Bränslen för fordon och maskiner på Strukton Rail - Miljö- och hälsoaspekter
Spårtrafik är ett miljöanpassat trafikslag. Produktion och underhåll av spåranläggningar är dock beroende av fossila drivmedel. Användning av dessa drivmedel är Strukton Rails främsta miljö- och arbetsmiljöaspekt. I denna rapport undersöks andra drivmedel än de som används på företaget i dagsläget för att finna bättre alternativ ur miljö- och arbetsmiljösynpunkt..
Växelrevision: alternativa metoder vid underhåll av
spårväxlar
Detta är ett avslutande moment på civilingenjörsprogrammet Ergonomisk design och produktion med inriktning mot industriell produktionsmiljö vid Luleå tekniska universitet. Arbetet omfattar 30 högskolepoäng. I framtiden kommer tågtrafiken att köra med ökade axeltonslaster och kortare omploppstider vilket innebär att kapaciteten på järnvägarna måste höjas. Spårväxlarna kommer att utsättas för ökat slitage samtidigt som tiden för underhåll kommer att minska. Som det ser ut idag är det nog svårt att få tider till att utföra underhållsarbete av spårväxlarna så om inga förändringar görs kommer dagens metoder att bli ohållbara.
Omkonstruktion av hjulvändare
Duroc Rail AB utför underhåll av järnvägshjul till olika järnvägsoperatörer. Duroc har för tillfället problem i verkstaden med en av de två hjulvändarna, dessa hjulvändare har som uppgift att ta emot, växla och vrida hjulpar till ett korsande spår. Hjulvändaren knuffar sedan vidare hjulparet till nästkommande station. Genom att använda sig av en hjulvändare kan ett hjulpar växlas till ett korsande spår och på så vis möjliggöra att ett hjulpar som endast behöver svarvas om kan slippa passera nästkommande stationer. Den hjulvändare som Duroc har problem med har trasiga bälgcylindrar och då det inte finns reservdelar till denne har Duroc valt att man vill omkonstruera eller hitta en ny lösning på hur hjulparen ska vändas.
Impulsmätning medelst gradvis deflektion av alla sprayer från högtrycks common rail spridare
A method for measuring the total impulse from a multi hole diesel injector, introduced inprevious thesis work, ?Development of a method and a device for measuring the momentumrate of fuel sprays?, by Mikael Lindström, has been further developed and tested. The conceptis to simultaneously deflect all sprays from a multi hole diesel injector by using a bell shapeddeflector. The fuel sprays are deflected straight down from their initial umbrella angle, andthe resulting deflection force is measured in a thin strained section of the load cell. The strainis given by three strain gauges, with quarter-bridge circuitry for each gauge.
Rapid Exchange Solution (RES) : En mekanisk omlastningslösning för horisontell överföring av containrar mellan olika transportmedel
Detta examensarbete genomfördes våren 2013 på Karlstads universitet där TD Rail & Industry i Västerås stod som uppdragsgivare. Projektet innefattade att kartlägga nuvarande omlastningslösningar av enhetslaster mellan järnvägstransporter och vägtransporter, och utarbeta en konceptuell omlastningslösning med fokus på att öka järnvägstransporternas flexibilitet gentemot vägtransporterna. Där vikten lades på att utarbeta ett välarbetat helhetskoncept.Projektet genomfördes med designprocessen som grund och innehöll bland annat momenten; förstudie, kravspecificering, idégenerering, konceptval m.m.Resultatet blev en vidareutveckling av det redan befintliga systemet CCT som bygger på horisontell överföringsteknik och möjliggör därför omlastning av enhetslaster direkt under kontaktledning. Skillnaden mellan RES och CCT är att man tagit bort ombyggnationen av tågvagn och lastbilschassi, som var en av CCTs stora svagheter, genom två hydrauliska ?teknikplattor?.

The purpose of this study was to look at the common opinion about children in Cambodia. By interviewing the professionals in different help organizations we studied the common opinion about children in general and the common opinion about children who are exposed to sexual trafficking. The ambition of the study was also to see if the common opinion about children in Cambodia affects the help that is available for the children who are exposed to sexual trafficking.This is a qualitative study including semi structured interviews with seven professionals who work with vulnerable children. The interview guide focused on the themes: children?s needs, sexual trafficking, children?s rights, childhood, children?s sexuality and gender.

The aim of this study was to look into why children receive the interventions contact person and contact family. This was done by studying case-files. The main questions were:- How common is it that there are reasons for the intervention linked to parents and which are the most common?- How common is it that there are reasons for the intervention and problems linked to children and which are the most common?- Is there any indication of connections between reasons, age, gender or type of intervention? If so, what are the connections?The main results of this study were that most of the children lived with a single mother, often with a weak social network, and in need of relief. It was more common that reasons were linked to children then parents and the most common reasons indicated a need for an extra adult.

AbstractThis study is based on qualitative interviews with five-year-old children from a nursery school and two teachers with great experience. The purpose with the interviews is to find out what knowledge these children have about the Right of Common and what the teachers think they need to find this knowledge.The children didn't know what the word Right of Common stands for but when they got more concrete alternatives they had good experiences. The two teachers had different opinions about what is the most important concerning the stays in the nature. Exercise meant a lot for one teacher. To have fun and to use all your senses were more important for the other one.

The City of Gothenburg has an urgent need to upgrade its public transport. The capacity of its light rail transit (LRT) has reached maximum capacity within the inner city limits years ago. The construction of an underground metro will be very expensive and time consuming due to the soft clay beneath the city. The apparent need of developing another type of mass rapid transit (MRT) is urgent. An elevated metro have turned out to be a success in Greater Vancouver, but is it possible for the system to operate well in Gothenburg with its narrow streets and current land use; will its route coexist with the current LRT or will the noise disturb people too much?.

Around 4000 years BC the inhabitants of southern Sweden started to use the agricultural system and people become more stationary. The farms were located together in groups and together they formed a social association, the village. Successively the population grew and in some areas the forest started to become a finite resource.

Causes of thrombocytopenia in dogs ? a retrospective study of 123 cases
The purpose of this retrospective case study was to determine which diseases are associated with thrombocytopenia in Swedish dogs. Records of 123 dogs with thrombocytopenia were evaluated. The most common cause was neoplasia-associated thrombocytopenia (32%). The largest proportion within this group was unspecified neoplasia.

To be able to maintain an adequate ITservice for various users and needs,more municipalities are looking at thepossibility for mergers of local ITdepartments. One solution for mergingmultiple services/functions and creatingsynergy opportunities is called SharedService Center (SSC). The concept of SSCis that the administrative serviceitself becomes a core activity withinthe organization. The aim of this thesisis to provide municipalities who areconsidering a merging of their local ITdepartments with recommendations on howto design the Shared IT Service Center.Recommendations are outlined based on ananalysis of IT-management literature,reports and by conducting a study onthree ongoing collaborations.The conclusions drawn from the studysuggest guidelines for the design of aShared IT Service Center formunicipalities. Abandoned and unused railway structures often possess
great potential if they are reclaimed and reused for new
purposes. The thesis focuses on the global trend of
restoring and revitalizing these areas, converting them
into park areas, rail trails and green corridors in the city
landscape, while preserving their ecological, social, esthetic and historic values.
These rail areas were often abandoned when industries
moved out from the cities, either to industrial areas or
abroad. The use of railways for transporting industrial
goods was also replaced to a large extent my motorized
road vehicles in the mid 20th century, leaving the rails
under-utilized. Because of their location and intrinsic
values, they can be reused for important functions, such
as green areas in the city environment, providing space for
recreational activities and exercise and social meetings and
interactions.
I have closely investigated the three park areas High Line in New York, Promenade Plantée in Paris and Schöneberger
Südgelände in Berlin, which have all gone through this
transformation in recent years. I have summarized my
conclusions in three key concepts to consider: design for
social values, preserve the architectural history, and leave
room for future evolution.
The final part of my work is a design program for an
abandoned railways area in Stockholm: Eriksdal railway
area.
