E-post och internkommunikation : en studie av upplevelser kring användandet av ny kommunikationsteknik

Purpose/aim: To investigate individual experiences of how a new Communication technology, e-mail, influences a) the structure of the internal Communication ? does it for example make networking any easier? ? and b) the form of the persons everyday language.Material/method: A theoretical framework gathered through a literature study and empirical data gathered through interviews with two persons.Main results: Differences and similarities exist between the experiences studied in this paper. The most unexpected result is that the system of e-mail does not seem to be able to create new channels of Communication. If anything, it reinforces the structure that already exist. An aspect of decisive importance is the original rules and norms concerning internal Communication within the organization..

Ett bankkontors präglade kommunikation : Arbetet med ett kontors interna kommunikation

The purpose of this study is to investigate two Handelsbanken offices and how they work in similar ways when dealing with internal Communication. The goal is to answer if and in what way the managers` and the employes perceive their internal Communication at the two bank officies. By a comparation between the two decentralisized officies the aim is also to study what differences and/or similarities that exists in internal Communications?Are managers and employees satisfied with the Communication that flows in the organization? I find it interesting to investigate in wheather there exist a similarity in the internal Communication between the managers and the employees since it is a decentralized organization.I have made five semi-structured interviews with two managers at two different Handelsbanken offices. Additionally two interviews with two employes at one of the offices and also one interview at the other Handelsbanken office.By the study I have found that all respondents have a positive impression according the internal Communication.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: The purpose of this paper was to identify the Communication process at the company Cherry casino and see what opinions the employees had about it. Moreover, an evaluation of the used strategies was done and an analysis about what perhaps could be done to improve the attitude, Communication and in the end the result for the company.Material/Method: The empirical material was gathered through qualitative interviews and theory application.Main results: The transmission of information regarding the regular work related information works just fine and the channels used are well chosen. But more large-scale information that deals with the company?s plans, strategies and targets is not handled in the right way. Neither is the respond.

Kommunikation mellan bank och kund: en studie angående kommunikationen mellan akademiker med några års arbetslivserfarenhet och banken

The purpose of this thesis was to examine what the Communication between bank and customer looks like. We have more specifically studied how the bank communicates with the customer when communicating different offers, how the customer wants the Communication to take place, what Communication problem looks like and how the customer wants the bank to design their offers. Our target group was bank customers with academic degree, with one to seven years of working experience. This study was conducted trough interviews with bank customers and representatives at the bank. On the basis of our studies we found that the Communication between bank and customer works fairly well.

Medarbetares behov av kommunikation : Ett medarbetarperspektiv på kommunikation vid en organisationsförändring

Changes are occurring in most organizations today and due to the fact that changes often are harder to implement than they seem, it often takes much longer time to implement them than the management have planned. During an organizational change theorist claim that Communication between managers and employees is one of the most important things to consider. Therefore, in this essay, our aim is to closer investigate which needs of information and Communication co-workers have during a planned organizational change. To collect data, we interviewed five co-workers and one manager who works in an organization which has gone through a major change. Our theoretical framework comprises former research of organizational Communication, employee?s needs of Communication, change Communication and theories of uncertainty during organizational change.

Internkommunikation på Gruvön : Modern kommunikation inom industrin

The bulk of the research within the field of media and Communication is concentrated at theforefront of development, studies focus on modern companies and modern Communication.However, many people work in the industry, where the conditions for Communication are partly different. The aim of this study is to explore the possibilities for internal Communication that the employees have at the base industrial company of Billerud Gruvön, Sweden. How important do they feel that Communication is? Can the internal Communication within Gruvön be described as modern, where dialogue between the staff is possible, or as orders from the top down to the bottom of the hierarchal structure?These are our research questions:Which channels are used for Communication within Gruvön, and how are they used?How important do the employees deem the internal Communication to be?Can the Communication within a hierarchal industrial company such as Gruvön be described as modern, where dialogue is at the center, or does the Communication consist basically on orders from the top down to the bottom of the chain?Our research is based on the following theories: Communication, Organizational Communication, Internal Communication and Organizational culture. We have looked to earlier research such as the doctorates of Simonsson (2002) and Johansson (2003) to further our understanding.The methods used are interviews with operators, middle management and the informationofficer at Gruvön.

Abstract: When playing in teams, Communication is important, not just Communication with words but also non-verbal Communication such as gestures and body languish. The purpose with this study is to see how there is a co-op among communicating players , between leaders and players and to examine what meaning Communication and culture got  in a youth team. The ambition with this study was to increase our knowledge about Communication and Communicationculture in the youth floorball team. This study is qualitative and was inspired by an ethnographical method so we got the information from observations of a youth floorball team, totally we made four observations. The result were analyzed and categorized from our observation papers.

Internkommunikation, dess funktion och betydelse för projektmedlemmars motivation.

Previous research has shown that internal Communication can be linked with how motivated a project team is, but research that shows examples of how this works is missing. This paper therefore aims to study how two different IT projects are working with internal Communication. By analyzing its strengths and weaknesses, we wanted to study how these could be linked to the project team's motivation. In doing so, we wanted to be able to give examples of how projects could work with internal Communication to motivate their project teams. Essay questions of the study are:? How does the internal Communication occur in the projects?? Which strengths and weaknesses are to be found in the internal Communication?? How does the internal Communication influence the project members' motivation? To fulfill the purpose of the study it was needed informants interviews with the project manager for each project to access the facts, and respondent interviews with the project members from each project for accessing opinions.The results from the interviews show that both projects have effective Communication, even if it looked different, and doesn't quite agree with what previous research recommends.

The study aimed to evaluate picture Communication during clinical as-sessment and intervention procedures in paediatric care. As part of the project KomHIT (Augmentative Communication in paediatric health care settings) care professionals at different care units were provided with education and designed pictorial supports. These consisted of appointment letters with pictorial support, visual schedules and Communication boards with both general and specific vocabulary. Care professionals and parents to children with and without Communication disabilities participated. Survey data from care professionals and parents at five care units was supplemented with qualitative data from an interview with a multiprofessional group at one of the care units.

The children in my story are at an early stage of development and they all suffer from multiple disabilities which inhibit their ways of communicating. Superiors believe that the organization has a corresponding view on the internal Communication, while co-workers are convinced this is not the case. This despite the fact that the results in the end show that both groups overall have very similar opinions on several of the elements in question. Another mutual opinion is that both groups wish to receive more information about current events and such.

Den professionella kommunikatören : En undersökning av svenska kommunikations-ansvarigas syn på sitt arbete jämfört med de formuleringar som anges i Stockholm Accords

The purpose of this study is to investigate the Swedish Public Relations and Communication profession from the Stockholm Accords point of view. The Stockholm Accords are an attempt to reflect Public Relations and Communication Management practice as it stands today and to provide a global common ground for the practitioners.The method used for this study is a quantitative research method conducted by a web survey answered by more than 400 Swedish Communication managers. The questions posed were examining these managers view of their profession compared to the Stockholm Accords.The research shows that the Swedish way of implementing Communication in the organization broadly corresponds to the Stockholm Accords when it comes to internal and external Communication. However, there are some areas where Swedish Communication practice diverges from Stockholm Accords. The issues which link governance, management and sustainability to Communication have a much wider distribution of responses.

Skillnader i kommunikationsstil mellan individualistiska och kollektivistiska kulturer

The purpose of this study was to investigate if preferences for high- and low context Communication differed significantly between individuals from individualistic and collectivistic cultures, living in a multicultural environment. A quantitative survey was used as method and the survey was answered by 150 students at Jönköping University and Uppsala University. Two self-assessment scales, obtained from previous studies were used to measure the degree of the two cultural dimensions and Communication styles. Two multiple regression analyzes were performed to investigate the connection between collectivist cultures preference for high context Communication and individualistic cultures preference for low context Communication, that has been found in previous studies. Two ANOVAs were also performed to investigate differences in Communication style depending on sex and length of stay in Sweden.
