholms norra förorter. Syftet med den hÀr undersökningen var att synliggöra vad det var för meningsskapande som visade sig nÀr de allra yngsta barnen pÄ eget initiativ anvÀnde sig av fotografierna i pedagogisk dokumentation. UtifrÄn ett rikt kvalitativt material har en systematisk genomgÄng skett av fÀltdagbok, stillbilder och videofilmer varefter avgrÀnsning skett till att endast undersöka Fredriks tio meningsskapande möten som visade hur han pÄ eget initiativ anvÀnde sig av fotografierna i pedagogisk dokumentation. Det var framförallt de möten som benÀmns (i) Barninitierad dialog utifrÄn fotografi och (ii) Fotografierna lockar barnen till samma görande som den visualiserat beskriver, som Fredrik anvÀnde sig av dÄ han ville skapa sig mening.
