Karakterisering av bioslam för modellering av biogasproduktion
The report aims to investigate how well a certain type of affordable embedded single board computer can hold up against today's more expensive computers in a computer system by doing various tests on a system with the specified requirements. The system has a Raspberry Pi as the single board computer which task is to control a camera based on coordinates obtained from a server as well as capture and stream a video signal on a network.The researches were conducted to check how much network traffic a single-chip computer sent in different video formats and how much CPU utilization was required. Studies were also made to ensure the accuracy of the camera control. The researches have been experimental, where several tests have been performed and analyzed.The results show that a sufficiently good accuracy can be obtained from the camera steering unit, in which two different servos have been investigated. When the video format MJPEG and H.264 are used, the single-chip computer is able to transmit a video signal up to 1280x720 at 15 fps.
Mätning av besökares ljudtrycksdos under musikfestival
Folkets Hus och Parker gav under våren 2008 en förfrågan om att under sommaren
uppmäta den ljudtrycksdos en normal festivaldeltagare tillskansar sig under ett
festivalbesök. De mätningar som genomfördes skedde på tre olika festivaler,
Hultsfredsfestivalen, Peace & Love och Storsjöyran. Mätningarna skulle ske över
hela festivalbesöket och inte endast innefatta mätningar av konserter, för att
kunna ge en rättvisare bild av den ljudtrycksdos som en person kan tänkas
utsättas för under en festival. De två av Socialstyrelsen uppsatta gränsvärdena
som ska följas är att evenemanget ska hålla sig under ett medelvärde på max 100
dB(A)LEQ och dess toppvärde får vara högst 115 dB(A). I överlag kunde vi se att
ljudnivåerna hölls relativt bra inom riktvärdena på de tre festivalerna.
En studie av inbyggda brandväggar - Microsoft XP och Red Hat Linux
Detta kandidatarbete utreder hur väl två operativsystems inbyggda brandväggar
fungerar i symbios med en användares vanligaste tjänsteutnyttjande på Internet,
samt att se hur likartade de är i sitt skydd från hot. De två operativsystemen
som vi utgick ifrån var Microsoft
Windows XP samt Red Hat Linux 8.0.
Den hypotes vi arbetat kring lyder enligt följande: De två inbyggda
brandväggarna är i stort likartade rörande skydd från hot på Internet och
uppfyller användarnas tjänsteutnyttjande. De metoder vi använt, för att svara
på vår frågeställning, har delats upp i ett funktionalitetstest
och ett säkerhetstest. I funktionalitetstestet provades de vanligaste
Internettjänsterna med den inbyggda brandväggen och ifall det uppstod några
komplikationer eller ej. De två inbyggda brandväggarna genom gick i
säkerhetstestet skannings- och svaghetskontroll via ett flertal
verktyg.
Genom resultatet kan vi konstatera att de inbyggda brandväggarna klarar av de
vanligaste tjänsterna på Internet, men att en skillnad föreligger hos dem vad
gäller exponeringen ut mot Internet.

Denna rapport behandlar en fältstudie genomförd på en kommunal teknisk
förvaltning samt en analys av studiematerialet. En tekniklösning på konceptuell
nivå arbetas fram. Metoder och synsätt för fältstudien beskrivs samt relationer
till forskningsområden som CSCW och CSCL.
Problembilden som kommer fram rör en åldrande personalkår där kunskap och
erfarenhet önskas ta till vara. Kompetensutveckling och informationsspridning
ligger högt på önskelistan hos personalen.
Dataspel, en naturlig del av folkbibliotek? ? En fallstudie på Helsingborgs stadsbibliotek
This paper aims to investigate how Helsingborg?s city library?s visi-tors feel about computer games being available for lending and in which way computer gamers see Helsingborg?s city library as a resource. This was examined first with a study of 100 of the library?s visitors and then with five interviews with computer gamers and an interview with the librarian responsible for purchasing games.The study showed that most visitors were neutral to having games at the library and of the ones that were not neutral many more were positive than negative. Of the five gamers who were inter-viewed, there were several who had borrowed games in the past.
Elektronisk identifiering vid 24-timmarsmyndighet - en fallstudie i Karlskrona kommun
Användningen av Internet och antalet nya tjänster ökar mer och mer. Internet är
ett öppet system och för att Internet i högre utsträckning skall kunna användas
även vid hantering av känslig information krävs bättre säkerhet.
Syftet med denna rapport är att utifrån Karlskrona kommuns säkerhetspolicy samt
medborgarnas åsikter om säkerhet, undersöka vilken eller vilka
säkerhetslösningar som lämpar sig bäst vid den planerade 24-timmarsmyndigheten.
I denna rapport undersöks vilken eller vilka av de alternativa
medborgarcertifikat som myndigheter får använda sig av. Målet är att komma fram
till en möjlig lösning för elektronisk identifiering inom den framtida,
24-timmarsmyndigheten inom Karlskrona kommun.
För att genomföra denna utredning har vi använt oss av intervjuer, enkäter och
litteraturstudier. Rapporten innehåller även bakgrundsfakta för att få en ökad
förståelsen av innehållet.

Abstract
This report is our bachelor thesis. Our work has taken place at a galvanising
company in Sölvesborg. The company faced major changes, of which one was a
computerisation process. The new system could involve changes in work practice
and in specific tasks, affecting the workers. If the coming system was to
support work, from the production personnel?s perspective, we felt a legitimate
participation in the development and design of the future work practice, was a
requirement that was not met.
During our ethnographical studies we noted that conflicts arose between
production and administrative -personnel.
Ledarskap inom ramen för ett systemutvecklingsprojekt - fokus på en arbetsprocess med stöd i Vattenfallsmodellen
Many research reports mention the fact that a huge number of all system
development projects never reach a successful ending; with other words never
fulfil formulated goals. By identifying and forming success factors (and in
some aspect risk factors) that the project manager in practice can use, this
study may be seen as a step in the direction towards minimising the high number
of failed system development projects.
The purpose of this research report is to investigate how a system development
project, where the development process is based on a specific development or
process model (in this case the Waterfall model), can and should be driven. I
aim to clarify what is demanded of a project leader for the specific
development process and give an account for which eventual leadership qualities
that can be well suited for given situation in relation to the need for
technical competence.
Among other things the project manager should inspire confidence, drive, be a
decision maker, engage and own some form of basic knowledge in the field of
system development.
Datorspel - en lek eller sport? : En studie om hur tre svenska dagstidningar framställer e-sport och datorspel 2000-2013
This essay examines how three big Swedish newspapers depicts e-sports and computer gaming and how the depiction change during 2000-2013. The study will also examine whether e-sports is being portrayed as competitive sport. The purpose is to investigate which attitudes that can be identified towards computer gaming and its culture in major newspapers such as Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet and how these attitudes eventually changed over time. The sources that will be used in both the quantitative and qualitative analysis are based on web articles, mainly because the paper editions does not provide much, if any, information about computer gaming and e-sports and also because of the convenience of being able to quickly find articles to study. Results indicate that computer gaming is being depicted in a clear negative fashion during 2000-2006, and that the depiction of e-sports is somewhat positive but not as glorifying as for the years 2007-2013. During this period, there is a apparent tendency of e-sports being introduced to readers who are unfamiliar with the gaming culture. As for the attitudes towards computer gaming, the depiction is still somewhat negative, mainly because the debate about computer games and violence was revived because of several acts of violence in shape of school massacres and mass murder.
De autistiska barnens dataprogram - hur bör de vara?
This report presents a study of the basic criteria for computer programmes that may be consideredadequate for aiding children with autism in their education and upbringing. I have based thisstudy on descriptions, opinions and proposals from people who deal with treatment and/orother issues concerning children with autism, as well as relevant literature.The study has been carried out in a major Swedish metropolitan municipality. The intervieweeswere civil servants from this municipality and representing different institutional endeavourson the issue of autism.I used a combination of both quantitative and qualitative techniques, as there was need for bothstandardization and qualitative variation. The main aim of the study was to seek suggestionson how computer programmes should be. That is, if they are to be considered appropriate föraiding children with autism develop their personality.The general conclusion of this study is that computer programmes, that may be consideredappropriate for the above mentioned purpose, should have certain characteristics of whichpedagogic usefulness and user suitability are of primary importance..
Pedagogik och Lärande : Infact - En grafisk inlärningsprocess
This report of 10 credits is a C ? level essay in informatics.The report presents the result of our investigation. The purpose is to answer our problem statements:?How does computer-based graphical pedagogical tools work compared to traditional teaching aids? What is the users view upon the content? Is the information too hard or too easy? Does the structure work better than the traditional website design??Infact is a system that has as its primary goal to present information in a pedagogical way to let users of all ages and sexes learn from the contents. The information shown on the web page www.forskning.se is about Swedish and international research and the sites primary target users are high school students.In our investigation we asked a total of sixteen students divided into three groups a number of questions where after we started a discussion that we hoped would yield some answers about Infact and the homepage in general.Our main conclusion is that Infact is a good tool to use side by side with the textbooks and the traditional teaching aids.

För många verkar det dock, enligt källor, vara ett besvär. Borde man ha

lätt komma ihåg sitt lösenord eller är det för riskabelt? Det har visat att
många tycker om att

Pensionären och paddan : En studie av pensionärers upplevelser av läsplattor
Portable IT devices such as laptops, smart phones and computer tablets are becoming ever more ubiquitous. At the same time, the population of the Western world is growing older, with aging bringing about changes with regards to individuals' physical and mental capabilities. These facts raises important questions about how well suited these devices are for use by elderly people. This study focuses on the cognitive aspects of the devices' usability, using the concept of mental models to analyze the users' understanding of a computer tablet. It also draws upon theory of graphical user interfaces in its analyses.

Aim: The aim of this essay is to study the external communication of Science Park Jönköping, how they want students in Jönköping to perceive them. Further we would like to compare thatinformation with how students in Jönköping actually perceive Science Park Jönköping. Do the both pictures agree?Method/Material: Together with literature studies, a qualitive method has been used.Two interviews with the managers of Science Park, and five focusgroups with students havebeen conducted.Main Results: The main result from the focusgroup interviews shows that the students perceived image of Science Park correlates in many ways with Science Parks profile. But the study also shows that Science Park do not apply many of the relevant theories that would benefit their marketing..
Den statsvetenskapliga diskursen : En innehållsanalys av statsvetenskapliga doktorsavhandlingar 2000-2013
A possible "discursive turn" is believed to have been observed within Swedish political science in later years. The purpose of this study is to examine whether or not such a turn has actually taken place, in order to further determine if a resulting theoretical homogeneity poses a risk to the ability of Swedish political science to identify and respond to its full width of possible research problems, and to determine its perspectives on both these problems and the results that are later communicated to the general society. To do so, the study poses the following primary research question:"Has a discursive turn occurred within Swedish political science?"This question is then broken down into two specified research questions."Has discourse analysis become a more common approach for doctoral dissertations in political science during the period of 2000-2013?""Have ideas corresponding with discourse theory become more common within doctoral dissertations in political science that are not pure discourse analyses during the period of 2000-2013?"These questions are then answered by examining all known 406 doctoral dissertations in political science published in Sweden during the 21st century up until (and including) the year of 2013, using two forms of content analysis, one manual and one computer-assisted. The study finds no clear evidence of a discursive turn in Swedish political science since the turn of the century.
