The aim of this thesis is to model my artistic practice on an adaptation of Joseph Campbells monomyth and, using this model, investigate challenges of performativity in art (in public spaces). The overall themes are personal, aesthetic and ethical sovereignty and an uncompromising search for a deepening of the artistic practice. More than anything else it is a map and a story of an artist?s expansion out into an artistic field that is little developed in Sweden. It is my hope that this thesis, by using a thoroughly subjective tone, will contribute to the milieu of performative arts in Sweden as well as widen the ?how? regarding the making of a written thesis..

The aim of this thesis is to assess the strategic importance of Central Asia as a whole and interests of great powers in the region in particular within the theoretical framework chosen. The work shows Central Asia as an area of the New Great Game, analogue of the original Great Game which was played out between the British Empire and Tsarist Russia in XIX century. The parallels between the original Great Game and the New Great Game are drawn in order to understand the scope and the true intentions of the players of the latter one. Also, the security issues in the contemporary Central Asia are explored and analyzed to provide with the background for future predictions. Furthermore, the indirect purpose of the thesis is to examine whether the international system has changed from that of two centuries ago by comparing the structure of the international systems at the time of two Games.

This thesis focuses on employers? use of non-­?solicitation of employees in commercial contracts within the union?s internal market and how this can result in restrictive practices in violation of European law. Using legal method, legal economic considerations, and guidance from modern American legal development in antitrust law, this thesis is aiming to investigate how this kind of anticompetitive cooperation in the European labor market should be assessed. The result seems to be that despite a distinct and pronounced restrictive approach to the application of EU competition rules in the labor market, there are strong incentives and not any legal impediment to apply Article 101 TFEU on no cold call agreements between employers. .

Outdoor advertising is not very often discussed within city planning even though the commercial messages occupy much of public space. The advertising signs affects not only the physical environment but also social life. In this report I would like to acknowledge and question the presence of advertising in our everyday environment. Outdoor advertising is not a new phenomena, technical progress however, results constantly in new expansions in the environment. Today advertising occurs in all sorts of shapes in the cities, both as free standing signs and as signs attached to facades, incorporated in city furniture such as bus shelters and on vehicles moving along the city streets. Grouping advertising into two categories; local and national, reveals that the different categories have different impact on public space.

This paper is about how the contemporary discourses on the slut in various ways discuss sluttyness, and what consequences these discussions may be for those who see themselves as sluts. The study is based on five electronic interviews, conducted via instant messaging, with five people who consider themselves to be dealing with sluthood and that, according to their own definitions, identify themselves as sluts. My conclusion is that sluttyness, when given the opportunity to be discussed and problematized, visualizes power and normative systems between sluts. This means that sluttyness is more complex than only influenced by patriarchal oppression and hierarchy of femininity, as I show through an intersectional conscious analysis.  .

These symptoms include, among other things, aggressiveness, inactivity, activity disturbance, anxiety, hallucinations and depression. The symptoms can create a negative impact of those with dementia, their caregivers and their next of kin. The aim of this project was for me to write two complete songs and to get to know my creative process better. I wrote two songs, made musical arrangements for them, transcribed the music in Sibelius, rehearsed the material with two musicians and at last recorded it in a studio. Throughout this I kept track of my own creative process. The project resulted in two complete songs with arrangement. I learned that I have some difficulty handling adversities in my songwriting, and that it was not so easy to get to know my own creative process as I thought.

This thesis examines the relationship between the marginalization of ornamentation during functionalist modernism and the effect it had on female graphic design practice. In Peru guinea pigs are raised for meat production and salmonellosis is considered as a major problem. Studies have detected salmonella in animals with enteritis and pneumonia. Salmonellosis exists both in an acute and a chronic form. In the rural areas the diagnosis is made according to clinical signs and macro pathological findings at autopsy. The major systems applied for the guinea pig production are often classified as family, family-commercial and commercial. These systems differ in number of animals and how industrialised they are.

Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka dirigentens repetitionsteknik, kommunikation och ledarskap med musikerna under repetition av nutida konstmusik med instrumental solistensemble respektive symfoniorkester med professionella musiker. Metoderna som användes var dels mitt konstnärliga arbete som dirigent genom repetitioner och konserter av nutida musik med solistensemblen Norrbotten NEO och Gävle Symfoniorkester, dels sju intervjuer med professionella dirigenter och musiker. Det konstnärliga arbetet dokumenterades med videoupptagning medan intervjuerna dokumenterades med ljudupptagning. Analyserna av respektive material skedde i efterhand och var huvudsakligen kvalitativa, även om kvantitativa inslag förekom.Resultatet visar att dirigenten bör ha tydlig slagteknik och gestik och tydligt reda ut komplicerade rytmer och instruera musikerna. I första hand ska dirigenten arbeta med de musikaliska parametrarna rytm/samtidighet, dynamik/balans och artikulation men det är viktigt att dirigenten också kan gestalta musiken och lyfta den till en högre nivå.Slutsatserna är: 1) ju mer okänd och komplex musik desto viktigare att förmedla en musikalisk helhet till den enskilde musikern och låta den förstå sin stämmas funktion i helheten; 2) ju färre musiker i ensemblen desto viktigare att dirigera med små slag och gester, gärna sittande, och att lyhört genom diskussioner med musikerna, ta del av deras kunskap och förslag till musikalisk gestaltning; 3) ju fler musiker i ensemblen utan specialkunskap i och intresse för nutida musik desto viktigare att inspirera och motivera den enskilde musikern.Skillnaderna mellan solistensemble och orkester kan ofta vara stora; det kan gälla såväl kunskap om och intresse för nutida musik som förväntningar på dirigentens kommunikation och ledarskap.
