Den här uppsatsen handlar om turism och resande. Jag har valt att inrikta mig på storstadsturism och storstadsweekends i utlandet i min undersökning. Idag är storstadsturismen mycket stor, inte minst i Europa. Många turister väljer att åka på så kallade storstadsweekends, vilket innebär att man gör en kortare resa på några dagar till en storstad, ofta över en förlängd helg. Det handlar i de flesta fall om resor till europeiska huvudstäder, men resmålet kan även vara välkända städer i USA.

Denna uppsats behandlar varför, hur och på vilket sätt fem personer - två kvinnor och tre män födda på 1980-talet - har sett på komediserien Friends; Vänner i svensk översättning. Materialet till uppsatsen utgörs av en transkriberad fokusgruppsintervju med de fem respondenterna, av vilken jag har gjort en tematisk analys. I uppsatsen söker jag även svar på vad serien har betytt för respondenterna, hur själva tittandet på serien har gått till samt huruvida detta kan ses som en medieritual såsom en sådan definieras av Nick Couldry i boken Media rituals ? A critical approach (2003).Uppsatsen tar avstamp i begreppet mediatization; medialisering i min svenska översättning, som av Johan Fornäs definieras som den process där media fyller mer och mer av vardagslivet, kulturen(1995: 1). En följd av medialiseringen är att kulturella texter blir allt viktigare för människors identitetskonstruktion, hur vi relaterar till varandra och vår kunskap om världen omkring oss (ibid.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka styrningen av unga vuxna inom ett av Sveriges ledande försäkringsbolag. Den problematik som legat till grund för studiens ämnesval är den uppmärksamhet svensk och internationell media på senare tid skapat kring dagens nyinträdda arbetskraft. Den unga arbetskraften beskrivs som individer som ställer betydande krav på sitt arbete i form av självständighet och flexibilitet. Samtidigt som tidigare studier visar på att traditionell, byråkratisk organisering finns kvar inom dagens organisationer. Resultat som motsätter sig den unga arbetskraftens krav om självständighet och flexibilitet.

Background: Mergers have been increasing during the latter part of the 1990s. In the Nordic region many previously national companies have joined their forces to create a new Nordic company. This will lead to many challenges when the companies are integrated.Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the integration phase. Our goal is to study the integration of Cloetta Fazer and learn how the company can handle the two types of integration. Procedure: To be able to prove our assumptions, that were made on the basis of literature, we have collected empirical material by interviewing eight managers at Cloetta Fazer.

"Ekskolan" is a monumental school placed in the middle of the new town area "Mariehäll" in Stockholm, Sweden. 600 pupils between preeschool until year 5 will use the school and its big schoolyard between the townsquare and the public park.The school will be built in massiv wood, both for human reasons with a environment of good, healthy and suitable material for the people and the school activity.The school is seperated in 3 volymes that organises different years; house B and C, and the common facilities: house A. The purpose with this study was to analyse students' conception of living things, and to establish how a social constructivist learning situation affect their conceptions. The method consisted of questionnaires, followed by group discussions and a final survey. The main result was that students have everyday conceptions about scientific phenomena that are reinforced by the social interaction. Some students were positively influenced by the interaction with their peers, where non-scientific conceptions were replaced by conceptions of a scientific nature. Furthermore, the cultural artifacts are of very good means, but the study showed a strong need for a knowledgeable person, e.g.a teacher, to guide students in the right direction during the discussions.

Rapid urbanisation is putting strains on both the landscape and the city dwellers and the pressure on planning for sustainable and equitable cities is crucial. As many cities in Sub-Saharan Africa are expanding, city planning has trouble keeping up to meet the needs of the growing amount of urban dwellers. Many cities have also been planned with the cars in focus and the needs and comfort of the pedestrians have been overlooked. The capacity of institutions is limited due to centralized government and bureaucracy, as well as corruption. Planning is erratically implemented and it is difficult to know what will happen.

The purpose of this thesis was to examine relevance of the proposition made by new insitutionalists about institutional and technical environment. This proposition originaly made by Meyer & Rowan (1977) has two core assumptions: The first is that all organizations are controlled by combinations of types of demands; technical demands for efficient production and institutional demands to adept to cultural and normative expectations. The second assumption is that there exists a few organizations dominated almost entirely by one typy of demand. Organizations dominated by institutional demands are said to live in an institutional environment, while technical organizations is said operate in a technical environment. This thesis has examined if these assumptions are still applicable in describing organizational interaction with the environment.

How is the fat body constructed in public spaces? This essay deals with the experiances of five participants, being fat in public spaces. The fat body is often constructed as "matter out of place", more or less expected to be invisiable in public spaces. But living with a fat body isnt all about assimilation, wearing black clothes to fit in or staying at home in fear of facing comments of your body. More than being a body constructed as improperiate in public spaces, the participants view can be described as "revolting".

The point of interest in this study is to identify whether ethnicity is a correlating factor regarding Hungarian immigrants? development of identity in Sweden. The general aim is to increase knowledge and understanding of the conditions for the Hungarian ethnical group in Sweden to reach self-realization. The main question is whether the general view of the background of this ethnical group has a connection to their self-realization in Sweden? Since the study involves a whole group of minority, a limitation has been made to adults living in the city of Halmstad, Sweden.

Subject of this study is the evolvement of the radical art music scene in Sweden. In this development took the labour movement an active part during the 1960s. The purpose of this study is to examine how the relationship between the radical art music scene and the labour movement was constituted and what this relationship implied for the Swedish radical art music scene during the 1960s.During the 1960s radical music became an influencial part in the Swedish music scene of modern art music. SammanfattningEftersom människor befinner sig till stor del av sin vakna tid på arbetsplatsen har denna blivit en viktig arena för hälsofrämjande arbete. Studier visar hur viktigt det är för företag att ha friska och hälsosamma medarbetare. Hälsa är en förutsättning för ett sunt arbetsliv.
