Denna uppsats är skriven inom ämnet allmänt utbildningsområde och behandlar frågeställningar kring filmens relation till historieundervisningen och hur film kan användas som pedagogiskt redskap inom historieämnet i grundskolans senare del samt i gymnasieskolan. De teoretiska grunder som främst används är två. Det ena är teorier kring historia, historieskrivning och film som historiskt dokument. Det andra är de didaktiska teorierna och hur dessa kan relateras till användandet av film i undervisningen.Som metod används teoretiska studier samt kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare inom historieämnet, verksamma inom både grundskola och gymnasieskola. Intervjuerna ger exempel på hur film används i historieundervisningen idag.Huvudlitteratur inom didaktiken är Gunns Imsens bok Lärarens värld, Magnus Hermansson Adlers bok Historieundervisningens byggstenar samt Christer Karlegärd och Klas-Göran Karlssons bok Historiedidaktik.Inom filmområdet är huvudlitteraturen Pelle Snickars och Cecilia Trenters bok Det förflutna som film och vice versa..

Uppsatsen handlar om cineliteracy; att öka sin kompetens att tillgodogöra sig rörliga bilder. Jag undersöker huruvida brittiska filminstitutets femstegsmetod är en fungerande modell för att stimulera elevernas lärandeprocess av komplex film. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the quality notions used by the library personnel responsible for the video game department at Malmo City Library. Furthermore, the thesis aims to assess how these notions of quality relate to properties of the actual collection of video games. The empirical results are based on interviews with the responsible library personnel. The result is then analyzed by an interpretation of Carl Gustav Johannsen?s library adapted, theory-based, model of quality definitions.

Varje år producerar Hollywood flertalet filmer med utgångspunkt i historien och dessa formar den allmänna uppfattningen om historiska händelser och personer. Även i klassrummen har filmen hittat in och blivit en naturlig del av undervisningen för många historielärare. Det är dock, som tidigare forskning har visat, oklart huruvida dessa filmvisande lärare har en pedagogisk tanke bakom att trycka på Play. Denna uppsats syftar till att ge en bild av historielärares didaktiska syn på att visa film i undervisningen utifrån frågorna vad, hur och varför de gör det. Kvalitativa djupintervjuer efter en intervjuguide har genomförts med fem gymnasielärare.

I min studie har jag undersökt hur strömmande media (video) används på Umeå kommuns webbsida. Dessutom har jag analyserat och jämfört hur sex kommuner i Sverige använder rörliga bilder på sina kommunala hemsidor. De sex kommuner som jag har valt att studera har som gemensamt drag att samtliga sänder respektive kommunfullmäktige live med hjälp av strömmande video. Slutligen diskuterar jag orsaken till att kommunala hemsidor använder strömmande media i liten skala och drar några slutsatser som relaterar möjligheter och hinder i användning av strömmande media på kommunala hemsidor..

New technology has created new opportunities for journalists working with web TV. Changes in the work processes have led to new professional roles. According to the theory of media logic such events become news that suits media organizations and working conditions. How does the media logic affect the editorial workflow and how does it affect professional roles? In light of my own experience in various roles in television journalism, I examine how the web TV format shapes the work of journalists.

Den här studien handlar om hur ett antal lärare använder film och andra multimediala verktyg i engelskundervisningen. En del i undersökningen berör de tillfrågade lärarnas hänvisningar till styrdokumenten och de olika delar av läroplanen de väljer att citera. För att belysa lärarnas syn på olika läromedel innehåller arbetet också en kortare analys av hur man, enligt forskare, bör använda läromedel i skolan idag. I anslutning till debatten kring läromedel och variation av undervisningen diskuteras också lärarnas syn på motivation och elevernas intressen. Early Swedish films from the 1910?s and 1920?s are not only an important part of Sweden?s cultural heritage, but also an important part of the international film heritage. This period is often refereed to as the golden age of Swedish film history. Despite this fact, the possibility to watch Swedish films from this period is very small and the main purpose of this thesis is to examine why the availability of these films has such low priority in the Swedish film policy and at the Swedish Film Institute. With the use of policy analysis, I study governmental policies and policies from the Swedish Film Institute for early Swedish films and seek to identify the policy problem and its different parts.

The material of the essay exists of two games and five reviews. The method that is being used is a content analysis. The games that are being analysed are Jade Empire and Grand Theft Auto ? San Andreas.Main results: The video games are often connected to brutal violence but the analysis of the game Jade Empire shows that it is possible to hve control of the violence in the games and that the player has a possibility to choose the outcome of violence.

Syftet med denna uppsats handlar om att undersöka och jämföra hur tre svensklärare beskriver sitt arbete med film i svenskämnet och hur de ser på filmens roll i svenskämnet. För att uppnå syftet ställs tre frågor: Hur ser de på film i relation till styrdokumenten och som ett eget textbegrepp? Hur ser de på film i relation till litteratur? Hur ser de på film i relation till ungdomar? Denna studie bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer som gjorts med tre svensklärare på gymnasiet. Intervjuerna har spelats in med diktafon, transkriberats, analyserats och jämförts.     Resultatet visar på att film används för att illustrera en epok eller ett litterärt verk eller som en jämförelse i samband med tematiska arbeten. Två av de tre lärarna beskriver filmens roll i relation till styrdokumenten.

The making of a cultural historical exhibition usually involves the collaboration of two categories of professionals: the curator, in charge of the exhibition content, and the designer. From these positions, representing content and form, the team is in charge of cooperating towards a shared goal ? the exhibition ? which is the spatial expression of ideas.This MA thesis is based on my work experience as a designer of cultural historical exhibitions. By means of situations where my perspective collided with that of the museum curators?, I examine our different concepts on a number of issues: the meaning of an exhibition; the process; and the perception of what our respective roles are.

The main aim of this research was to investigate four humour styles, affiliative, self-enhancing, aggressive, and self-defeating humour, and compare these with emotional perception. Forty-eight persons took part in the research, 27 women and 21 men living in the southern part of Sweden. Two humour tests were used: the Humour Scale Questionnaire ? HSQ, with 32 items, and a newly composed video test, assembled after pilot testing from 26 video clips, the Humour Video Questionnaire ? HVQ. To measure perception and interpretation of emotion, the revised version of the ?Reading the Mind in the Eyes? Test was used.

This paper is a study of documentary film production with focus on the filmmakers choice and usage of sound equipment. Using professional articles and literature have first of all helped us determine a standard for the conventional use of sound equipment in documentary film. Afterwards, by analyzing our own interviews we?ve received answers on how filmmakers relate to the conventional usage and why they select equipment as they do. Thereafter, we describe a technical method which helps a filmmaker to be able to record sound for documentary film on his/her own, using simple measures without reducing quality.
