Självkontroll - En kriminologisk översikt
Att självkontroll har en påverkan på mänskligt beteende har diskuterats under många år men vad menas egentligen med begreppet självkontroll? I sin undersökning av begreppet använder sig studien av jämförelse mellan två teorier som båda tar upp begreppet självkontroll vid sin definition av brott. Dessa är Michael Gottfredson och Travis Hirschis, självkontrollsteori och Per-Olof Wikströms, situationella handlingsteori.
Syftet med studien är att utveckla vad begreppet självkontroll innefattar i allmänhet samt behandla begreppets roll och utveckling inom två teorier som båda har sitt ursprung inom kriminologin. Begreppet självkontroll har en mycket bred och omfattande definition inom kriminologins ramar därför fokuserar denna studie endast på två specifika kriminologiska teoriers användning av begreppet.
Situationsanpassning av ekonomistyrning - en fallstudie av Ferrosan A/S
En jämförelse mellan ekonomistyrningen i Ferrosan A/S och contingency theory har visat på en hel del likheter, men även vissa intressanta skillnader. Likheterna har främst funnits inom situationsvariabeln omgivning. Den mest intressanta skillnaden berör kopplingen mellan kontrollverktyget budgetering och situationsfaktorn strategi, där det förefaller finnas vissa oklarheter om budgeteringens roll givet en viss strategi. Tecken tyder på att omgivningsvariabeln i Ferrosans fall är överordnad strategivariabeln. Avslutningsvis är det tydligt att contingency theory fortfarande är outvecklat inom vissa områden.

The aim of this paper is to see if Sweden has implemented the recommendations and taken notice of the guidelines for employment that the Commission and Council set up every year and from this see the role of the Commission and Council for the national employment politics. The years that I focused on in the paper are year 2000- 2004. The method that is used is a case study research that is exploratory and explanatory. The theoretical starting points are theories about delegation, cooperation and a variation of control and autonomy. This is recognized in the Principal- Agent theory and the Principal- Supervisor-Agent model.
Studenters attityder till hemförsäkring
Vi vill öka kunskapen kring vilka attribut som påverkar studenters attityder till tjänsten hemförsäkring. En undersökning har gjorts på komponenten ?Attityd till ett beteende? som är en del av ?Theory of Reasoned Action? och ?Theory of Planned Behaviour?. Data är insamlad från två mindre fokusgrupper som är förstaårsstudenter vid Luleå Tekniska Universitet. Vi har identifierat vilka attribut dessa studenter anser som viktigast hos tjänsten hemförsäkring, vilka är pris, innehåll, varumärke och service.

A thesis in Social work studies (15 credits) at Malmö University, Hälsa och Samhälle 2012.
The discussion about sex and gender is always prominent in a social work context. Our purpose and questions are hence based on the discussion on transgender theory and the way of thinking about the non-binary, and how it relates to the nearby theories. The method of the essay consists of a semi systematic literature overview with the focus on discussing transgender theory in relation to other theories and perspectives, such as modernism, post modernism, feminism and queer theory. We answer the following questions:
1. Is it possible to go beyond or exceed the binary of sex and if so, how do we see it in the material we examined?
2. In what way are the existing theories of sex / gender in the binary?
3. Can one featuring a female embodied subject be of assistance to transgender people's search for an embodied subject?
We consider it possible to move beyond the binary by using ?fuzzy logic?(Nagoshi & Brzuzy 2010, Tauchert 2002) which is a way of staying in the binary but expanding the term and work in the grey areas instead.
Psykosocial arbetsmiljö bland chefer vid kommunala vård - och omsorgsboenden : - en intervjustudie
Introduction: First line managers in the public sector, are under a great pressure from both senior management, leadership, politicians and often from a large group of employees. Few studies have been made on the first-linemanagers psychosocial work environment, even though in the studies found that the manager affects their employees work environment.Aim: How first line managers in municipal elderly describes the psychosocial work environment on the basis of demand-control - support model.Methods: The study was conducted through individual interviews with six first line managers. Respondents were recruited through a strategic selection in a medium-sized municipality in Västernorrland. The interviews were conducted using an interview guide. Qualitative content analysis with an deductive approach was used as a method of interpretation of the results.Results: First line managers point out the difficulty in balancing the requirements and several managers also mentioned the importance of having clear role descriptions and objectives.
Syntaktisk komplexitet hos ungdomar och vuxna med läs- och skrivsvårigheter
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if there are any differences regarding syntactic complexity in written language between persons with (phonologically based) reading and writing difficulties and a control group. Earlier research has pointed to such a difference, indicating that texts written by subjects with reading and writing difficulties display a lower grade of syntactic complexity than text written by control groups.Two texts each from 48 subjects (24 from each category) were collected. The subjects were divided in two age groups, one consisting of 15-year-olds and the other of university students (adults in various ages). The subjects were selected through a word decoding test and a spelling test, where the lowest performing formed the group of reading and writing difficulties and the highest performing formed the control groups. Adaptive QoS Management in Dynamically Reconfigurable Real-Time Databases
During the last years the need for real-time database services has increased due to the growing number of data-intensive applications needing to enforce real-time constraints. The COMponent-based Embedded real-Time database (COMET) is a real-time database developed to meet these demands. COMET is developed using the AspeCtual COmponent-based Real-time system Development (ACCORD) design method, and consists of a number of components and aspects, which can be composed into a number of different configurations depending on system demands, e.g., Quality of Service (QoS) management can be used in unpredictable environments. In embedded systems with requirementson high up-time it may not be possible to temporarily shut down the system for reconfiguration. Instead it is desirable to enable dynamic reconfiguration of the system, exchanging components during run-time.
Vi har i alla fall aldrig varit apor! : En postkolonial studie om kreationism bland unga
This case study examines how a group of upper secondary school students in a multiethnical suburb of Stockholm reason about the theory of evolution. The theoretical background of the thesis is postcolonial and the questions raised were how spread the creationist thoughts are in the group; in what way the backgrounds of the students are relevant to their thoughts; how the students construct the notion of the theory of evolution; how they position themselves and others in relation to the discourse of the theory of evolution; if there are any differences between students at the collage program of natural science and the collage program of social science, and in that case, what differences; and who or what inspires the young in their thoughts about the theory of evolution. To answer these questions both a survey poll and interviews were used. The result of the case study showed that a majority of the students at the investigated school has creationist ideas and that the students profiled on social science have creationist ideas in a wider extent. Another result is that the religious background seems to be relevant to develop creationist thoughts, while the variables gender, home district and educational level did not differ the creationist group from the whole group.
"Att orka vara själavårdare" : En jämförande studie av copingresurser i pastoralkliniskt och kontextuellt själavårdsparadigm.
This study aims to find coping resources in two different paradigms of pastoral care using coping theory from the psychology of religion. The intention is to find coping resources that are functional coping strategies to help priests and chaplains in their work with pastoral care. The research questions are: What coping resources can be found in the pastoral clinical paradigm and the contextual paradigm? What are the differences and similarities? The method used is template analysis style where the theories form a framework for the material used to analyse in this study. The theories used for this study are religious coping theory and pastoral care theory.

Inledning: I yrkesrollen kommer de flesta psykoterapeuter regelmässigt i kontakt med missbrukare som försöker ta sig ur sitt beroende. Ofta refererar de som lyckas med detta till begreppet "En kraft starkare än vi själva" som de menar sig ha tagit hjälp av för att tillfriskna. Föreliggande arbete är ett försök att tränga djupare i denna fråga kring hur tillfrisknande missbrukare använder sig av detta begrepp.Frågeställningar:1. Existerar en skillnad i attributionsstil vad det gäller den verksamma agensen för drogfrihet mellan deltagarna i olika behandlingsmo-deller/behandlingsmiljöer och hur ser den i så fall ut?2.
Organisationer emellan, En jämförande fallstudie av företagsinkubation
Business incubation is an important force of economic development but relatively unheard of in organization theory. This is partly due to the fact that in organization theory, meta-organization or the organization of organizations has been neglected or left lagging as much theorization has been focused on organizing individuals. With the growing number of business incubators, and meta-organizations in general, the need for understanding a relatively new type of organization is prevalent.This case study of the business incubator Global Business Labs Botswana (GBL) aims to clarify the organizational differences among meta-organizations and traditional organizations on a case level, as well as explain the underlying factors for these dissimilarities. With respect to the nature of this case study no general conclusions are drawn from the results. The inference, however, is that the organization of GBL and its incubated companies differs from the traditional organization in five elementary aspects: the weak hierarchical structure, the operational autonomy of its members, the strong focus on recruitment processes, the member identity and the lack of formal sanctions.

The application of performance-based pay system among enterprises is becoming more frequent. Performance-based pay systems is used by organizations in hope of increasing productivity and have become more flexible. Employees may perceive the performance-based salary as a motivator or a threat depending on lifesituation and personality. At a perceived threat, the employee may become stressed. Work-related stress has become a serious social problem that can have consequences for both companies and individuals.
Att lyckas när oddsen talar emot : Hur lämnar man gängkriminaliteten-den enda gemenskapen?
The purpose of this study was to create a deeper understanding for, and shine a light on the exit process for former criminal gang members. Which conditions appear to be important and what may constitute the enabling and inhibiting factors of an exit process? The study was based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with respondents who themselves have experience of a criminal lifestyle and gang affiliation, and with professionals in social work. Our theoretical approach is based on Helen Ebaugh?s definition of an exit process, labeling theories, strain theory and Control Theory.
