Introduction: Domestic violence is a big public health problem and the hiddennumbers over victims are big. There is a lack of scientific research in the Nordiccountries when it comes to how the health- and medical care identify and care for thevictims of domestic violence. Aim: This literature review has two aims: To investigatewhat kind of methods maternal health services, child health services and gynecologyclinics in the Nordic countries use to discover women and children exposed to domesticviolence and to investigate if there are any guidelines to go by when a victim ofdomestic violence is identified. Method: A literature review. 12 articles were found inPubMed, Scopus and Cinahl and three more were included after a manual search.

Fortunately it is a relatively uncommon occurrence but happens nonetheless to young athletes who often seems to be in perfect health. SCD is used as a term for sudden unexpected complications on the cardiovascular system that leads to a deadly outcome normally within the first hour of onset of symptoms and the cause is some sort of underlying cardiovascular disease that gets triggered by physical activity.Normally athletes gets divided into two groups dependent on age, over and under 35 years, and this studies focus is on the younger group since it is often during this period athletes are at the elite level. It is also in this category the most unexpected sudden deaths occur that is not due to coronary atherosclerosis, which is the dominant cause of death, and drastically increases, for people over 35 years old.AimThe aim of this study was to scientific and unbiased analyze peer-reviewed clinical articles todescribe the pros, cons and cost to implement an ECG-screening as a standard before physicalactivities for specifically defined elite athletes.MethodA systematic review was performed and after all data collection 21 articles was chosen to beused as a base for both background and analyze. At the end 10 articles was fulfilling the criteria to be used at the analyze and later the results.ResultsThe implementation of ECG-screening has reduced SCD in Italy by 89 % between the years 1979-2004.

Sväljkapacitet kan skilja sig åt mellan olika åldrar och kön. Detta kan inverka på prestationen på så kallade vattensväljtest. Ingen uttömmande studie har gjorts angående effekt av ålder, kön och vattenmängd på sväljförmåga hos friska vuxna i Sverige. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att presentera normdata för tre olika mått på sväljförmåga: sväljtid, sväljkapacitet och antal klunkar vid 1 respektive 2 dl vatten hos friska vuxna, samt att undersöka effekter av vattenmängd och ålder respektive kön på sväljförmågan. 239 vuxna deltagare stratifierades utifrån ålder och kön.

Changes in the labour market combined with an increased media coverage of managers, have resulted in the rise of a new human due diligence industry. The use of background checks has lately become increasingly popular on the Swedish market and many companies use it as an evaluation tool when recruiting. This study investigates differences in the background screening procedure for recruitment to executive management positions and lower level positions. It also aims to answer why background checks are conducted, using a cultural and a functional perspective. The report takes an abductive approach and data has primarily been gathered through a survey directed to large Swedish companies.

The Swedish stock-market gives investors an opportunity to benefit from the global growth while financing companies invests and contributes to a socio-economic development. Parallel to the ownership of the funds also follows a responsibility as companies in the funds affect society and the environment. The growth of savings in funds, combined with an increased focus on sustainability has developed SRI (socially responsible investment). Therefore it is interesting to examine whether responsibility is an exception, which only concerns SRI-funds or a general principle, which includes the whole Swedish stock-market.The results of the survey makes it clear that all the Swedish major banks actively works to integrate sustainability within the respective bank's business to achieve a more sustainable financial system. Thus concludes the investigation that responsible investments are a general principle on the Swedish mutual stock-market.How responsibility is integrated in fund management differ between the banks.

SyfteSyftet med studien var att undersöka inter- och intrabedömarreliabiliteten för rörelseanalysen ?9+ screening batteri? hos en grupp unga fotbollsspelande flickor med avseende totala bedömningen av rörelseutförandet. MetodTolv friska fotbollsaktiva flickor (13-14 år) deltog i studien. Testerna genomfördes vid två tillfällen med sju dagars mellanrum. Screeningbatteriet bestod av elva funktionella test samt tre tilläggstest. Utförandet bedömdes av sex sjukgymnaster som alla hade liten vana av att använda testbatteriet. ResultatGruppen hade ett medelvärde på 17.2 ± 1.3 (95 % CI; 14.4?19.9) vid testtillfälle 1 och 17.4 ± 1.8 (95 % CI; 13.4?21.5) vid testtillfälle 2 av totalt 33 poäng.

Orofaciala funktioner såsom mimik, tal, tuggning och sväljning är viktiga för livskvaliteten. Det råder generell brist på normerade test som bedömer dessa funktioner och därför har Nordiskt Orofacialt Test ? Screening (NOT-S) utvecklats. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att normera NOT-S för barn med typisk utveckling i åldrarna 3:0-6:0 år. Testet består av en strukturerad intervjudel och en undersökningsdel med sex avsnitt vardera.

A manufacturing machine at the engineering company Sandvik Coromant has a positioning table which task is to move an item linearly. The positioning table has a linear motor capable of high velocity and acceleration. This makes it possible to achieve short cycle times and a more profitable production.The purpose of this thesis is to bring forward a new concept which is more adapted to the requirements of the positioning table. The reason is that the current positioning table provides an unnecessarily positioning accuracy of 0.01 mm, while the requirement for the positioning accuracy is just 0.1 mm. The goal is to reduce manufacturing and component costs.To develop a suitable solution an approach for the concept development process has been performed.

Syftet med vårt examensarbete var att ta reda på om användning av Concept Cartoons, som hjälpmedel vid naturvetenskaplig undervisning, kan skapa elevdiskussioner som har sådana kvaliteter att det gynnar naturvetenskaplig begreppsbildning. Till grund för arbetet ligger Lpo 94, kursplaner och tidigare forskning. Undersökningen genomfördes i en skola i Östra Norrbotten och undersökningsgruppen bestod av 12 elever i år 5. Undersökningsunderlaget samlades in genom bandinspelningar av gruppdiskussioner, enskilda elevintervjuer samt observationer. Resultatet visade att enbart Concept Cartoons som hjälpmedel inte är tillräckligt för att skapa kvalitativa diskussioner.

Objective: The aim of the study is to describe pupils' understanding of the mathematical concept of function. How do pupils define the concept of function? What images of the concept of function evoke when they solve tasks, which involve identifying and constructing functions?Theory: A student's thinking about a mathematical concept depends on more than just the formal definition of the concept; therefore Tall and Vinner introduce the term concept image to describe the role cognitive structures play when students learn about concepts. The cognitive structure includes all mental images, associated properties and processes that an individual associates with a given concept. According to Sfard, an individual's understanding of mathematical concepts may have different character: an operational conception, where a concept is conceived as a process and a structural conception, where the given concept is conceived as an object, that is, as a whole.Method: 16 pupils at the Science Program at two different upper secondary schools inSweden answered a questionnaire on the mathematical concept of function.

Malnutrition är ett stort problem hos äldre patienter, och leder till ett antal följdsjukdomar, förlängda vårdtider samt en ökad dödlighet. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva sjuksköterskans arbete med att förebygga malnutrition hos äldre patienter på sjukhus eller äldreboenden, samt att beskriva de olika tillvägagångssätt som finns för att identifiera riskpatienter. Metoden var litteraturstudier där tio kvantitativa artiklar granskats med avseende på vetenskaplig kvalitet. Resultatet visar att sjuksköterskors arbete med att förebygga malnutrition främst bör inriktas på två områden; omvårdnadsåtgärder och screening. Resultatet presenteras utifrån sex teman.

Bakgrund: Enterohemorragisk Escherichia coli (EHEC) är en toxinproducerande bakterie somkan orsaka sporadiska fall av infektion men även ge upphov till allvarliga utbrott. Sjukdomen kan ge symtom alltifrån okomplicerad diarré, blodig diarrétill mycket allvarliga symtomsom hemolytiskt uremiskt syndrom (HUS). De flesta EHEC-falli Sverige förekommer i åldersgruppen ett till fyra år.Syfte: Studienssyfte var att undersöka värdet av en EHEC-screening hos barn under tio år genom att kartlägga förekomst av EHEC och distribution av serotypoch stx-typer. Ytterligare ett syfte var att undersöka om den kliniska bilden är beroende av serotyp och stx-typ. Därutöver undersöktes hur länge man utsöndrars tx i avföringen.Metod: I studien ingick alla barn under tio års ålder, som lämnat avföringsprov under perioden 1 maj 2003 till 30 april 2013i Jönköpingslän.
